The location and the views from the hotel room balconies were magnificent. The pool was also well situated for views. Breakfast looked good - lots of fresh fruit - and the coffee was good. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The shower was powerful! The decoration in the hotel, full of old family photos and tools from when it was a Smithy are fascinating. Staff were pleasant and helpful, without being over powering. Totally charming!

    wifi would have been useful.

Friendly hotel beautiful views lovely food at the restaurant and at breakfast

Only one safe road for motorbikes and cars do not follow sat nat it will take you on narrow cobbled steep road which is treacherous. Best to stop in main square and ask for directions.

We had a large spacious room with a large balcony overlooking the village and hills. There was also a car park, although somewhat tricky to get to (through very narrow streets) it was nice to know the car wasn't out in the street. The La Fragua Restaurant was as good as everyone says and not expensive.

Mattress cover on beds. Good view of terrace. Sister restaurant is very good. Breakfast is good

Unlucky to arrive at Fiesta with no chance to get car close to hotel meaning a difficult walk with luggage. An email warning of this would help. Be warned, even at quiet times the trip to the hotel through the village would be demanding for larger vehicles. Room is very light in the morning and hotel is noisy (heard too much of the antics of the amorous couple next door at 4 am!). No aircon could be a problem in summer.

Great position high up in the town. The restaurant was excellent and I do recommend you try the Trevelez ham which is reputed to be the best in town. Great walking.

Great setting in the Sierra Nevada and about the best place to stay if you plan to walk up Mulhacen as a path goes from the back right up to the top. That's why we were there.

Room was a bit cold. Not a good town to stay for food and drink, the hotel has the monopoly on good food (it is a good restaurant) but it closes early and it's hard to get a drink or otherwise after eleven which for Spain is incredible. I would only come here if you intend to do the walking, there are much better villages in the Alpujarres and Sierra Nevada to stay.

The building and our room were excellent. We enjoyed the rural location. The Hotel has parking space but visitors need to be warned that acces by 'road' is extremely difficult - very narrow lanes with steep turns and gradients. I would advise anyone to park in the village and walk the route before trying to drive it. It is only possible with a small car. The nearby restaurant associated with the Hotel is outstanding. That alone makes Trevelez worth visiting.

Lack of detailed information on the exact location. The Booking.com page suggests that the building is #4 whereas it doesn't actually have a number.

The views; the service at breakfast; the breakfast.

The under floor heating worked perfectly in the morning, but in the evening it wasn't comfortably warm in the room.

The whole place is incredible. The view from the hotel was breathtaking. Room was very big and cosy. Took a bus to Trevelez and arrived in the dark. We had made a last minute request in the booking form and the hotel staff came waiting in the cold for us to show up. Despite the language differences, the hospitality they have shown us really made the trip totally worthwhile!

We enjoyed the large room and balcony towards the mountains with great views. The breakfast contained some local delicatesses and the nearby restaurant was excellent with a large menu and fantastic views and a cosy athmosphere.

Please ask for driving instructions to the hotel. Drive through the narrow streets is challenging but yet possible. Ideally they would provide a map. We got help from kind local people.

The views, the restaurant, the room.

The elevation to get to the hotel is too steep. To get to the hotel by car is a tricky thing.

The hotel staff was very friendly. The hotel restaurant was the best restaurant in town, yet not expensive at all.

All restaurants in town close between 16:00 and 20:00, but I guess that is typical in Spain. It was only possible to get to the hotel through some very narrow streets, making it hard to reach by car (even though we had rented a compact car...).
