Excellent view, comfy rooms, great location.
A little more verity to breakfast
The rooms here have been beautifully restored and are full of character as well as being spacious. The views are wonderful and it is very peaceful. Breakfast was a sheer joy. The village is a relaxing place to stroll.
It felt a bit strange that you were not sure if any staff lived on site overnight. I am not sure what would have happened if there was a problem.
We loved the views from our room, the fresh flowers, the comfortable bed and quirky/arty furniture and the friendly attentive staff. Breakfast on the patio was blissful.
Bit of a dull town
Breakfast offer is excellent - one of the best we experienced in our tour of Spain. Decor very tasteful and arty. Lovely restaurant with terrace & terrace on top floor for residents both with stunning views. Great selection of drinks in the mini-bar.
Excellent hotel. Food & wine superb. Location very central. Luis was a perfect host as were his staff
This hotel would not be suitable for the infirm as there are a lot of stairs from the hotel to the bedrooms
Cleanliness, friendliness of staff, decor of hotel, comfy beds, amazing views, peacefulness of whole hotel
Variable wifi, restaurant closed until June, filter coffee instead of machine coffee with no option of espresso. No aircon so not very suitable for summer months
Beautiful and comfortable room with stunning view. Lovely bathroom as well. Very friendly staff, superb terrace. Loved the place.
A wonderful place to stay with the most amazing view & beautiful sun terrrace. We were made to feel very welcome by Jesus & Louis who were very friendly & helpful. We really liked exploring the house with its beautiful restored interior - lots of personal touches & such attention to detail. Breakfast was a real pleasure sitting outside on the terrace. There was a very nice selection of local meats, cheeses, bread, yoghurt & fruit together with fresh orange juice & coffee. I would highly recommend a stay here & will certainly be telling all our friends about it too!
Beautiful room, beautiful view, wonderful host. Incredible bath/shower. Truly lovely accommodations overall.
I did not know the restaurant was closed for the winter at the time of booking. Was really looking forward to dining there.
The proprietors, jesus y Luis, were very accommodating with our change of dates, and checkin times, as we arrived at about 8:30pm. They were reachable via email, and responded promptly to our questions. The hotel was very clean and charming. Cleaning service was good.
We feel bad speaking negatively about the hotel, as Luis and Jesus seem like nice people...although they were never at the hotel..only Loli the local contact, made an appearance, letting us in on arrival... We found the value for money didn't live up to our expectations. The hotel was completely empty except for us, so to say this was "low" season doesn't begin to describe it..it was "NO" season, and compared to other hotel rates we have been paying on this winter trip through Spain, we felt 80 euros a night,( that didn't include breakfast, or parking), in an empty hotel in the dead of winter wasn't appropriate. We have been averaging 40euros everywhere else; some at worse hotels, sometimes at nicer ones...we wouldn't go back to laFructosa at that price. It IS a charming place, but there are several other options in the area for half the price or less. We travel a LOT, mostly in Europe, and are very familiar with what can be expected here. This hotel, whilst quaint and lovely, is overpriced, in our opinion.
Jesus and Luis were incredibly helpful hosts and took the time to give me lots of tips and advice about the area. My room was really spacious and comfortable and - best of all in December - warm!
The hotel was well situated in the centre of the town with restaurants, bars and supermarkets nearby. The room was comfortable, clean and had a jacuzzi bath. Pilar was most helpful when I arrived and even provided me with printed sheets with various walks as she knew I was visiting Gaucin for a bit of hill walking.
No negative comments to make.
Beautiful view; total relaxation once through the door. Good breakfast and dinner.
No proper parking close to. Dinner only some nights.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful spacious room with great view over the mountains. We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant of La Fructuosa and both were excellent. Thank you Louis !
Jose and Pilar are brilliant. Beautiful, cosy, romantic place. great food. stunning views.
nothing. although I would say if you are expecting a five star 300 room Hotel you'll be disappointed. this isn't what this place is about
This is a terrific place! Probably, the best hotel we stayed in so far. Beautifully designed rooms and great view!
No breakfast. The hotel is so nice that you actually don't want to leave it in the morning. Parking: you have to be creative.
Very nice setting, very friendly staff and excellent food!
The location was superb; the staff unbelievably charming and helpful. The rooms stunning...well ours was! The restaurant when open was a real treat with good food and a really great breakfast was provided when the hotel was full.
The fact that we had to wait for the hotel to fill (5 rooms only) in order for breakfast to be provided.
It has beautiful decor and very big and pretty rooms. The views are also amazing. It is also in town but sill quite.
There was no staff stationed at the hotel, if you wanted anything you had to telephone. Also the breakfast was only offered if 3 or 4 rooms request it? The staff were nice when they were there, but they need someone to ensure the guests are looked after.
Great breakfast, first class beds, excellent showers, lovely helpful staff (Pilar), tranquil
The fact that due to a bereavement, the restaurant had to close - although this was outside the hotel's control
We have now stayed here several times and always look forward to the next visit. The rooms are all individually furnished in lovely Spanish style. A little gem.
