Hotel La Garapa  

A lovely boutique hotel. Interesting, quirky decor with excellent facilities. Large room with views of the surrounding countrside. Large comfortable bed. Real fire in the dining room with easy chairs.

47 channels on the TV but not one in the English language, or any language other than Spanish. Restaurant menu a little expensive.

Great Hotel, a little away from the city but in a nice environment. Good breakfast. Easy to go to the city by bus. Good hotel if you come by car.

Hotel located on nice site, next to farmlands with orange trees, etc. It is very quiet and peaceful, no noice like in midst of city, but at same time it is pretty close to Granada. The rooms are nice decorated, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was outstanding with home made jams, good coffee, cheese and pastries! Everyone enjoyed the food! The staff was very helpful and even suggested to order the tickets to Alhambra, Nasrid palace in advance thru the hotel, otherwise we may not have an openings for next day. It was a good idea to leave a car and go by taxi or by bus to the Alhambra and Granada. If you have been in medieval town, you know that parking and driving is challenging.

There is not too much positive to say. We appreciated the hooks in the room and the little trash bucket on the breakfast table. The staff were nice.

Bed was very uncomfortable with a horrible plastic mattress cover which made us feel clammy and hot. We removed it. The Internet (wifi) was slow or non- existent. Dinner in the restaurant included reheated frozen French fries and potato puffs and reheated frozen vegetables. Breakfast buffet was limited.

Lovely big room with views to the far distance on both sides and spacious bathroom. This hotel is good as a base for exploring the Sierra Nevada mountains as well as the city of Granada which just a short drive away. There is ample free parking at the hotel. There is a pool with loungers in a small garden. The restaurant does simple food, well cooked and nicely presented, with a good selection of local wines.

Wi-fi was weak and unreliable but they do provide a free internet station. Otherwise, there is little to find fault with.

friendly staff, comfortable room with lovely terrace, quiet location near Granada

This is one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. Lovely quiet. location amidst the fruit trees, yet close to the great city of granadaand the sierra nevada. The room was cosy and was taken care of with eye for detail (candles, chocolates, thee and coffee facilities, minibar). We also had our own private garden with lemon trees, deckchairs and a terracetable and chairs. Great breakfast with lots of fresh fruit, good coffee and home made products. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to visit granada!

Relaxing after visiting the city

Lovely hotel, we were extremely pleased with everything. Beautiful rooms which were very comfortable indeed. Excellent location - peaceful surroundings, yet was an easy bus journey of about 20 minutes into the centre of Granada. Great swimming pool and sunbathing area for relaxing after a tiring day.

This Rural hotel is the right place to relax. An old farmhouse set in the middle of a cherry orchard. Big clean rooms and a fantastic swiming pool whithout clorine. The staff very friendly and helpfull. A special thank you to the chef, fantastic food and presentation. The leg of lamb you cooked especially for us was delicious. See you again - hasta la luego - Thank you!

Friendly staff were very considerate, and gave us a special room on request. Made us feel at home and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was excellent. We chose the hotel because a previous guest recommended staying out of town and bussing in. Spot on- it was easy as pie, and a lot less stressful than driving into town. Will stay there agsin.

No real complaints, but opportunities to improve ... No shower, just a spa-bath with no screen meant a shower was a challenge. Some hooks in the bathroom would be good. However, these were not showstoppers for us.

I liked everything about La Garapa. The service was good. The staff were very helpful and always with a smile on their faces. The food was very good at the restaurant and they even accepted me and my husband although it was past 630pm. I really appreciated it as we were very tired. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the tea was not replaced everyday. Coffee was abundant. All in all my stay was a very pleasant one and next time round I will definitely stay at La Garapa. Good luck!

ein Hotel das zur Besichtigung von Granada sehr geeignet ist. Sehr ruhig gelegen, das Stadtzentrum schnell mit dem Bus erreichbar und abends kann man im Hotel gut essen. Parkplatz kostenfrei vor dem Hotel.

Ruhige Lage in ländlichem Ambiente, kostenfreier Parkplatz, gut erreichbare Busverbindung nach Granada.

El desayuno empieza a las 8:15..un poco tarde sí esquias,aunque nos pusieron picnics

Le calme, le réveil le matin par les oiseaux, la gentillesse du personnel la proximité de Grenade tout en étant à la campagne .Un petit déjeuner bien préparé au coin du feu avec tout ce qu'il faut .Nous passons beaucoup de nuits dans les hôtels ,croyez nous ,celui ci est un excellent rapport qualité prix .a recommander

Tout....l'endroit, les chambres, les petit-déjeuners, les diners, la gentilesse et les conseils de la jeune fille à l'accueil, la proximité de Grenade (10 minutes en voiture)....

El hotel esta ubicado a las afueras de Granada, el personal es muy agradable, el entorno no es especialmente bonito, pero si buscas un hotel retirado y para poder descansar,esta genial. Son muy detallistas y las habitaciones estan muy bien.

Tenia todo lo que ibamos buscando, tranquilidad, descanso y silencio, tras unos dias subiendo a Sierra Nevada.

Lugar tranquilo, ideal para descansar, sin ruidos.Perfecto para convinar el esqui con visitas a la ciudad. Hemos repetido visita y lo haremos el proximo año.

Entorno tranquilo,rural casi,aunque esta dentro de una urbanizacion muy cercana a la ruta que conecta con Sierra Nevada y con el centro de Granada. Desayuno muy completo.Todo cuidado con pulcritud y detalle.Personal muy dispuesto a ayudarte y/o asesorarte.

Poca oferta gastronomica en los alrededores de hotel

Personal muy agradable y con recomendaciones buenas en cuanto a comida, etcetera. ¡Desayuno tremendo! Buena ubicación para conseguir el autobus para hacer turismo en Granada. Fácil encontrar con mucho espacio para parking. Habitación grande y comoda. Buen precio.

Heerlijk rustig gelegen, vriendelijke bediening, keurig ontbijt en heel plezierige kamer. De bushalte naar het centrum van Granada is op 5 minuten loopafstand en de bussen gaan frequent.

Für einen Besuch von Granada mit dem Auto sehr geignet; Abfahrt von der Autobahn 5 Minuten; gute Busverbindung ins Zentrum von Granada; es wurden auch Tickets für die Alhambra angeboten; bei Zimmerreservierung eventuell schon danach fragen; sehr ruhige Lage inmitten von Orangen- und Olivenbäumen;schöne und gut ausgestattete Zimmer;

Das Hotel ist ein guter Standort für einen Urlaub in der Region Granada, sowohl für Ausflüge in die Stadt (Bus 1-2x pro Stunde), zu Wanderungen in der Sierra Nevada, aber auch für Ausflüge ans Mittelmeer.

Das Frühstück war eher einseitig und nicht abwechslungsreich. Das ist allerdings bei 11 Zimmern und nur teilweiser Belegung nachzuvollziehen, auch wenn wir im gleichen Urlaub in qualitativ besseren Hotels in der gleichen Preislage übernachtet haben. Was fehlt, sind gemütliche Ecken, um auch mal schlechtere, regnerische Tage überbrücken zu können.
