La Santa María    

Uitstekend en uitgebreid ontbijt. Elke dag schoon beddengoed en schone kanddoeken, indien gewenst.. Prima locatie t.o.v. strand en centrum. Goed restaurant. Kamers met zeezicht uitstekend, kamers aan achterzijde goed op 3e en 4e verdieping. lager = slecht uitzicht.

Restaurant erg druk en gehaast personeel.

Altijd vriendelijke mensen en iedere ochtend een uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet.

Receptiepersoneel was erg vriendelijk. We hadden een mooie grote kamer met uitzicht op zee. Kamer werd keurig elke dag schoongemaakt en voorzien van schone handdoeken en beddengoed. Tevens kon je bij de receptie elke dag een badlaken halen voor mee naar het strand. De locatie is perfect. En het restaurant aan de boulevard heeft een zeer uitgebreide kaart en is zeer de moeite waard. Ik zal voor mijn volgende verblijft in Sitges zeker weer een kamer boeken in La Santa Maria.

Rustig, betaalbaar en op steenworp van het strand.

bij late aankomst krijg je nog eten. Het is fijn om te horen dat ze op je zullen wachten.

Is eigenlijk geen parking voor het hotel

The location

Room 306 is so tiny, that my friend and I (average size people) had to move sideways between the bed and the desk counter. It was impossible to move in the room for both of us at the same time.

The location is brilliant just opposite the beach and the promenade. We stayed in a huge room with lovely old tiles, classic Spanish furniture and sea view. The hotel has a great restaurant with lots of outside seating. On the day we left we had a very early start at 5:30 am but were given breakfast anyway by the night staff.

The staff were excellent. The food is some of the best I have ever tasted and I have been all over the world. The location is ideal to chill out for a few days.

It was just missing a lounge sitting area with a bar.

Cheap and cheerful, location great, clean, sea view rooms excellent, staff friendly.

The smell of bleach and fish

Verry friendly, great vieuw from the room, great breakfast and food in general. Nice place to stay.

The terrace need some painting and cleaning up.

Great buffet breakfast outside on the terrace by the sea.

We were there for the Carnaval de Sitges, early February, beautiful balcony to watch the events. The restaurant was closed for refurbishment for the duration of our stay but staff recommended nearby eateries and we had a fridge to store food and wine for later Carnaval events. The room was lovely, furnished in the 19c style of the house, antique wardrobe V. stylish, modern bathroom. Mainly good friendly staff.

1 receptionist was unhelpful about luggage to be transferred from car park at back of hotel: insisted we take it through the street, around the corner and up another street to the front door instead of through the hotel! However, we transferred luggage back through hotel to car without difficulty later, different staff.

A great proprietor run, friendly hotel, with attentive waiters in the extensive restaurant. Excellent restuarant, facing the promenade and the sea. Aeal Spanish feel to the place

Odd shaped room was a little cramped, view was meant to be of the mountains, all we saw was the car park.

Lack of basic toiletries - no shampoo/conditioner and only 1 mini tube of body wash for a 3 day stay.

It was all quite nice, exceptionally clean and quite spacious and comfortable.Didn't try the restaurant but it was full every night. The breakfast was hood - got to make my own bocadillos.

Sadly, the reception staff and older manageress (owner?), who is around constantly, were quite dismissive.No' hello' / 'good morning' / 'how was your stay at €100 per night' Felt undervalued as a customer so despite really liking the hotel I would probably book elsewhere next time. Also, reception had no town maps.Unhelpful.

Location:Having breakfast in the morning looking out to sea and watching the world go by.

Small points: # We were on the 1st floor to the rear above the kitchen which made the terrace unusable due to the constant smell of fish being cooked.This also meant we couldnt dry our beach towels easily as they would also smell. # All 39 TV channels were Spainish with no BBC World or CNN news. Overall we dd enjoy staying here so the above didnt impact on us too much.

Excellent location for the beaches, town and station. Excellent restaurant.

Some reception staff were not very friendly or welcoming, others were ok. Very little eye to eye contact from the staff when speaking to them-wish they would smile at least!.

The staff is very accommodating and helpful.

The hotel is showing signs of decay. Room furnishings and lobby furnishings are old and worn. AC in some rooms is inadequate on very warm days.

Seemed well placed for the beach/town break we had planned. On the beach front - room facing the sea as requested

Rude staff on front desk who did not offer any apology for the air con problem - in fact blamed me for not asking for another room at 3am! The air conditioning didn't work - I opened the window but the noise of shouting etc until 3am was too much to be able to sleep so I went downstairs to the night porter at 3am to ask for help He was quite amenable and gave me a small fan which was loud and didn't cool the room- I was awake for about four hours. When checking out the woman on the desk was surly and rude - saying I should have asked to change rooms - at 3am and in a full hotel I didn't think it would be appropriate

This was my fourth time staying at the La Santa Maria. If, and when, I return to Sitges this will be my first choice for a place to stay. Great staff, clean, good price, super location...Love this place!

The room was big and clean.

The staff from the restaurant was not very professional. Made us feel uncomfortable. I guess they were having a bad day or something.

After driving through Costa Brava, our main objective was to be close to the Barcelona airport for an early morning departure and this was an excellent choice. Great “beach” hotel ... across the street from the beach, with lots of restaurants and “touristy” shopping nearby … and they have hotel parking! Even though the parking was quite cramped and limited, it was a welcome amenity for us. Ate paella for lunch with what seemed like hundreds of locals (large families) at the hotel’s restaurant. It’s obviously a local favorite. Our room was immaculate and very spacious, with a separate alcove for children.

We didn’t notice there was about a 1/3 inch gap between the bottom of the glass shower door and the top of the tub. We had a flooded bathroom floor after the first person showered! Bad design or needs adjusting. Wi-Fi was available only in the lobby area. Would have been nice to have it in our room.

The personal touch the staff has as well as the cosy and relaxed atmosphere the restaurant-terrace creates right at the entrance to the hotel. The food served there is excellent and not too expensive. The room with balcony (305) is small but perfectly situated overlooking the busy promenade and beach. We would return to La Santa Maria, but would opt for a bigger room (301)
