Room, location and the staff all first class. Could not fault anything.Would highly recommend this hotel.
Faultless accomodation Staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was a bother
Marcus and all the staff, the decor, super bathrobes, everything we needed in our room. Breakfasts v good too.
The bed in Java was a bit difficult to manage, looked great but had trouble with the wood ledge around the edge! This was a very small issue though, I'd stay again.
The location is good, tucked away in the middle of the old town. The breakfast courtyard was lovely, we sat outside and they even provide blankets if it's chilly. The apartment was well equipped and the lounge was very comfortable. The shower was powerful. The staff were so friendly and helpful and gave us lots of good recommendations for eating & drinking. The Orange Square is just around the corner with lots of bars and restaurants and a good atmosphere.
The beds were not very comfortable. There is a short walk to the nearest carpark which was not a problem for us but might be inconvenient to some.
oved the loctaion, right in old square fab!!
Incredible attention to detail to achieve maximum guest comfort and enjoyment. Extra little touches everywhere to make this small intimate hotel top notch. Staff couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. Superb roof top sitting area not expected in this area. A real find if you want something other than standard lookalike large hotels.
Bit difficult to find by car as in central old town marbella and pedestrianised but car park very close by which was not suggested at least by booking. Com. Sat nav or printed ldirections essential.
I am a sucker for boutique hotels, and la villa marbella is on the top of that list. The idea of having a hotel divided into different traditional villas is really nice. The design is beautiful although the rooms were a bit small but cozy in general. the location is excellent as you are in the middle of the old city and the best attraction about this place is the staff; Marcus in particular was very helpful and friendly and even offered help beyond our stay in la villa marbella when we moved to Málaga. His knowledge of the nice activities in the area is essential in building up your schedule for your vacation. Thanks guys for the wonderful stay and thank you marcus for finding my lost wallet and passport :)
The willingness of the Proprietor and his staff to ensure we had everything we required.
Our visit was too short.
The location is perfect for a trip to Marbella. Situated in the heart of the old town convenient to restaurants and shops. The manager and staff are outstanding with their help with reservations and trip planning. Their help made for a perfect trip to the Costa del Sol. We would not hesitate to stay there again.
Location and the Staff
Small room size and value for money
Service. I had two challenges while staying here. The owner and staff rapidly came to my aid even at great inconvenience and expense to themselves. I was the customer from hell they the staff from heaven. The staff will forever be my hero.
We have stayed at Villa Marbella several times Always pleasant Marcus and his staff takes care of you
The staff were helpful and made you feel at home. The idea of separate buildings is unique and something special. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the location of the hotel in the old town is wonderful.
The ground floor rooms are dark but this is because the hotel is located in the old town with narrow streets.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Interesting setting in the middle of a residential area - you're almost staying with the locals Staff very helpful and multilingual
Poor facilities Not much privacy Small room size despite taking one of their best rooms Too pricey for what it offers
Bed was comfortable, slept better than at home! Beautiful property, quiet location. We enjoyed a gorgeous meal in Marbella Old Town and finished it off with a gloriously peaceful night in our stunning room. Staff so helpful and friendly. Extremely clean.
Having to leave the next day and not having extended our stay :(
When we first arrived to our room there were ants crawling all over the bed that had been attracted to the chocolates they left out for us as a welcome gift. This wasn't a great initial impression, but the staff immediately had the room cleaned again, left us a huge box of chocolates (this time wrapped up in plastic), and gave us a free upgrade to a larger room on our last night. The staff really was very proactive and responsive and they deserve high marks for that. The location is also very cool. The hotel is broken up among several buildings in the "casco antiguo". This gives you a much more authentic feel compared to staying at some huge concrete high rise on the beach.
The only issue with being in the old quarter is that it can be a bit noisy at night and our windows faced directly out to the street. This issue was mostly solved by closing all the windows and relying on the air conditioning for fresh air.
Our second visit and again they didn't disappoint. The customer really is king, and you really feel special from the greeting to departure
This is a great, unique hotel in a beautiful part of Marbella. Marcos and his lovely team are incredibly hospitable and kind and we could not have wished for more attentive service. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Try it! You'll love it!
nothing to dislike
The service was exceptional. Staff are fluent in several languages and are eager to make outing suggestions and provide explicit directions. Service was the best we experienced in Spain, and we had very good service overall.
Rooms can be on the smallish side.
Staff, location, comfort, novelty of type of accommodation, breakfast by the pool.
Everything was lovely. Perhaps a bit expensive at€179 for double room with breakfast for 1 night, but maybe this is normal for old town Marbella at the end of August?
Lovely weekend break and the character of the house made it very special
We were very pleased with choosing Villa Marbella for a 2 night stay in the old town. Upon arrival, we were advised on where to go and what to do in the area, which proved to be helpful on making the most of our trip. The old town is charming, with everything within a stone's throw from the hotel. Great restaurants are abundant, with local cuisine and very reasonable prices, compared to the over-rated Puerto Banús nearby. If you want a few days off, with a romantic setting and some decent nightlife, just staying at this hotel is very much worth it. I recommend picking the Andaman room where we stayed, since it is located in a newly refurbished building.
Since the old town is located in a car free area, the hotel doesn't have parking. You will have to carry luggage to the hotel by yourself, which after a long trip and under hot weather (near 36ºC when we arrived!) can be a pain. However, it is worth the effort! Park your car in the Avenida Mercado (marketplace), which is 7 Euros a day (cheap compared to 18 Euros per day in central Granada). Breakfast is chosen upon arrival, where you are given a form to fill with what you would like to eat. We enjoyed everything, however I would had preferred a buffet breakfast to have more variety.
Location was perfect so close The room was amazing and everything you needed was there. The staff were so friendly and helpful, arranging transport early in the morning and as we were leaving 5.00 a.m. they arranged for someone to prepare us an early breakfast of toasted sandwiches a bowl of mixed fruit, coffee and orange juice. Will definitely be back next year and for a longer stay.
