Lagarto Backpackers

The atmosphere is incredible, I felt to be in my home. The staff was so friendly and ready to answer to your needs. Relaxing ambient, beautifull garden, good rooms and big kitchen....on of the best hostel I visited

The staff is very nice and helpful.

The hostel is located far away from all restaurants and bars (at least 2,5 km), so it is almost imposible to visit one of them and drink wine if you want to get back to the hostel. Also, the conditions were poorer than we expected.

Well, a typical backpacker's hostel, with staff really helpful and nice. Even a little outdoor swimming-pool and barbecue-area. Very relaxed.

The owners and the other people working there are very friendly, helpful and fun.

There aren't enough bathrooms, and the place could be a bit cleaner.

Great place to stay, a little difficult to find but worth finding. Staff very helpful and friendly, lovely garden, good facilities and breakfast. Evening meal also available. Relaxing, car useful but not essential. Would recommend it as place to stay. :)

The whole atmosphere of the place makes you really feel like home - its no bullshit what people says here. The owners and staff do their best to make your trip the most pleasant ever, and they do it so naturally its impressive. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the living room, terrace and "party terrace" invites you to get in contact with everyone around. It's a very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. There are also facilities like a mini market inside the hostel where you can buy stuff you may need late at night, a bar, a kitchen very well equiped, cable tv and radio you can use, a small but nice library, parking spots, swimming pool that never closes. Ever. Well, you can be sure that this is an absolute great choice for your stay in one of the best areas in Tenerife.

The staff are supernice. We feel like we were at home instead of a hotel. The kitchen has everything you need. We found it helpful after a full day of touring.

The location is out of the usual tourist zone. But it is not trouble at all with a rental car. And this hotel has a beautiful front yard with enough parking spaces.

Friendly atmosphere

Super friendly/knowledgable staff willing to work with you to make your stay more enjoyable. Dope location to relax- 180degrees from playa americanas! Good surf 10 minutes by car to the north and 10 to the south.

When we first arrived at the Lagarto, which is located just a few hundred meters from the sea, at the foot of the mountains and right between a series of banana plantations, I thought: how the heck did I end up here? My girlfriend and I found a charming facility with a beautiful garden sparked with a series of trees, cactuses and colorful plants right in the middle of this surreal surrounding. And they even have a pool, a huge hammock and a Drago tree there! A young, new, modern and overall just wonderful hostel, decorated and maintained with lots of love, passion and care. The staff welcomed us warmly (not only in Spanish, as their members speak a variety of other languages such as Italian, English and German) and was eager to make us feel at home -and they fully succeeded. Even after we accidentally destroyed a light bulb in our room -which one of the two owners himself replaced right the next day- they were still happy to share "free hugs" (like stated on a colorful paper on the Lagarto's kitchen wall). We felt very much at home right from the first minute and even got valuable inside information on the whole of Tenerife for our ongoing travels. A hostel with the open minded and laid back spirit a great hostel needs and a place to make friends (and to have drinks and great conversations with the owners at night). :)

Waouw, what a great vacations because of this place! We were supposed to stay only a couple of days in this hotel and finally we stayed almost a week… The hotel is clean & very cheap… It has a beautiful garden and a nice swimming pool…The whole personnel was multilingual, so friendly (helping you all the time) and giving you a lot of good tips about the area!!! The room was lovely with nice colour and the breakfast was good… As the location is away from tourist centers, we would recommend to rent a car… Life cost has nothing to do with the other European countries: coffee: 0,80 €, Beer 33 cl in a pub = 1€, gasoline= less than 1€/l, car rent: 15€/d… Beautiful cities like La Laguna (+/- 20 minutes from the hotel)… Nice beaches & restaurants (cheap too)… Very nice mountains to hike… People very nice… We really had a fantastic trip! One more time thank you to the whole Lagarto Staff!!! Mimi & B.

El lugar es tranquilo y acogedor, muy cerca de la playa. Estaba muy limpio y la gente que lo lleva es muy simpatica. UN SITIO MUY RECOMENDABLE!!

De n'avoir pas pu rester plus longtemps.....

Praticamente tutto. Lo staff... preparatissimo. Il luogo... rilassante e allo stesso tempo ricco di stimoli. Il rapporto qualità/prezzo secondo me è incredibile.

Super séjour au Lagarto. En tant que voyageur solitaire (sac à dos), je suis tombé sur un acceuil inoubliable. Le personnel de l'hotel était aux toujours disponible et j'ai passé une très agréable soirée (barbecue avec les autres voyageurs). Dommage que je n'étais que de passage une nuit. J'y serai resté volontier quelques jours en plus pour profiter des activités (à bas prix) proposées par le Lagarto (surf, hiking, plongée). Rapport qualité/prix excellent!

Атмосфера. Банановые плантации вокруг, скалистый пляж и природа, природа, природа. Гамак во дворе...И кот с голубыми глазами. Очень хорошее, спокойное место для молодежи. Парам с высоким достатком и большими ожиданиями не подойдет))) Там все просто и без пафоса. Хочешь - спи в палатке во дворе, хочешь - на одной из кроватей в многоместном номере, есть и отдельные одно - и двуместные номера. Во дворе бассейн и кресла-подушки...Завтракать нужно именно там, купаясь в лучах восходящего солнца!!:-) Кухня просторная, холодильник большой, никто твою еду не трогает, для общей еды - есть специальная полка. Самые лучшие впечатления!!!!

Немного далековато от города, на общественном транспорте добраться будет проблематично, но на авто - все очень даже удобно.

El sitio es fantástico y el personal muy atento y cercano. éSta limpio y tiene un gran jardín

Es inaccesible si no es en taxi (20 euros desde aeropuerto) o vehículo privado. Está un poco perdido de la mano de Dios. Eso si si lo que buscas es tranquilidad y paz este es el sitio perfecto.

No me ha gustado me ha ENCATADO!!!! Las personas ahí son de las que no se suele encontrar tan fácil (amigos, compañeros, aventureros) Volvere!!! XDDD

Enorm vriendelijk personeel met veel kennis van de omgeving, kunnen goed helpen met het plannen van een trip. 's Avonds mee-eten kan ik aanraden, is erg gezellig, makkelijk en ook nog voor een goede prijs. Voor mij een tophostel; relaxete sfeer, klein en fijn.
