Hotel, was nice, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would come again.
- tidy and big room - perfect location - metro station across the street - stuff super - great time in Barcelona :)
The room-very small, very cold and very noisy!
good location near everything, very clean and tidy hotel
Good location, ok facilities for a 4 star hotel.
We have a traumatic experience staying at this hotel! The lax hotel security and incompetent management staff has resulted in many complications and trips to the police station. Due to restrict review rules I will not go into details of our ordeal, however I have lost all faith in this hotel's management and handling of incidents. In addition to trying all methods to shirk responsibility for guest's items, they even charge 25EUR deposit for using the room safe. DO NOT TRUST THIS HOTEL'S MANAGEMENT. Facilities are a bit dated, and the toilet in both of our rooms are cramped behind a pillar which a normal person will barely fit in.
Great hotel! Free wifi, convenient to most things in Barcelona, clean and comfortable rooms.
Free wifi was not all that great, but seriously a first world problem.
The mini bar, super borring.
Breakfast good and quiet varied; helpful staff
Bedroom was too small for a couple: not a chair, neider an hager just a small wardrobe to put clothes. Lighting system was not functioning so good: you couldn't switch on just the "reading light" because all lights were on.
-Location was very good. Just a minute walking from where free city tours start. Many restaurants nearby and grocery shops as well if you prefer. -They have everything you need like wifi, luggage locker. -Room is equipped with everything needed.
-Hotel is a bit outdated or less taken care in some aspects. -Hotel wifi works, but with many problems (works for basic purposes). -Rooms are outdated and bathroom was very badly taken care of. Shower head broken, curtain very very dirty, as well as windows (did not open), etc. - I guess price/worth ratio is ok, but is definitely not a 4 star hotel.
Most comfortable beds I've slept in while in Europe. We switched rooms on our 3rd night and the room we were switched to was awesome! It was 507. Lots of windows with a great view. Good amount of space. Bathroom was nice and spacious. The pictures on Booking.com were taken from room 507 I believe. The best thing about this hotel is it's location. Conveniently located near everything you would want to see. The Ramblas is a 5 min walk. The metro is a 2 min walk. The promenade is a 10 min walk.
Our first 2 nights at the hotel, we were in room 603 on the top floor (6th floor) and it is HORRIBLE. It is very outdated. Has a skylight that is very annoying. The room was TINY. And it was very hot! Even in early January! If you left the skylight open to let in some air, you could hear all the street noise and not sleep at all. None of the rooms in the hotel have temperature control, the whole hotel is run with a central temperature control. This room was so uncomfortable that we had to switch rooms on our last night there. The internet throughout the hotel is very spotty and doesn't work 60% of the time. The older gentleman with the glasses who works at the front desk isn't exactly rude but isn't helpful at all either. I probably would not stay here again.
Poor TV reception-need more English channels
Very clean, tasty breakfast, perfect location, excellent staff. I really recommend this hotel.
Proximity to public transportation was excellent. Just a few steps away from Jaume1 subway which conveniently connected to all other subway lines. Also the connecting point for Gothic are and Born. Plenty of places to eat nearby..better choices a few subway stops away. Banks and ATM closeby; small convenience stores for water or or juice etc.
For the price there is nothing to complain..
Good location, even though it was near road, there's not much noise.
One of my pillows had a giant stain upon our arrival. You have to go and ask reception to give you access to wifi
The beds , cleanless , no cold water in bath room. Breakfast was realy poor.
Staff was helpful and nice, easy to walk right out the door and be close to all of wonderful Barcelona.
the cleanliness of the hotel
although there was a fair selection for breakfast it was boring the same every day and the quality was not what you would expect from a 4*hotel. you had free use of computers but they were very slow
Location was marvellous Cleanliness was second to none Hotel felt safe Reception staff were efficient and helpful
People in the room opposite had loud voices and they were so loud I thought they were in the corridor outside our room, so looked out to quieten them down but they were inside their own room, so walls must have been thin! Breakfast in this kind of hotel is always overpriced. For 6 euros they were offering cup of coffee and a bread roll, just down the road we had a marvellous breakfast of organic eggs, bacon, home-made bread, orange juice and a piping hot cup of coffee for 6 euros 50,no comparison! Hot water ran very slowly and was lukewarm during the day.
Excellent location, staf, breakfast
Staff, facilities, cleanliness, location, value of money, breakfast were very good
It was very loudly at night because the window is old.
friendly staff.location. nice sized rooms.
asked for a room with good wifi. it was lousy. might as well of left my laptop at home. found the room very cold. mentioned it to staff. they said nothing could be done as heating had nt been turned on yet. suprising coz it was only 3 degrees at night.
Staff is polite and helpful Metro station is just a few steps form the hotel Easy to reach BCN's best spots
Walking up the stairs at the entrance might not be easy with heavy luggage
Excellent location, the staff is very nice and speaks good english. The rooms are clean.
Room too small. Don't renew products on bathroom.
The staff was very nice, heloful and very friendky. We really felt that we werre at home
Carryinh heavy luggage on entry stairs
Location and stuff.
No bar where you can have a drink during the day/night (only breakfast). Floor in the room not so clean. Poor breakfast (e.g. no vegetables at all).
