Location Price Cleanliness Staff Looks
A little noisey
Location - walk out the front door and everything is right there.
Our room faced La Rambla with a balcony but the noise all night long made it difficult sleep.
Location and staff
Bed was top hard
Prime location. Helpful staff. Good wifi. Close to everything.
Terrible smell coming from bathroom. Was told it was sea smells that happen all over Barcelona. I think that is true as I smelt a similar odour in the streets. The bathrooms need to be updated badly.
Perfect location in the tourist area near Gaudi work and shopping areas. Very friendly staff. Lots of restaurants near by.
Loud street noise at all hours. We even had a room facing the alley.
The front disk very very helpful and nic person.
location cleanliness helpful staff facilities
Everything , cleanliness , location , friendliness
Great location Friendly staff Balcony room (facing La Rambla) was very quiet
Wi-Fi was a bit slow at times
This hotel is located in the heart of Barcelona. Very close to the statute of Columbus and to the port ( from where you can also take the tourist bus ) It is also close to the La Boqueria market which made lunch time very easy for us The staff speaks English and are friendly. The lounge room is very comfy and there is a locket to leave your bags there in case you have to check in later than your arrival time. Good hotel for families and older people. The rooms where cleaned every day
Great location.Every night is like a New Year Eve's night. Lots of people around. La Rambla center of activity. Many wonderful tapas places.
It is very noisy unless you ask for a room in the back of the hotel. Tiny lockers not big enough a suitcase.
Day no 1,waited too long for scrambled eggs, suggest better service,I wa sent the only one.
Better service at breakfast.
Air conditioning... Or lack of!
Free upgrade to room with a balcony very quiet despite street view
noisy air con split beds
No outlets fir 110
Our first trip to Barcelona and we really experience the vibe of this great city. Our window above La Rambla tuned us in to a city that never sleeps. A few steps from the hotel and we were on the Gothic area of the city; a couple of minutes from the modern port precinct.
A quibble really - if you don't like air-conditioning and like to sleep with a window open you might find it hard to sleep. La Rambla is busy and noisy all day and night - but that's also part of its charm.
Amazing location right in the centre of all the best spots. Walking distance to the beach and all the good shopping spots. Loads of restaurants and right on La Ramblas.
No minibar. Poor air conditioning. No tea and coffee/kettle. We were given the wheelchair access room so didn't have a proper shower.
Nice location in la rambla
Small rooms and baths
+ Perfect location; + Friendly staff; + Fairly good breakfast.
- The bathroom was too small and without proper waterproof manner around the douche, so the bathroom was often flooded after I took a shower.
Location is convenient - near the port end of La Ramblas. Has an elevator! Nice sized, clean rooms. Helpful staff.
Very little natural light - only two small windows. No screens. Had to pay to print documents from the internet. Location may be too busy for some.
Location great ,lovely room with balcony looking onto la rambler very clean and good staff
A little noisy until about 4am but not a problem
Location Comfy bed and clean rooms
Slightly expensive but for the location it was great
Location is on La Rambla and our room was set further back from the front so we did not hear any street noise.
Service of staff was not good! There is an option when checking in to upgrade if you pay a little extra. We had a normal double room and got told the only room available was the suite which was expensive. There were more customers that arrived staying exact same dates as us and got upgraded from a superior room to a superior room with balcony. Don't know why we never got offered the superior room with balcony? Anyway, we never said anything about that. But... we did ask if those people are upgrading to the balcony room can we please upgrade to the room they aren't having anymore. Then.. rudely.. the staff member said 'don't tell me how to do my job, I know how to do my job'. We were gobsmacked! After such a long journey to get to Barcelona and being unwell, the last thing we wanted was a rude welcome. Later on we did get an apology and the reason for being rude to us was because they had a busy morning? We did get a free upgrade and didn't have to pay to make up for it. We appreciate they tried their best to make up for it but I hope they learn from this and never treat any of their customers this way.
