If you are looking for somewhere to stay which is traditional, comfortable and where there is a warm and friendly welcome then look no further. This was our second time at this Hostal and we had a lovely stay.Situated in a quiet part of Malaga and very close to the beach, cafes and restuarants. Our room just off the patio was very comfortable - even romantic. The excellent breakfast was served on the patio each day and the optional dinner was excellent too with good home cooked food.
So calm and relaxing. I wish we had stayed longer. Super hosts.
The owners, the location, the building itself and the peaceful terrace.
good location friendly owners
no staff - i think the owners need someone on site rather than put a sign saying 'call us' breakfast not until 9am - no good for people on business no aircon just a very noisy fan that i couldn't sleep through.
very friendly and helpful owners. Very good food & beverages. Whenever visiting Malaga, we will book here again.
Las Acacias is located in a very pleasant part of Malaga, five minutes walk from the coast. The hostel is pleasantly quirky. We very much enjoyed the breakfasts, healthy with plenty of fresh fruit.
Our bathroom was badly in need of some maintenance.
Owners were very friendly and helpful and spent time advising us on restaurants and places to go. It is close to the beach and breakfast was delicious.
only negative and this is personal is that the beds are extremely hard which for me made it uncomfortable, for others this may be a plus.
court yard garden, very good breakfast, quirky rooms.
Lovely breakfast with great coffee, bright comfortable bedroom, friendly and helpful proprietors with good local knowledge, close to beach and restaurants, also beside busstops for city centre and other destinations.
First room option not good but this was quickly changed upon request
Very helpful and nice owners. The lady speaks very good English, provided us with a lot of interesting information about Malaga and Spain. The hostal is located very near to the beach with many nice fish restaurants just a few meters away. Very easy transport connection to the centre of Malaga. Spacious room and bathroom. And the best breakfast we had in Spain :)
Breakfast was really good.
The owners of the hotel were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble and they were full of local information on great places to eat, drink and visit. The inclusive breakfast was a great start to the day and the beach is right on the doorstep
Having to leave at the end of the holiday !!
very good location, friendly staff, a place worth the money
some street noise, but it is not a big problem.
First of all : we noticed that all references of Las Acacias are displayed : those of the former owners, as well of those of the actual, who run this beautiful place now for 1,5 years. We mention this to let futur guests know that, concerning the owners and the renewings, only the references since 2012 refer to Paqui and Xals. We stayed here from Christmas eve till Sylvester 2013. Paqui and Xals are very warm hearted people who make you feel like at home instantly. They run this place all by themselves, without staff. And they do it with heart and soul, and perfect. We are a couple who intentionaly don't choose for a 5* hotel, but prefer a small and authentic 'home' with personal approach and away from big crowds. And this place scored a 10+ for us! It's situated only 100m from the beach, in a nice and quiet street, with the bus stop only 20m away. Easy and quick connection from the airport, taking the train or bus A, and then bus 3 or 11. Bus 11 brings you to the city centre, and bus 3 goes all the way to the big bus station. We stayed for 7 nights, and Paqui lent us her bus card. After having charged it (in a tobacco shop) for 20 trips, which costs only € 16,5 we could use the bus the whole week. Using the bus card is travelling half price. Between 6am and 11pm the busses pass very frequently : every 10 minutes. During the night there is still bus N1. At our booking we asked for a double room in the back, and we got room 4. The room and bathroom are small but comfortable and clean. Breakfast, served by Xals, is perfect (sandwiches, Spanish tomatoe toast, ham, cheese, chorizo, fresh orange juice, great coffee, fresh fruits, yoghurt), and if you'd like to have (3 courses) dinner, we can recommend Paqui as a good chef :-) We always wake up very early (about 6am) and we are coffee addicts, but the hosts invited us to use the coffee machine or the orange juice maker whenever we needed. Great bonus, and included in the breakfast!
Simple but very pleasant place to stay on the outskirts of East Malaga.Very friendly welcome and a quiet location away from a main road.Only a very short stroll to the beach area where,in the evenings , there were very many good tapas bars to choose from.Breakfast was imaginative and the room was cosy.Thoroughly recommended.
Nice, helpful and caring staff, reasonable price, location next to the sea.
the cost, quality of services, the location, affability and attentiveness of the hostess - everything is excellent
The simplicity and charm of the place, and the friendliness of the hosts, and the lovely breakfasts.
Unfortunately the next-door-neighbours were very noisy at times until very late, sometimes 1am.
The toilet being actually IN the bedroom. Choice and amount of breakfast. Quality of room. Requesting a twin and getting a double. Not having a tv when booking said there would be one. Courtyard for breakfast was very dark and gloomy.
Lovely hotel run by a really nice couple rooms are clean and tidy there is a lovely courtyard where we had a fantastic breakfast would recommend it and would stay again
Convenient for beach,friendly staff.
They had overbooked so put us in studio flat but bed was put me up and very uncomfortable.we did not get any breakfast as we had to leave at 0730.no one offered a take away breakfast.
It's a lovely family-run hostel located 5 walking minutes from the beach and within a 15 minutes bus ride to Malaga city centre. The complimentary breakfast served by the owners is excellent! It includes bread and marmelade, bruschetta with tomatoes, jamon serrano, chorizo, fruits, yogurt, coffee and fresh juice. Everything is served directly to your table by the owners ( in a nice patio). The good thing is also that the breakfast is served until 12 o'clock, and not until 10 as in most hotels. It's really convenient during holidays! There is a nice promenade with plenty of local seafood restaurants, don't miss it! I liked the area even more than the centre of Malaga, as there are almost no tourists ( the restaurants are full of local people), the food is better and the prices are lower! In general, I will definetely recommend Hostal Acacias, it's a good value for money.
The only thing is that the shower in our room was too small.
A few minutes away from the beach and well connected to the city center. Very friendly staff and yummy breakfast with fresh local ham, cheese and fruit.
