VERY GOOD. The owner was very kindly. EXCELLENT HOTEL.
very helpful receptionist good location
wifi was patchy
Excellent location, within easy walking distance of public secure parking, shops, bars city centre. Very easy to get to the city centre. Very easy to find if you are going in by car. Very helpful staff.
Everything is great.
The location is excellent, very centralised, you can reach everywhere easily. The staff is very kind and helpful. There is no breakfast but you can find many places around the hotel to have breakfast.
The best thing about this hotel was the man that owns/runs it. He took so much time and care in giving us as much information about the hotel and Grenada as possible, even giving us a map marked with all the best places. He was truly great. Location is also fantastic, and the room was big, comfortable and quiet, with a lovely en suite. Can't recommend highly enough. Great value for money too.
Location Helpful staff
Jose and his son were incredibly helpful, friendly and accomodating!!
Cortes Ingles opposite. Close to main shopping area. Lots of excellent bars, cafes and restaurants around.
Pretty hotel, seems familyrun, nice people, very beautifull room. We stayed twice as long as intended. Granada is wonderfull in november.
In a bit noisy shopping area, few minutes walk from historic centre. not much of a few from the window
The Staff & Rooms
Quite a bit of traffic noise
The hotel is situated in a good location. Price is very reasonable. Señor Lopez, who has checked us in, is very fluent in English and is very helpful in showing us places of interest on the map.
The shower in the bathroom is a bit complicated to operate. It took me some time to figure out how to control the temperature. But other than that, I recommend the hotel.
We liked very much the owner (who gave us great guidance regarding eating places) and his family, including a gorgeous dog smiling like a human. They have a charming patio we admired from the elevator because it was - unfortunately - under construction. Excellent location!
Can't remember anything unpleasant.
The old man at the reception was very friendly. The location was perfect.
No English TV channels - that's all I can think of to improve a very enjoyable stay.
Clean, big and comfortable rooms.
Little bit street noise in the room
We only spent 2 nights in Granada at Las Almenas (or rather 1.5 nights, arriving at 3.00 a.m.), so we didn't see too much of the hotel, though we were both impressed and charmed by the owner and his wife and their untiring willingness to smile and help you. Actually, the owner (shame, but I didn't find out his name) not only runs the hotel, but also is perhaps a better guide to the city and its main turist jewel - La Alhambra - than the official turist information authorities - you can absolutely rely on his advice, and since the hotel doesn't have a restaurant of its own, it includes the choice of eating places around the hotel. In any case, I am grateful to him for his directions. Pity they don't have breakfast, but if they did, it might be as charming as the owners, and then people might just refuse to leave the hotel turning it into a kind of "Hotel California".
I appreciate the need for proper procedures etc., but maybe the younger generation of the hotel owners should realise that travellers arriving to the hotel at 3.00 a.m. on a rainy and pretty cold night (I hope we were an unfortunate exception in that respect) could be allowed to postpone the meticulous procedure of filling in the visitor cards until a more welcome hour later in the morning. 10 minutes after a long journey on such a night seems a long time, which, I am sure, the older gentleman would have fully realized. Personally, I liked the pitbull the younger gentleman had with him to while away the idle hours (I have a boxer very much like that dog), but some people might find such a porter a bit disconcerting.
Location was pretty convenient for downtown Granada. Room was nicely appointed. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
The downtown location meant that the room was noisy, and there was not good ventilation in the room. No breakfast provided. Parking was ok, but located a few blocks away, and a little expensive.
Everything was wonderful, from the quality of the fittings to the wondeful staff. If you are planning a trip to Granada and want value for money with a great location, it simply can not be beaten.
The gentleman at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful. His tips for the city were spot on. The room did overlook the street but once you close all the curtains the sounds were not that noticeable. Would stay at this location again!!
Location and the owner who gave excellent insight knowledge of local attractions.
Car parking not at location.
