I only have two complaints: the first one is there was a foul smell whenever we got to our room, but it must not have been that strong because we got used to it and forgot about it once we were in the room for a few minutes. The second complaint was the A.C. We kept waking up sweating throughout the night because the AC just didn't cool down the room. It would feel ok for a while, but once it reaches the temperature it is supposed to it shuts down and it gets really hot before it starts up again. We come in to the reception and they did look at it with lots of willingness but still. We were hot every night we stayed there.
The location of the hotel is really good, just minutes away from the metro and the neighborhood is good. You only see locals around, but they have lots of little restaurants and cafes close by. They also have a pharmacy around the corner. It is outside of barcelona city center and even further than Sagrada Familia, but being close to the metro from where you can really go anywhere in the city, it doesn't matter how far it is from the city center. All the receptionists were really friendly. We met 4 of them while staying 5 nights, and they were all really nice and helped us with directions. The breakfast was also good, we had breakfast there everyday. They don't change anything from one day to the other, but it was fine for us as it had everything we like in a breakfast (croissant, cheese, turkey slices, juice, coffee, jam). They also had boiled egg, different kinds of bread, a pastry with raisins, a orange cake that was amazing, potato tortilla (Spanish omelette) and tea, I may be forgetting few things. Unfortunately we didn't get his name, but the shorter guy in the breakfast area was really friendly and catered to us really nicely. The rooms are small but are ok. We had a room in the street side and had no problems with noise as long as the window was closed. I had requested a crib in the room, and although I did not receive a response the crib was available to us in the room.
