Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Location of the room near sights, restaurants, etc individual styling of the rooms comfortable bed plenty of hot water and powerful shower separate table and chairs and sofa separate kitchenette with microwave - can rent cookware for extra fee very light and bright room opening French doors very clean very good breakfast served until 12 rumbling noise (bin moving?) in the small hours but was short lived would have preferred mirror near window in bedroom for make up would have liked full length mirror inside wardrobe door bedside lights did not appear to work independently misunderstanding over price of flamenco at local club (35E price quoted by staff did not include tax and was nearer 50E at club)

- The Staff and service are amazing: very helpful and nice staff. Javi, from the front desk, took the extra mile to provide us with the best assistance he could. - The location couldn't be better: strategically situated between Sol and Gran Via but without the noise - The breakfast is perfect. Varied in choices to suit everyone's taste even people with a special regime of eating

The location is fantastic. The hotel itself is really nice and modern. Breakfast is great, it is the same things everyday but it suited us perfectly. The staff were really friendly, but could be a bit changeable. We paid the 10 euro charge for the kitchen utensils (which was totally worth it) and tried to use the combi-microwave on the oven setting. It was a disaster. The food was burned within seconds and we had a harried staff member at the door. Rather than help the situation and apologise for the appliance being broken he just left us to deal with it and acted as if it were our fault. Nothing else was said on the matter.

Large spacious room, central location. English speaking channels on the tv. Great little bar next door, we figured we cant beat the noise from the bar so we might as well join them! The hotel takes the extra 'effort' to look like they are on the side of their guests, by leaving notes in the room from the manager giving the opportunity to provide feedback, before we leave a bad review on booking.com. It just so happened that we had an incident where we had requested breakfast with our room rate, but on the last morning we had to leave Madrid very early, missing breakfast. So we asked reception the night we found out what time we were leaving if they could deduct 2 breakfasts from our bill when we paid for the hotel on check out, but we were told its not possible because we made our booking through booking.com. Regardless where we made the booking, we are still guests at the hotel, and were left feeling a little disappointed. So we emailed the manager, as the letter asked but we got a lousy reply, saying that she is trying to figure out who gave us that information. Its been paid for, so obviously its not an issue she needs to resolve. Lucky we arent aggressive people, because I know people who would not accept this and would have demanded a refund on check out.

Location was perfect to visit and live the nightlife in Madrid without using any car service, or even metro. Very good also the breakfast Well, it wants to be a sort of friendly design hotel, but you can understand it's not. Privacy is quite not considered, if you think you can listen whatever your neighbours can do...

We were most impressed with the staff they who were extremely efficient and friendly. Our first night was spoiled because of the noise from an adjoining building works. We asked if we could move rooms and the staff were so helpful they showed us four available rooms and we were able to select anyone we preferred. The breakfast was excellent value for money and made sure you started the day well. The location is extremely handy for almost all of the sights of Madrid. Would definitely go back to this hotel Our only complaint was on arriving we were asked did we want a suite in preference to the room we had booked. It was an extra charge of 10e a night and we just felt we were been hustled slightly. As per comment above the suite did not work out and we ended up in a room we had originally booked

Helpful staff. bathroom very narrow and very little space at end of the bed. there was a kitchen that you could get the key to at reception located next to the bathroom. I am not sure if the space would be better served being used as extra room for bathroom and room in general.

It's location The Hotel policy of seasonal air conditioning. The season we visited was obviously winter as the air con units only blew hot even with just the fan selected. The only option is to sleep with the windows open which is not really an option as the Hotel is surrounded by a road and rest's. So during our stay we had four restless nights. Make sure if you like air in the room you visit in the right season when there is the possibility of breathing fresh air and being able to sleep.. Advertised with kitchen but you had to have it unlocked to use and then pay if you wanted more than a couple of cups. We were able to get two cups and a saucepan to boil water without charge.

Me and my son (age 12) was on a "football trip" to Madrid, so I booked a "Duplex delux" room (105) without breakfast -Great location -Good size of the room (like a studio appartment with bed area overlooking the living area) -Free wifi -A bit noisy Friday and Saturday, but what can you expect? -The stair to the bed area was a bit steep, not a problem for us but for elderly or disabled people that could be a challenge. -Not suitable for business people as breakfast starts at 0800

Was a perfect stay, really gorgeus staff and pretty well located just a few blocks from Sol. Breakfast is cheap compared with other hotels and has a big variety. Every room has a kitchen that you can use if needed. I'd definitely recommed it. A little humidity inside the room (nothing to worry about).

The rooms were lovely & funky, clean and quiet. The staff were very friendly and can speak English (I always think it's nice to ask if they can in Spanish). I picked a package that included buffet breakfast, which I enjoyed a lot. The location was ideal, being a reasonable distance from the Gran Via, which meant mostly quiet surroundings yet a 5 min walk to the Gran Via and another 5-10 minutes to other areas meant this place was very central to most places. I walked almost to every site except I did catch the metro to the Prado & Park. Note using the metro is easy - check the guide in the hotel. The shower was a bit small but otherwise worked well. The bathroom was quite large.

Our room was very spacious and airy. The french doors opened onto a small balcony overlooking the square which was lovely. There was some noise outside on an evening but I have stayed in other places in Madrid which are exactly the same. The bit of noise of people chattering did not bother us at all. We will book this hotel again! Would have liked a kettle and coffee making facilities in the room.

The room was interesting and well furnished. Guests had access to the laundry and it was free. The hotel is well located in Madrid. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Cleanliness a plus. Great plAce to stay. Unfortunately it has steep stairs to the bedroom. Difficult to get a heavy suitcase up so we left it downstairs. All the kitchen equipment have been taken out but available on request.
