We paid extra for a refurbished room and it was excellent. We had a balcony with table and chairs and could see the seaport from there. The room was very bright and quiet. We could walk the Rambla and had a choice of many tapa bars and restaurants. It was an easy walk from the train station. The wifi did not work in our room and so we needed to sit in the lobby to access it.

It was a basic good hotel which was a stopover point for us on our way to Southern Spain. It met our needs a a cheap, clean place to stay. Thanks There was a smell in the area between the road and the entrance which was inside the building. There is a kind of hallway. This was cleaned next morning and the doors were left open which did the trick.

Quiet and good location 50 metres from the "balcon" which overlooks the beach. Easy access by car, parking below the hotel. Walking distance to the Roman ruins, 20 minutes walk to the port/fresh fish restaurant area. Difficult to get a big car in and out of the garage.

The good thing about Hotel Lauria is its location, on a wide, tree-lined street close to the historical quarter and to the sea. However,... ... apart from the room we stayed in, which was spacious, just about everything else in the hotel is disappointing: a cramped bathroom, for example, and mediocre breakfasts (soggy croissants, always).

Excellent location for a reasonable price. All the furniture and facilities in the room were very much in need of replacement, especially the beds which were uncomfortable and rather dilapidated.

An nice old hotel in an excellent spot near the coast end of the main Rambla in Tarragona. Room was very clean and spacious with a good balcony and had plenty of storage. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little dated and the room decor reflected this. Bathroom, although adequate was ready for a refurbishment.

I visited Tarragona for the 1st time when I was 12 in 1967: Spain was different than now, but so charming all the same. It was forbidden to speak catalan, but I remember that Catalonia had still then a very peculiar fascination, so different from the other parts of Spain: I remember the cosy swimming-pool (once there was a small "waterfall") and the splendid Rambla Nova. The second time with my wife in summer 1988: we came from Morella and relaxing Hotel Lauria was like an oasis after so much hot roads. Thed third time now, and I am very happy of my choice.

Central location surrounded by bar's and resturants and a vibrent atmosphere all along The Rambler but the hotel offered peace and tranquility. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There were some touches that would greatly improve the stay for instance tea/coffee making facilites in rooms. The internet connection is very poor in the rooms.

Very nice staff; helpful, they speak English, if we had a question about the town of Tarragona they could help us,.. Really satisfied! The room wasn't that big but it was suppose to be a double room, and we stayed there with 3 persons. Room was very clean and was cleaned every day. The pool was also very nice and clean! Location is great! In the middle of everything and just a 5 minute walk from the old roman sites. The beach is a bit further but that's because you have to walk a long way to be able to cross the train tracks. We checked out at noon but were able to leave our luggage at the hotel until we had our flight back in the evening. Perfect location to stay with some friends of family! The distance to the beach is a bit far. But that's normal since there are train tracks crossing the town and the beach. So you will have to walk a bit. But apart from that; great hotel and very friendly!

The proximity to the old town was great, but the bathroom of this hotel was very dirty - hir everywhere, including on the "clean towels". However, the location close to the old town was good, and we enjoyed visiting the roman ruins. Dirty bathroom, with hair everywhere, and the very small shower,
