Score from 264 reviews Wonderful
The hotel is right on the beach and a short walk from the old town. This staff couldn't be more friendly or helpful. The concierge in particular was a delight.
Wi-Fi a little patchy in the room but fine in the bar.
The hotel was fantastic. Just the perfect family run hotel/cottage with adorable rooms and great owners and staff. Fantastic food.... Very clean...Super ambience... And very hospitable. Loved it.... And we were a massive family of all ages traveling.
There was nothing to dislike
An ideal location with a panoramic view. Well appointed in an classic style. Friendly and helpful staff.
A bit difficult to access by car
Good central location. Great staff. Good restaurant and bar.
Excellent concierge service
Great historic hotel in the heart of wonderful city. We had city view room, and it was nice. I can imagine how great is sea view rooms. Wi-fi is good. Staff is excellent and helpful. The value for money is just perfect (I guess that because of out of season for San Sebastian in November). Now I have a dream to stay in this hotel during the film festival.
The City by the sea, the hotel by the sea (we had a sea view room), the staff (very friendly and helpful), the food!
Tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have been good.
The location is awesome and the hotel has this wonderful aura of an old European hotel.
Wifi in my room was next to non-existent. I was able to connect for maybe 10 minutes, but that was it. I was travelling for business, so it was a major disappointment that I couldn't do my job.
excellent hotel , room with sea view worth the bit extra
Location, architecture, hotel restaurant and hotel staff
Difficult to get to the main entrance with car
The view, the arquitecture, the surroundings, the atmosphere
This is a hotel that you just have to visit at least once in your lifetime. Everything here is just as a hotel should be. Also to be recommended is the "pintxo tour" organised by the two wonderful women at the reception area. It is well worth the money for the 3 hour indulgence around the pintxo bars in the old part of town.
Having to leave.
everything, beach view, the hotel has kept up with the years but remodeling and yet keeping the original feeling of an era gone by...all the modern amenities are there along with the atmosphere
couldn't think of a thing that we didn't like..you won't be disappointed by choosing this hotel
Lack of good Aircon. Any adjustments made would not lower the temp
beds are too soft, I havent slept at all... receptionist was a little bit confused and the quality of her english was questionable.
San Sebastian! ... and, this Hotel is a great place from which to see the city. It's comfortable and an enjoyable experience all round. The staff gave us excellent advice on places to eat and were able to book a restaurant for us, despite short notice.
I can't think of anything to dislike here.
location, friendliness and helpfulness of all staff. charm.
Great location on the waterfront. Spacious well appointed room. Comfortable king size bed. Great bathroom. Excellent lounge and dining room. Extremely obliging staff.
Nothing, just wanted to stay longer.
Efficient friendly staff dealt with car & all info on arrival & departure, check-in fast. Lovely room with one of the best views I've seen in a long time, right in the centre of the curve of the bay. If you stay here you must book a sea view, It's a joy. Hotel beautifully appointed & clean all round with lovely staff. Will return with pleasure.
Breakfast was a little hit and miss for this standard of hotel, hot food cold, was asked twice for room number. Coffee pots small. Fruit wasn't that great. Good to see gluten free options although rather limited. Heavy on cakes and expensive for what it was. Wifi patchy.
Staff were great and very helpful particularly with parking. Lovely view of the beach and bay, very spacious and comfy room. Would have liked to have stayed longer and tried the restaurant as looked good but only stayed overnight.
Nothing, it was all good
Warm welcome from staff, a number with a good grasp of English. Nothing was a bother. View from our beach facing room was stunning! Plan to return some day soon.
Location is outstanding
loved the view from the open balcony doors & the priximity to the old town.
A serious lack of info from the hotel re : approach by car and parking!! And very overpriced for a rather "tired" hotel !!
