The staff in the hotel REALLY speaks English and is very helpful. Also good offer of one day trips which turned out to be helpful as I had very little time. Warm water available all the time. Despite the central location close to high streets and nightlife the room was very quiet.

Slight smell of old pipes in the bathroom.

The staff & location are both excellent! I stayed there 2 years ago and saw the same staff this time. Location is prime. Very clean and orderly.

Rooms are small and sparse for the price. The TV is so small! The bathrooms are small & the lighting is not good.

I liked the location, as it is near the most important sightseeing places in Madrid. The staff is friendly, the rooms are equiped with everything you need, the cleaning service was OK. WiFi is free and good.

Standard breakfast includes coffee, juice,2 toasts, and a muffin, and this costs 4 Euro, if you want fried eggs with bacon, you have to pay extra 2 Euro (all in all 6 Euro), but near the hotel you can find lots of cafes with cheaper breakfast (starting with 1,5 Euro for a coffee and a croissant) which will include almost the same.

nice location, nice bathroom, confortable hotel foyer

noisy heater, no clock available in the room, should have a shower instead of a bath tub, room door must be closed with key or will stay unlock.

The staff are beautiful - always avaiable to help. I had a really noisy room and highlighted this fact to them and they changed me to a quiet lovely room no problem. They are always really happy to help with their hotel and with directions around the city and are cheerful.

Well some of the rooms are noisy and if you need sleep - you might not get it. It is a place in the centre of a noisy nighttime gay , party district. Double glazed windows do help. You certainly feel the great vibe of Madrid here.

Fabulously located for exploring Madrid on foot. Well priced.

Rooms are on the small side, but this is to be expected for the price. If you book the Airport shuttle service make sure you get written proof - we were left high and dry when it wasn't booked as promised and we had to spend an extra £20 on a taxi.

A really good location, nice building

I stayed in this hostel because of recommendation of my friends who liked it very much. They were lucky. I booked a single room, and instead a cozy room with balcony and a nice view I got a 7square meters hole with a window to an inner yard, 2 meters away from an opposite window. I mean, there is a lot of accommodation opportunities in Madrid, so this run-down hole for 43 euro a day was not a really good choice... But, I guess, I was just unlucky

loction near to gran via and its metro station

small room, very small bathroom, noisy,i can hear clearly snore sleeping in the next room, the window in my room does not close fully, absolutely not recommended for those with a car because the parking is impossible or very expensive, without refregirator,,,,,,,expensive for nothing

The room is very basic and so we looked for. It's for people that want to get their stuff in the room and hop out of it to stroll the city streets. The staff were nice and recommended upon good attraction worth a visit. The location is great! At this time of year, they closed a nearby subway line - which didn't matter because there is another line very close. For shopping groupies - it's super close to all the main stores down in Grand Via.

The "Continental" breakfast is a joke. However, as we see it, one of Madrid's enjoyments is having your breakfast out in the street. So basically, we recommend you not to add the hotel's breakfast and have it downtown.
