Very good,

“ Hotel Los Fariones was a beautiful hotel. My husband and i thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, it was very relaxing. The variety of food at breakfast was also great. The location of the hotel was good close to all restaurants and shops etc. We had a wonderful time going back in october. ”

We have been guests in the Fariones numerous times and always enjoy our stay. The hotel in general badly needs an overhaul. The carpets are very grotty and dated. And for 7 years I have recommended an iron for each room and a kettle as standard. Notwithstanding all this I will be back hopefully.

So what if the furniture is a bit dated in the rooms? The place is spotless. The service is fantastic. The people are great. The location may be the best on Lanzarote, and the price is right. I will definitely stay again. As long as you can do without air conditioning (and with balconies and sea breezes it's not that hard), this is a fantastic hotel. Great breakfast, too!

We liked the grounds of the hotel and the way they were laid out. Lots of little areas in which to relax on sunloungers etc. Particularly liked the little cove when it wasnt breezy. Hotel was a bit dated but very clean and staff were pleasant in the main - one person in particular stood out - Lito on reception who was extremely professional, helpful and always good humoured. Breakfast & dinner were reasonably good though there were occasions when the staff very obviously wanted us to eat and run! The area of Puerto del Carmen Old Town was very disappointing - rather tacky with very few shopping facilities & not very many good restaurants. The latter in the main were very ordinary with just one or two exceptions. Far too many Irish pubs for our liking but people seemed to like them!As an Irish person I do not understand why you would want to go to an Irish pub when in a Spanish resort!

The location . Didn't service room one day even though reminded staff at reception at 5 o'clock .no apology just shrug of shoulder Negative response to request for late checkout. . Repeat custom got no recognition ...twice a year for past 2 years and numerous visits going back 20 years with extended family .

We are repeat guests so enjoy the relaxation and friendliness of long serving staff. The breakfast buffets are excellent. The dinner buffets lack in variety particularly for guests staying 2 weeks. The infrastructure is a bit worn; carpets in corridors need replacing amd exterior needs painting.

Fantastic location, friendly staff, very clean, amazing veiws, great choice of food at breakfast. Rooms could do with a refurb, no dressing table and lack of electrical points. Slightly over priced as well, think they need to review pricing.

Its central location to "the strip" and to the Old Town. very nice pool area and lower deck for the sunbathers. well kept gardens around pool and deck. You promised WiFi. There was only service in a limited area around the pool. Our devises kept loosing log in and we had to return to reception many times to get new codes. This frustrated ALL reception people and they expressed it unprofessionally. Only the bed was made each day. No clean glasses, no towels replaced, At Buffet dinner tea was available but there was a charge for coffee!!! The furniture in room 307 was chipped and tired looking.

The hotel location is excellent, a quite oasis to rest and relax. During our last visit (2008) we were able to swop Dinner for Lunch , this option was ideal for us as we didn't want to dress for dinner every night, and one of the reasons we booked the hotel, however this option is no longer available, which was disappointing and may influence any furture return to the hotel.

I left a detailed comment card in the room when leaving. The main comments were that staff should be more friendly (even an occassional smile), why no / very few female staff, charging for access to the gym / leisure facility (should at least have reduced price arrangement), lack of air-conditioning, lighting in teh room is very poor and decor is dated.

The location right at the beach, with good swimming and walking possibilities. The breakfast buffet was excellent. My coeliac diet was very well catered for. The room was clean but very dated. The furniture and fittings were of good quality but the carpet, upholstery and curtains were faded and did not smell fresh. We also would have liked air conditioning. It was very warm at night and if we left the window open, mosquitoes came in.

Excellent location for both beach, restaurants and shopping. Quite unusual for hotels of this standard on the continent the beds were comfortable. The restaurant was very tired with an uninviteing display of food. We were bed and breakfast only and always got sufficient but I found it very dull.

Location beach Broadband not working for the complete week not acceptable. The "Garecia" woman in the bar is rude. So much so if she was working we ate across the road at lunchtime. Lunchtime food is too expensive for the quality. Breakfast needs an up grade. Its the same thing for years. No new ideas coming small things I know but it is a four star hotel no sunloungers available because the management hadn’t the guts to confiscate all the goods left to reserve the loungers each morning at 7. some sun loungers were reserved all day and nobody ever came to them. Why cant management bag up the towels and jackets etc label them and let the offending guests collect them at reception later. Then there would be enough beds to go around

Our hotel room was cleaned on a regular basis. Myself and my husband was on honeymoon. Found the hotel room to be very old fashioned and there was no air condintion only a fan. Staff were not tthat helpful to us as both of us are coeliacs ( gluten free diets ) They did provide us with bread for breakfast but at dinner staff ran away from us as they did not know how to deal with our questions re sauces etc.

This was our third stay at Los Fariones and once again we really enjoyed our visit. The hotel is situated beside the sea and close to the old town of Puerta del Carmen – an excellent location. The staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the breakfast is first class. We definitely plan to return. One complaint. There are notices around the pool indicating that inflatable airbeds/boats are forbidden in the pool. However, while we were at the hotel there was a large party of adults and children who monopolised the pool all day with large inflatables preventing other guests from enjoying the water. Very selfish.
