Hotel Lyon  

Excellent location. Near the sea, 15 mins to La Rambla on foot. Near Barcelonetta metro station. They cleaned my rooms every day.

Paper walls - you can hear everything from reception or other rooms. Veeeery small rooms, without windows (you are not able to check the weather in the morning. All you see from the window is wall). Staff does not speak English. The smell in the hotel. It's more for budget travellers. Not the place where I would like to get back to. If you are travelling during the season time - don't choose this hotel. You will be dissapoinded! Spend 100 eu more and find other one.

The location was very convenient.

We booked a double room but got a twin. The lift did not always work. The place was more like a hostel.

The location was excellent, in a quite part of the city, near the Port, but also less than 10 mins from La Ramblas and all shopping etc. The room was cleaned ( beds made , bins, towels etc.) every day. There was an air conditioning unit in the room which was so useful, as the weather was roasting hot! We got a twin ensuite room ( all rooms ensuite. It was a massive room, but it was still comfortable, and we only used it to sleep so it did us fine. The staff was polite, hadn't fluent english, but we were all able to get by easy enough. Also a 24 hour reception was handy for late nights, as you left your key with the hotel each time you left. No need to worry about losing the key. In all, pleasant, quite, quaint accomadation that suited our needs.

Feeling very bad: 1. the room is with a very small window and the air condition is very noicy. it is difficult to sleep at night. 2. the room is small without even a table. 3. the room costs was deducted from credit card without my signature before I left the hotel.

Great location, right at the metro station and close to historical center. Small, cosy hotel. Stuff doesnt speak English but trying to be helpful. Excellent value for money - for the price of cheap hostel we got a private room in hotel!

Nothing really. Well, the elevator is old and often was out of order. Stuff should get some basic English language course.

The personnel was always kind and polite to us. The room was clean and the towels were replaced daily. The location was close to Port Vel, Barceloneta beach, Aquarium, Columb column, Rambla.

The hotel is not quiet. Each morning you get your sleep disturbed by doors, cleaning activities. Very often you can hear the bells at the reception :) The rooms are very small. No air conditioning was in our room, but we didn't need it. The personnel does not speak English, but we could get what we needed.

The staff was great. The rooms were very clean. Location was excellant and a very good surprise for a 1 star, which I never do but took a chance.

Going in the hall was very dark. Even though it was secure I thought you could easy trip and hurt one's self.

The only good thing about this hotel was its location, close enough to the centre to be reached on foot.

We didn't even have the confort of having our own key. Every day we had to return the key to member of staff before venturing out. We had to keep all our precious belongings on us at all time.The door didn't have a lock, just a little latch that was easily dislodged.
