This stylish, 4-star hotel, built in the Al-Andalus style, is set between Córdoba’s commercial centre and its main historic sights, all of which are within walking distance.

The hotel serves as a good base to visit important sites such as the Mosque, the Jewish Quarter, the Sinagogue, the Viana Palace, the Fernandinas Churchs and a wide range of important monuments and museums which are near of the hotel. In the hotel itself you will note the ornate patterns, tiles, columns and arches typical of the city’s style. And it is within the traditional Andalusian courtyard that you will find the hotel’s impressive swimming pool.

Food & beverage

The hotel’s restaurant Los Alarifes is open to both guests and the public. From the dining rooms large windows you can contemplate the wonderful views over the two pretty courtyards – one where you find the pool and another cobbled courtyard with orange trees that give off a wonderful aroma.

The pleasant restaurant offers some of the best traditional local cuisine as well as international dishes all with a cuisine d’auteur touch.

The breakfast buffet is served: 7:00 – 10:30
Lunch: 13:00 – 15:30
Dinner: 20:30 – 23:00

144 rooms in total made up of doubles, twins and singles as well as 2 junior suites and a suite with jacuzzi.

All are fully-equipped with en suite bathrooms. Some of the rooms boast a terrace.

Area information

A 15 minute walk will take you the Mosque-Cathedral, the Jewish quarter, the Alcazar, the Synagogue now a museum and other museums, pretty squares and shops.

Just 5 minutes away you will find Palace of Viana, the Cristo de los Faroles statue, Plaza de la Corrdera and the torre de la Malmuerta (tower).

The Medina al-Zahra ruins are located 8 km away.

Pool only opened 11-8pm. What's wrong with being able to swim at 7am before breakfast?

We were delighted. at the end of a superb holiday in Spain, to discover the Macia Alfaros. It fulfilled all the family's requirements for a hotel in Cordoba in August. Not only was the swimming pool a great advantage but what with it's location and helpful and friendly staff makes this hotel a place we hope to return to.

It is located within easy walking distance to everything. Having a pool

location. hotel itself

no help with bags to room, 2 floors down lifts etc, no poolside bar drinks servicejust a coca cola machine howeverv these are small details

Staff were very helpful and friendly, bar provided snacks and was open until 1am although did not open until 11am each morning

Location, possibility to park in the hotel

Very hard to justify the 4 stars of this hotel. Had a particularly bad experience with the reception staff (no greeting, ineffecient, unfriendly).

really the location is great ,very near to all interesting places ,and i liked so much that they had a car parking .

the swimming pool is quite small , and the swimming pool ddnt hv any kind of service on it for food or even drinks

Well located. Good frim beds. Pool was a welcome relief from 40 degree weather.

The pool while refreshing was smaller than expected. They had no record of my reservation and did not have power at the front desk when we arrived so we could not check in.

It was very central with helpful staff.

We booked two non smoking rooms and one of the rooms had had someone
smoking cigars in it. It was very smelly and would not let our children
sleep in it. So we slept in it. We asked the desk to freshen it up and
they said they would but did not.

The hotel is in an excellent locaton, underground parking is very good.
The staff are friendly and very helpful. The room was lovely. We asked
to borrow an iron and ironing board and got them, other hotels had said
they didnt lend these to guests. Free internet access was great whilst
in other hotels you needed to have your own laptop. Nice pool. Good
value for money.

We arrived in Cordoba late at night and the signs directing you to the
hotel were incorrect. We had to park our car and walk to the hotel and
get directions for how to drive to it.

The staff at the hotel were extreemly helpful because of the lack of our Spanish language, we could not have achived our committments for our visit if the reception staff had not been there..
