It was within walking distance of the train station. Good restaurant serving excellent food. Cafe for snacks. The beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. The hotel was close to El Museo Prado. I have no complaints, except having to pay for wi-fi. A 2-star hotel in Zaragoza provided free wi-fi. |

We liked the location - very close to train station, metro stop, Prado, Reine Sofia Museum, Botanical garden and Retiro park. The room was lovely, roomy, quiet, and very clean. The food in the restaurant was the best we had in Madrid and the staff got to know us and give us special snacks since there were few people eating there. They gave me bags of ice every night for my bad knee (whereas another hotel we stayed at in Granada would only give ice in a drink). |

The hotel is conveniently located - walking distance to Atocha railway station and the Prado. Noise travels through the hotel walls, which was only a problem with the occassionally noisy neighbours in the middle of the night. |

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Other than that it is a clean and pleasant, but fairly basic hotel. It was close to the train station. |

Good location - walking distance to the Atocha railway station (10 minute walk when laden with bags), and for another 10 minutes walk, you can be in the heart of Museum territory - the highlight of course being the Prado. Retiro park is nearby for a refreshing respite from busy Madrid. Twin share room a little on the small side, as were each of the beds. Fruit in the Buffet breakfast not so fresh on our first morning, but this did improve. |

Close to the museums and main transport. Close to the Madrid main park. Clean and comfortable room. Good value for money. The intrenet available in the foyer was too expensive and too slow. |

The security guards at the lobby were very friendly and helpful. Agumar is also located within walking distance from the metro station and many of Madrid's main attractions, which is wonderful for tourists like me who enjoy exploring the city by foot. |

We received good help with getting the tourist bus The doorman on one particular day was very poorly mannered. I was trying to access the computer in the lobby to check my emails. There were no instructions in english so I was struggling. The doorman came over and said 'you must get a pass from the desk' and then reached over me and switched offf the screen. This made me feel like an intruder instead of a guest. |

Spacious accommodation and air conditioning. The reception staff were helpful and pleasant. We were accommodated by hotel at no extra charge to store our luggage as we were not leaving Madrid until later in the day. The breakfast was pricey especially if you only wanted coffee and toast but exceptionally good value if you wanted all your meals in one go. The menu in the restaurant was not very varied. Two of the rooms had a strong smell of sewerage and were very noisey. |

This is my third stay at the Hotel Agumar. It's a great location - close proximity to the Atocha Train Station, walking distance to the museums and major sightseeing locations. Would have liked to set the thermometer lower then the pre-set 16C. |

It's and easy walk to the train station and Centro Reina Sofia. I find the price for my room quite high, and does not even include breakfast. |

The restaurant is a real treat and also the help carrying the luggage. Since I have a disability, the fact that there didd't have a bathroom with shower stall was a bit of an inconvenience, however, this is a common problem with hotels. The room furnishings were dated. |
