Although booked 2 months in advance they gave us a twin room instead of a double. They moved us the next day but it was a little frustrating when we arrived so late. Bedding could do with updating. Otherwise the room was clean and comfy. Location is great, a few hundred yards from the metro station Sainz de Baranda where you can get the tube to pretty much anywhere. 10 mins on the bus to the city centre. Great little cafes nearby where a 2 x cafe con leches & tortillas will set you back less than 4 euros which is a great breakfast / snack! Food selection in the bar is poor Twin room was given instead of a double even though the room booked in advance

The employes of the reception, bar and restaurant were very nice. Free of cost wi-fi. Very good italian restaurant (Ginos) on the door step. Very bad room cleaning. My room was definitely not cleaned. Even in the mini bar I had a open bottle of water! The interenet connection (wi-fi) is very slow in the rooms.

Nice modern hotel with a good breakfast. Correctly rated 4 stars in my opinion. No dinner available for hotel guests on New Year's Eve in the restaurant. Fully booked out - should have asked when room was booked. Also, there are 2 buildings and the address for both should be clearly communicated in the hotel page in booking.com.

- Nice, clean rooms. - Friendly staff. - Windows cannot be opened for some fresh air. - Wireless internet is really bad; could not Skype with colleagues, got kicked out of my e-mail inbox a lot of times because of lost connection, downloading of business documents impossible.

Very peaceful, comfortable place to stay. It's approximately 30 minutes' walk to the centre (though Museo del Prado is closer), but as that walk is through the Parque del Retiro, it's a very pleasant way to being each day enjoying Madrid. Not a huge amount in the immediate vicinity - quite a businessy area. Though we found a pleasant cafe for lunch, and a supermarket just 5 minutes down the road, both of which proved useful and good for our 5 day stay.

Although the hotel is not centrally located, it is close to the metro. Getting to the hotel from the airport by train was simple. We walked through and enjoyed the beautiful park to get to the city center and back every day. We also used the convenient metro [about 150 meters away] a few times to and fro. The rooms are very spacious, modern and clean. Hotel staff very pleasant. Free water in the lobby and mini-bar is fantastic during hot Madrid days.

They were very accommodating to allow my wife and two college aged kids in one room. On the other hand, there was no privacy and the kids were up until 3 am most nights: get two rooms! The location was very central to metro, about three blocks south of Baranda stop. We took the metro from the airport and bought a five day all you can ride card which was most convenient. The city does not go to bed and always felt safe on subway and in the neighborhood of Ayre. Would highly recommend and will return again!

Calm area and close to metro station. Room was clean, didn't have the problem of hearing the neighbours. Bathroom was spacious too. You can't open the window, so sleeping with airco is a must in the summer. We didn't have a big window, nor a nice view either.

A great hotel, friendly staff, good food, good location in a quiet area with ver y good access by metro to centre. All staff very friendly and shilling but one waiter serves like hé would do in a bad cafetaria and does not belong in a 4star hotel.

The Hotel was very modern and clean. The Reception staff were very helpful when we asked for directions or points of interest. The price of room only was reasonable. The Hotel is located slightly away from the city but is situated well for transport links ie: Metro is 3 mins away .Bus stop is 5 mins. It was very useful to have complimantary water replaced in the room each day. We missed not having any Tea/Coffee making facilities in the room. The biggest let down for us was the Breakfast. Not only was it very expensive, the food on the hot plate was cold.you can ask for freshly cooked sausages or eggs but they were either undercooked or also cold.We decided half way through our stay to cancel the breakfast option, and so did our friends.

We staid in your hotel for 6 nights. The location and reception services were excellent, but from housekeeping service we were really disappointed. Our room was dirty. Dust in every place. Chambermaids did not changed bed sheets during our stay, they did not changed towels. Only when we turned to reception with dirty towel, we got a clean one. All this things hard to find in basic hotel, and of course from 4 stars hotel (as you sign) we really didn't expected for such bad service

Rooms are very modern, bathroom warm and luxurious. Breakfast buffet is to die for -- the most we paid in Madrid or southern France, but worth it if you are hungry, and they stay open until 10:30. It is more business- than family-oriented, which we didn't realize when we made the reservation, but it worked out great. Room was incredibly hot when we first arrived and we had to get the staff to help us open the window. Everyone was very pleasant and they sent help immediately for two separate issues.

We can't say enough good things about this hotel. The staff is both professional, yet warm and helpful. Everybody from the maids to the front desk, and even the maintenance staff, was friendly. When we wanted to rent a car, the hotel arranged for the car to be dropped off and picked up at the hotel. Our room was clean, comfortable, and very tastefully designed. The overall architectural design of the hotel is tastefully modern with nice art pieces decorating the walls. We had dinner once at the hotel restaurant and were treated to a delicious gastronomical treat presented very nicely. Even the hotel cafeteria served great breakfasts. Each evening, the hotel lounge featured chillout downtempo DJ's with drinks and occasional complimentary desserts. We were even treated to a great Silent Disco on the rooftop one night, and a charity festival one weekend. We actually found it hard to leave the hotel on some evenings! Our complaints are very few and hardly of concern. Our room was located near the maids' storage room so each morning at 9am, there was a constant thumping sound each time the maids entered the supply room. Because of the positive reputation of this hotel, there was a constant line in the lobby so we only went to the front desk on late nights whenever possible. Finally, our room keycards needed to be re-flashed every 3 days or so.

“I chanced upon this hotel as I was looking for shifting out of an excessively highly priced downtown hotel. My experience was very pleasant. Booking via booking.com gave me a room 3 times bigger, with free access to wi-fi (Euro 12/day in other hotel), and a bottle of wine to top it up. The area was very nice and if one keeps about 15 minutes commuting time by Metro, it would be a steal to stay here for any business or holiday traveller to Madrid …. ” Sandeep, New Delhi |
