The hotel was incredibly close to all the sites and easily accessible by two metro stations- Sol and Sevilla. Very quiet. A long walk to the salamanca shopping district but with such good access to the metro the location was perfect. The buffet breakfast looked like it had sat there for 2 days as the meats and cheese were dry and pastries very hard. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in with uncomfortable pillows. Air con didn't work properly either so we had the window open- ok for Feb but wouldn't be good in summer.

The hotel is situated in the very center of the city of Madrid yet it is really quiet, being in a small street. It's on walking distance to many of the important museums (Prado, Thyssen). The stuff was friendly, kind and extremely helpful in anything we asked. The room was beatifully decorated, fairly comfortable and the bathroom was surprisingly large and always clean. We were never bothered by street noises. Breakfast was plenty, of high quality. Overall, it was an amazing surprise of how good the hotel was regarding its price. We have stayed in many hotels, some of them more pricey, and this was one of the few times that we really didn't feel cheated by what we had read regarding the provided services of the hotel. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Only thing good about this hotel is the location. Close to everything Rooms were hot and because it's before June 1 they would not turn the air conditioning on. Theyr reason is you need to open the wyndow. If you don't like noise or want a dark room or would like privacy then you are out of luck. The carpet was softer than the bed. The pillows were almost as hard

I have stayed at this hotel on tw previous occasions and found itvery good. However this time was different. It seems to be chronicly understaffed. Getting bar service a game of find the barman . The breakfast was terrible cold eggs and bacon, stale bread and do it yourself coffee machines. The room heating was either full heat or nothing and the bed linen old and holed. What a disappointment never again.

“The hotel staff were friendly and willing to accommodate our luggage while we went on a bus tour for southern Spain. In addition, its location was great. Within three blocks of Sol and a block south of Callao, it was still very quiet and comfortable. We highly recommend it if you are planning on visit Madrid Centro.” Gabriel, Mcallen, Texas |
