The room is very big and the bathroom also. We've had a sea view room at 4th floor and it was nice to look at the sea because the surroundings are not so nice.
When we first entered the room there was a bad smell coming from the bathroom but we've opened the window and it was gone. The restaurant is horrible. The breakfast is not so good, but you can choose something to eat. The dinner is expensive and not so good. Do not drink sangria here because is a jar filled with ice and some wine between cubes. If you want to have a nap in the afternoon, make sure that you put the "do not disturb" sign on the door; we didn't do so and the maid knocked our door three times around 2 pm.
Very close to the beach, restaurants and shops. Good size rooms
They prefer spanish language (or russia), but poor english.(exept a manager last day) Our room was ready for check in only at 14:30 (not at 12). The door electricity didn't work (we had to change room (+ 1/2 hour)) It' s a middle class hotel. If you don't wait too much from the hotel, than it's ok. I think it is closer a good 3star hotel than a 4star one.
Very goof staff, close to the sea, the room is big and nice. The dinner menu "a la carte" has not a lot of choice for vegetarian dishes, though the staff was very helpful and made some improvisation for us.
Must warn that there are a lot of russians in the hotel and all around in the city. Though it's not a fail of the hotel, it's just generally region loved by russian tourists.
nice room has all the amenities you want.
not on the beach 1 block inbut not a deal breaker. lobby could use some sprucing up
The location is perfect for going to the beach.
When we entered the room the smell was not very nice. Not so clean in the room
Location near beach and restaurants, Very nice hotel, large rooms Great breakfast
Extra charge to use room safe..
We stayed at the Magnolia for 3 nights at the end of May. The main "+" to be mentioned: really close to the promenade and the sea; very good buffet breakfast and we had also a dinner (decent buffet with starters and sweats; main dish à la carte) since a girl at the reception proposed us to switch to HB upon our arrival for additional 10 EUR pp which was really reasonable. We booked a superior room and it was really spacious, located on the 5th floor (just as we asked when did our booking), overlooking not busy street and with a partial view of the sea. The shower room was spacious and with hydro massage. The supermarket "Michelangelo" is located nearby (8 min by foot) which is also very convenient for buying drinks or snacks so you don't need to overpay during your dinner in the hotel (bear in mind that drinks are not included!). Overall, we have really enjoyed our stay in this hotel and could recommend it to anyone else, especially for a non-high period stay.
The single inconvenience was a bad small in the shower room, but luckily it disappeared after the first use. We were also told that spa was included in our booking fee, but somehow each time we tried to use it, the premise was closed, although it was not a big deal for us.
Lovely spacious room, big bathroom very modern and very clean. Bed was big and very comfortable. Very close to the beach.
No bar cafe open at all to have a cup of coffee or a drink during the day or night .
Parked right outside the hotel or we could park in their car park for €10. a night. Huge comfortable room. Bathroom perfect with a bath one side and separate shower cubicle the other side.Ate in the hotel restaurant which was very good, buffet for starters, hot and cold food 2nd course from the menu we both had different fish and both were excellent, desert from buffet. Good selection for breakfast. Well worth going off the motorway while we were travelling through Spain. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Really good room, huge double bad, balcony with arm chairs, wi-fi was free in room. Perfect location! Sea 100m, bus station 50m, railway station near 10min at walk, PortAventura 20min at walk, shops and markets so close.
TV in room, wi-fi disconnection.
Adults only, close to town but nice quiet area, close to beach, friendly helpful staff as always, great shower.
breakfast could do with a little improving.
Beautiful hotel with excellent facilities. Rooms were superb.
Very large well equipped rooms bathroom was exceptional. Two single beds were larger than normal with deep mattresses. Breakfast was excellent with varied choices. Spa entry was included with room rate
Outlook from balcony was a little disappointing overlooking a block of poorly maintained apartments. The Spa requires a rest area with beds during a winter stay.
I still like the huge bed in the room and the view from my balcony.
I have been staying at this hotel for the third time, probably the last. It was the warmest weekend in Daurada coast this year, therefore, the hotel was very crowded. Me and my partner could not use sauna and jacuzzi area as it was already busy. Presumably, tge best time to fully enjoy the stay at Magnolia hotel is during the winter time.
Location, Staff, Shower, Room
Friendly staff. Very good amenities in the comfortable room.
Lighting in the lobby leading to the room was little poor.
Breakfast very bad and out of date.
room was spacious, staff friendly and professional. A good location if staying in Salou when the resort is in full swing. However when I stayed in November it was not nice. The streets were deserted.Like a ghost town...
I was in Salou for business. I was disappointed there was no room service available. The spa was advertised but not available. I understand the seasonality factor but for customers booking this hotel, they should be informed of "reduced services" when staying on off peak times.
clean modern hotel great bathrooms, parking right buy the door, will stay again no problem. the staff were very helpful.
Hotel was modern, clean and the rooms were large. Good location...the beach is a minutes walk away. Beds were large and comfy. Huge bathroom! Water supplied in the room :)
As it was off season...there was no where to get anything to eat during the day for lunch. No tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
This hotel is the best for couples travels without children.
Good quality rooms, just a pity the hotel was so poor.
Do not use this hotel if you have a car. Despite the web site showing the icon for parking when we arrived there was none and no alternative offered. My husband drove around for 40 minutes and had to park 25 minutes walk away. The staff were indifferent. The breakfast was one of the worst I have ever had in this class of hotel, the dining area was drab. The location of the hotel is set back from the beach and surrounded by high rises, no benefit from being close to the sea and not worth the money we paid. Overall a bad experience, very expensive and bad value for money, we will not be staying here again and will think again about any Sercotel.
