Mar Blau is located right by Benidorm’s Elche Park, 250 ft from Poniente Beach. It has a 24-hour front desk and air conditioned rooms with satellite TV, most with a private terrace. Mar Blau offers an air conditioned bar-cafe and international buffet restaurant, with sea views. There is also a TV lounge. Rooms at Mar Blau are all heated and feature views of the sea, the mountains or central Benidorm. Safes can be rented at the front desk. A bus stop can be found only 500 ft from Mar Blau. This offers easy access to the Aqualand, Mundomar, Terra Natura and Terra Mítica Theme Parks. There is also a taxi stand 330 ft away. Hotel Rooms: 53, Hotel Chain: Ona Sol. Being a 2* hotel, to be honest didn't expect much. But seriously it's the best hotel of this category I've ever stayed in, key areas were cleanliness, rooms tidied every day, excellent job to the cleaners! The hotel staff were very helpful, questions, concerns, anything was answered or help was attempted to best of ability. Location was perfect, right in the centre of OLD TOWN area, very near gay scene, 5 mins walk to all bars in localised area. Great restaurants in every direction. Best one was the Chinese, very good price's, excellent taste... 16 euro's for 2 dishes, including rice & two drinks & coffee for 2 to finish. Wi-Fi is available, but you must pay the following tarrifs... it's fast though. 2 hours access is 3.50 6 hours 9.50 unlimited time & data is £19.50. Breakfasts were unpredictable, mixture of continental & english breakfast style. 1 day could be sausages & beans, then none the next, with fried eggs & fried bread the next. No Tea or Coffee facilities or Fridge. Excellent hotel & was very competitive with price, fully recommend. We booked in March & arrived in May, Booking.com didn't give option for SEA VIEW, but in comments section we asked for it, but apparently you have to confirm and pay extra to get SEA VIEW, bit disappointed in that, but side & back view room was very also.

La ultima vez que estuve en este hotel fue hace quince años, y lo encontré igual que entonces, con la diferencia del menú que entonces era un menú fijo para todos los comensales y ahora es buffet libre. Está en una situación inmejorable, y si tienes la suerte de que te den una habitación con vistas al mar prácticamente sientes que lo tienes en la habitación. Yo no tuve esa suerte a pesar de sugerirlo en mi reserva. No haber conseguido una habitación con vistas al mar. El detalle en el menú de "discutir" si entra o no entra el agua.

El personal. Todo el mundo era muy simpatico.Nos gusto el ambiente familiar. Nos sentimos como en casa. Nuestra habitacion estaba lista cuando llegamos al mediodia. La ubicacion frente a la playa de Poniente. La comida es muy buena comparada con la de otros hoteles de Benidorm de calidad similar. En general una buenisima estancia relacion calidad / precio. Acabo de reservar tres otros fines de semana durante el otono. Solo una pequena decepcion. Pide una habitacion en una alta planta lejos del ascensor y tuvimos una habitacion en la primera planta quasi junto al ascensor!! Esperamos que las otras veces sera diferente, porque nos gusta muchisimo este hotel, uno de los mejores de Benidorm, relacion calidad / ubicacion / precio.

La cocina es muy buena, todo en su punto, se nota que se cocina para pocas personas y todo sale más bueno. El personal correcto. Necesita una gran reforma, sustituir bañeras por duchas, puertas, armarios, salón de tv. quitar barreras arquitectónicas para minusválidos, etc; cuando realicen ésta reforma volveré, aunque me supongo que incrementarán el precio. Un saludo.

The staff is nice and friendly. We were given a room with sea views and the location of this hotel is great-very close to the beach, to the histtorical centre and to the centre of the night life. But this is the hotel of 1-2stars max, so it should cost much less! The hotel is quite old and all the rooms and decorations are shabby and from 70s. But we don't care that much about the design, we weren't going to live there for life. So the worst is the food, the selection is poor and the quality is worse. There was very very bad chicken and turkey for supper, and all the food is just that bad!

Su situacion centrica y accesibilidad a la playa y zonas comerciales. Buen bufet de desayuno y buena atención del servicio de recepción de mañana y mala atención por la tarde. Su mala relación calidad-precio, es todo viejo con malas camas y la tención del servicio de recepción de tarde.
