This elegant, continental-style hotel boasts an excellent location in the historic centre of Madrid, making it ideal for any type of visit.

Start the day with a delicious breakfast, served beneath the colourful glass roof of the hotel restaurant. After that, you will find sightseeing easy thanks to the hotel’s privileged setting, set between Gran Vía and the city’s focal point of Puerta del Sol. From here you will quickly find other attractions such as Plaza Mayor, the Royal Palace, the Retiro Park and the 3 world-class galleries.

In the evening, return to the hotel’s MEP restaurant to enjoy the Mediterranean cuisine made with creative touches from around the world. You can then retire to your room to relax in the hydromassage shower unit.

It is very centrally located with easy access to many sights and shopping district, good for tourists. Hotel has a nice lobby floor with comfortable sitting area, while the room we stayed was small but the bath room is clean and well equipped. Breakfast buffet is a plus especially when it's included in the room rate.

It would be even better if the hotel could put a free/compliment bottle of water in the room daily as most of the Asian hotels would do, marginal cost but big value to the customers.

Very helpful staff, well positioned for the Galleries and the more interesting areas for restaurants, tapas bars and shopping. Also three Metro stations close by. Comfortable, quiet room at the back of the hotel. WiFi in the room.

Initially we were concerned about the situation of the hotel,basically on a lane like street but it turned out to be a superb location which was walking distance from everywhere.The staff,cleanliness,and food were excellent.

Only a small thing but at breakfast the hot food sometimes lay to long before being replaced.

The location, the size of the room and the decor. It also had good air conditioning and nice bathroom

No free wi-fi. It was given in the information that it was free in the lobby and public areas but was not. 12 euros a day is a lot.

Room was pleasant; staff has promised to send camera battery charger we
left in bathroom outlet; anxious for this to happen. Asked for discount
due to lack of hot water (really needed warm bath, never got it!); had
to really argue about appropriate discount, but got it.

No hot/warm water for entire 18 hours of stay, no response by phone from
room when calling about lack of hot water, at 7pm and at 7am, had to go
down to desk; water heater turned on in am, but not in time for us to
get our water even warm. Internet connection did not work.

The central location is excellent. The hotel is attractively furnished and decorated. The room was comfortable. The service was good.

The (side-)street outside was a bit noisy until very late - not that that is the fault of the hotel.

the hotel does not deserve its stars. located in an alley near the centre but near the street where prostitution is in large. the alley stinks from pee. Air conditioning not working until summer arrive. they have a seperate open space for smoking, and all smoke goes up to the rooms
