Score from 1123 reviews Good
Location, price, staff were friendly, bathroom good size, twin room we finally choose was reasonable good size and quiet due to court yard location
needed to view 3 rooms to find an acceptable one, all had problems with bed side lamps, either not working or being loose off the wall. bedroom lacked bin, bathroom nor fridge had any cups/glasses. Breakfast sitting a bit odd on low chairs/tables in the bar area. Breads could be presented better...
Good location and value for money if you do not need to spend much time in your hotel.
The food options were very limited, particularly the room service. No tea & coffee in the room, no mini bar.
I liked the decor and spacious foyer of this hotel, and the fact that it is within walking distance to Plaza Mayor, the Prado, the gardens, shops, cafes and the Metro. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel, and would stay in it again if we go back to Madrid.
Tv , fridge , AC very vey bad , hot and hot inside room
Very central location that is close to all the main sights. Very safe area to walk around in the evening. Plush and clean.
Very good location, close to restaurants and metro station. Lots of shops nearby and Paseo del Prado and Parque del Retiro within walking distance. Personnel in the breakfast area is very friendly.
Some days the street is very noisy late night (3, 4 am) when a nearby club closes and people stay on the streets. Get away fron rooms facing the street. Parking is very expensive as it is public.
the situation in Madrid center
Excellent location as 2 min walk to the centre. Helpful staff.
There was no coffee making facilities (maybe missed that when booking). Beds were hard but matter of taste.
Location Breakfast hall Wifi
The mattresses are no longer good. The hotel must replace them. I gave this feedback to the receptionist and the answer was, "Yes, management knows this point".
Breakfast is good, staff is friendly and room and bathroom have good sizes.
There is a problem with rooms located in the front of the hotel. These rooms are very noisy if you are unlucky to be there fridays and weekends when people leave a discotheque next to the hotel and stay below you window talking and being loud at 4am in the morning.
The location is perfect. It located in a quiet street closed to Metro and Sol.
Location was the best. Center of everywhere. Staff was very helpful.
The water of shower getting very hot every 30-second and really made it very difficult for us to take a shower.
Excellent location in Sol, in a quiet street. Staff keen to please and rooms a good size and clean. A good choice for seeing Madrid
Good location for exploring Madrid.
Poor service from staff. Rooms not cleaned when we returned at 5 pm. Had to ask for them to be serviced.
good location close to sol station and many attraction points nearby clean room
needs a renovation in the near future
The property is oh so close to the Puerto Del Sol, which is a lively centre that never seems to sleep. The breakfast was very good and the staff very helpful.
Bar prices for mixed drinks were pretty high, given the low retail price of spirits in Spain.
Good Location. Clean and neat room Good air con. and bathroom. Room is comfortable. Wifi is good.
good location, good staff, clean, comfort.
Good hotel in the very heart of Madrid, also very close to Chueca. Perfect for Madrid Gay Pride celebration.
A bit dated, beds and sheets need improvement. Window in room 509 was seriously damaged, and wasn't fixed while we were there.
The big balcony on 4-th floor Good breakfast Good location in the center of Madrid, close to Gran Via
Excellent hotel with respect to its price and superb location. Very good and fresh breakfast. We enjoyed it very much there.
Decoration and location
First day we allocated attic room. Did not good in tetms size. Bumping head while moving. Selection of food in restaurant repetitive on weekly basis
Fay and Fred Norfolk Island
Room was small. Need an update. Towels old and worn Bed linen did not fit properly and had holes in it. Not as clean as the standard should be. Old style TV
it is a clean hotel and it is in a very good location
not all the facilities were in the room
The staff were excellent: very helpful and efficient. Location near Puerta del Sol is great!
Nothing. Even the price for breakfast was worth it.
