This 5-star hotel is located opposite San Sebastian’s Victoria Eugenia Theatre, with views over the Cantabrian Sea and Urumea River. Dating from 1912, it is decorated in classic Belle Époque style with original columns, brocades and chandeliers. Decorated in grey tones, the elegant rooms at the María Cristina Hotel have free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen satellite TV, dark wood furniture and air conditioning. The marble bathroom comes with a separate bath and rain-effect shower, double sink, bathrobe and slippers. They include 200-thread-count bed linens and feather duvets. Guests can enjoy views over the hotel gardens and the River Urumea from the María Cristina. The Kursaal Convention Centre is around 300 metres away. The Easo Restaurant serves international and Basque haute cuisine, while gourmet Chinese options are offered in the Tse Yang Restaurant. From the moment we arrived at the front entry the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We happened to end up with a top floor room with a private deck overlooking the city. The room was exquisite, bed very comfortable and it was quiet. Great nights sleep! Nothing we didn't like :-)

Your concierge (Joana, Gloria and Ane) were extremely helpful - arrange transport from Biarritz and also booked our special dinners and lunches for us. Exceptional service. The rooms were wonderful, clean and luxurious. The following should be added: a coffee maker (kettle etc), small fridge, iron board/iron. Providing guests with a few fruit would have been wonderful.

The surroundings were beautiful. The hotel was luxurious and well decorated. Staff were very attentive and friendly. You were made to feel welcome. Breakfast was delicious. there were two negatives. The only restaurant in the hotel is chinese so it would have been nice if there had been information about local places to eat in the vicinity. Also the hotel ia expensive but well worth it, but was it really neccessary to charge quite a lot of money for use of WiFi? The majority of hotels offer free WiFi these days and it left a bit of a bitter taste on what had otherwise been a very pleasant experience.

Se trata de un hotel de lujo, muy confortable, muy bien situado, con una excelente atención al cliente y con un desayuno que corresponde a las expectativas. El resultado de la reforma , la nueva ubicación de la sala de desayunos y el cobro de servicios, como el aparca coches o el servicio de habitaciones, que deberian estar incluidos en el precio de alojamiento que no es módico.

Los servicios son fantásticos y el personal, inmejorable La decoración. Baste señalar el detalle de los cuadros grandes, bastente malos de calidad, y situados detrás del cabecero de la cama, de forma que no puede verse la parte inferior...

La amabilidad del personal, atentos en cada momento. La localización del hotel es excepcional y su entorno no puede ser mejor. La sala del fitness ha mejorado mucho tras la reforma y el equipamiento es de primera. Las habitaciones han ganado en calidez y los cuartos de baño son más funcionales. Se nota que tras la reforma el hotel se ha quedado corto en el presupuesto ya que no se completado del todo la reforma. Antes había Spa y ahora no. Como es un hotel de lujo como tal se le debe exigir. El personal de limpieza de la mañana es ruidoso y olvidan limpiar algunas zonas de los baños. En una ciudad en donde la gastronomía es tan importante, deberían de cuidar ciertas cosas: pan precocidado, mantequilla vulgar, bombones del montón tras la descubierta de la cama, etc
