Felt breakfast was expensive, with no choice, therefore not to everyone's taste. Other reviewers have mentioned parking. There is a shortage however there is road that runs down the hill at the back of the hotel with plenty of parking. Never felt there were security issues.
Ask for room with mountain view (same view from restaurant). This hotel is ideally situated (across the road from the ancient outside walls of the village of Laguardia) so very easy to explore this gem of a Riojan medieval village. The main village streets have no cars allowed because, as a local told us and showed us, practically every single building has a deep underground cellar and tunnels that date from medieval times. The atmosphere of the village is fantastic as are the restaurants and of course the wine. The hotel is an ideal place to stay to enjoy the Rioja region. The view from this hotel alone is worth staying here. We would use again.
