In the heart of the Latin quarter. 2 minutes from the Plaza Mayor and the Saint Miguel market. Also try out the Cava Baja for great tapas.
Great location! Veel big appartment. Great equipment.
The bed was really hard.
Great location. Walking distance to all major attractions. Anca was very nice and helpful.
Great location, we walked to everywhere we wanted to see in the few days we stayed. Anca was very welcoming and pointed out on a map all the places we might like to visit, along with places to eat and drink. This saved us a lot of hassle trying to find our way around.
Anka communicated to us before our arrival, appartment was ready for us. Appartment was clean, with everything we needed, even washing mashine. Close to everything, quiet at night, so we had good sleep after busy day.
good location, friendly staff
great Location, friendly staff, spacious and very well equipped apartment. Would go there again
WiFi does not cover upstairs bedrooms. Hard to carry suitcases up and down stairs to the bedrooms. Upstairs bedroom needs dark curtains.
Great location. Plenty of space in the apartment. Good arrangement for family with teenagers - much better than hotel rooms (for us!).
Kitchen floor was held down by sticky tape - in one spot it felt like it was caving in. Toilet in master bathroom is badly positioned - have to sit sideways to use it since there's a wall 9 inches from the front of the toilet seat!
Excellent location. Anka was really helpful and friendly.
Convenient location very close to Plaza Mayor and Tapas streets Atmosphereic older building in low traffic side street Walking distance to Palace, Museums, Art Galleries, Atocha Station and markets
Quirky bathrooms and second bedroom Lack of clothes dryer
The location was excellent. We could walk to all the major attractions within 15min. Anca (the building manager) was very helpfull and friendly, she left bottled water for us and everything was very clean.
My husband couldnt stand straight because the second floor had a low roof (so if you are taller than 1.85 you will need to stay on the first floor of the duplex). There was also a small problem with the shower but nothing you cannot live with. Pleaase bring your shampoo if you stay here, everything else is provided by Anca.
Excellent location. Very quiet, despite being so central. Well organised on arrival. Really enjoyable stay.
lovely big apartments in fantastic location.
be warned, the apartments look out onto brick walls.
Excellent location Spacious apartment Well equipped Good decor Well stocked kitchen Would stay there again
Bathrooms abit cramped beds on the firm side for us
Great location for everything yet still quiet. Very roomy. Well equipped. Stunning communal stairwell. Fabulous view from kitchen. Anca was very helpful when we missed our flight and arrangements changed. Highly recommended.
The twin bedroom needs better curtains, our daughter was woken up by the bright morning sun. 3 showers, but one did not have a shower curtain and two had broken shower head holders.
Great central location. Plaza Mayor only a five minutes walk up the road. Dia supermarket just a minute away across the road. The apartment was so quiet eventhough it was located in the central of Madrid. It had everything we needed - air conditioning, kitchen with microwave, coffee machine, fridge/freezer, cooker, oven, dish washer, washing machine etc. Dish washer was useful as we tend to have breakfast (fresh bread and Iberico jamon/ham) in the apartment and we just popped the dishes into the dish washer after we had eaten. Dish washer tablets were provided by Anca, the caretaker. The tapas street, Cava Baja, is only five minutes away. Check out Casa Lucas. Great tapas, beer and wine. Lots of taxis around if you need them. If you happen to be in Madrid during holy week, in the run up to Good Friday, you can catch the processions coming out of San Isidro Church, which is just around the corner from the apartment. Anca, the caretaker, was superb and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.
Apartment was very well appointed - great living space. Excellent location just off of Plaza Mayor.
No views, and building halls were quite dingy. No staff on-site, although staff was available to answer questions and were quite helpful.
Anca met us promptly and was very courteous
The apartment was described as having 2 bathrooms. It actually has one bathroom with a separate tub and shower. Interior apartment has little light from the windows.
Extremely friendly staff spoke excellent English, she let us leave our luggage in the room long before the check-in time, gave us tips on what to do in the neighborhood. The place was really spacious (even for US standards), the kitchen is great (although we mostly ate out), the WIFI worked very well. Location is fabulous. Walking distance to tapa places, local markets, and to most of the major attractions (even the Prada was only 25 min walk).
Floor was a bit dusty (but not dirty). The shower didn't have a shower head and we took showers in the bathtub (which had a shower head) an the sink in the bathroom didn't drain fast. However, the staff member told us to call her if there are any problems and we never did so I can't blame them for not fixing these issues. I'm sure they would have if we asked them but we were too busy enjoying ourselves. Maybe the main issue was that the bathroom was right next to the bedroom and the door was made of glass so not a lot of privacy. Nevertheless, it was overall a great place and we would stay again.
I stayed with 2 friends in the flat for a long weekend. It is excellent value for money compared to a hotel. The flat is very well equipped and very cool and modern. The location is just about perfect and also very close to the tube. There is a cheap supermarket nearby. Catalin, the representative for the hire company is very pleasant and helpful and made us feel very welcome. All in all a fab place to stay but book quickly as we have recommended it to all our friends!
The location is very good. In particular, we liked being near Cava Alta and Baja where there are many good restaurants.
The accommodations are for the budget traveler. We stayed in the "penthouse" which could not be reached by elevator. First we had to get out of the elevator on the fourth floor and then climb a flight of stairs to our apartment. And in the apartment, the bedrooms were up another flight of stairs.
plaza mayor, tapas, lots to see and do,
only tapas to eat
