Hotel Martin    

Clean comfortable, friendly. Close to old town. But expensive for breakfast, which for the price should be included. Altogether a nice place to stay , except for amorous couples. sound proofing is nor good

10 minute walk from Bisagra gate. Good street parking available within 100 yards of hotel. Feed the meter box three euros for 4 hours in the morning (10:00 to 14:00) and the same for the 16:00 to 20:00 the other times and Sundays are free. So, six euros for a days parking is pretty good. The continental breakfast was basic with breads, cold cuts, jellies and toast ( on request). This was a great find for a bargain basement price of 55 euros, including breakfast. The of the four staff people we dealt with spoke very good English.

It is close to busstation and trainstation in Toledo. Good breakfast. The hotel have ascensor (lift).

The showercabin in the bathroom is too small. The level of the cleanliness could be higher (there were some dusty areas in the room). One door from the armour were you store the closes, in the room, doesn't move, it was stuckt. I found two empty cigarettes packages in the recipient for the garbage in the bathroom and one spider in my bed under the pillow.

Location to sights. Short walk to walled city. Excellent location for people traveling with a car. Street parking available- check with hotel staff for hours, meters etc. staying in the walled town would be difficult. Great value for money . Friendly/ helpful staff.

Staff were helpful and courtious. Breakfast was very good.

The helpfulness oft the staff was, as usual, excellent. Our return sailing from Bilbao to Portsmouth was cancelled because of strike action. The two receptionists were so helpful with suggestions on where to stay in France on the way to Calais. Last year's receptionist was on sick leave but when the current receptionist phoned her she actually remembered us staying there in September 2011!

Having been there in 2011 we knew what it was like. This year we received the same friendly treatment by the helpful staff, particularly at reception. It is well situated for getting into the historic part of Toledo.

The parking arrangements are not the best, but we knew this and were prepared for it.

Parking around the hotel is residents only (green zone), and I picked up a ticket :( So be warned. The hotel does have an underground parking area so I perhaps it's the best option.

For price location and facilities , excellent .A very good place to see Toldeo,As it is away from the main tourist area.But a short walking distance from town.Close to bus stops. and more local bars that are cheaper that in main plaza.And you get to see the real Spain it's worth it.

We chose the Hotel Martin because of the location for Old Toledo. The main city wall is only 10 minutes walk away. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke English. We had a triple room which was an apartment in a neighbouring building. The accommodation was clean but basic...as expected for the price. Breakfast was very good for the 6Eu per person. We had a rental car and although there is no hotel parking there is plenty of street parking with pay machines. Parking is free Sat pm and all day Sunday. Hotel Martin was in a quiet and safe area and there was little noise from outside or from other residents,

The hotel is amazing in every sense, the garden, the rooms, decoration, attention to detail, etc. The staff very friendly and willing to help. I would definitely recommend it and if I go back to Merano I would go there for sure.

Very friendly staff. Excellent location; 5 min walk to the bus stop and 5 min bus drive to the city center (Plaza de Zocodover) or 15 to 20 min walk to Plaza de Zocodover. Easy access to the hotel from the highways. Cheap and easy parking on the streets around the hotel (orange lines). Close to restaurants and grocery stores.

The hotel was small and quiet, the staff were very helpful and friendly. We took breakfast at the hotel and apart from the lack of wholemeal bread (just about impossible to get in any hotel / restaurant in Spain) it had something for everyone. It is in a good location for exploring Toledo. Far enough from the centre to be quiet but close enough to walk in to the Cathedral etc (if you are OK with hills - but then if you're not Toledo may not be the place for you!)

The beds were rather hard, but perhaps I am too hard to please as I have rarely stayed in any hotel where the beds weren't too hard for me!!
