Coffee was hit & miss at breakfast, varying immensely from cup to cup, even though the waiter said that it was always the same, from the same machine.
From the moment that we entered the long drive, that winded it's' way through the Olive Groves and Vineyards, we knew that we were arriving somewhere special.
We were greeted very warmly and offered a choice of complimentary drinks, before being escorted to our suite on the top floor - Arbequina (named after one of the types of olives grown on the estate, others are named after grape varieties grown there).
The proportions were HUGE, the wrap around balcony with panoramic views, the lounge/bedroom and the bathroom/shower area.
This was luxury on a grand scale, modern and tastefully done. Electric blinds, sunbeds, tea & coffee making facilities, fridge with free water, this suite had it all - including our favourite 'Bulgari White Tea' toiletries.
We booked a table at the on site restaurant both nights, and were impressed with being escorted there each night, instead of being left to go yourself.
You should really try the food here; it is fantastic, reasonably priced and the Staff are excellent.
We did not have time to try the pool or the sun loungers, but they looked good.
We went on the complimentary Vineyard & Olive Grove Tour run from the on-site shop, which was excellent and informative and ended with tasting of both oils and wines.
We were very sorry to leave, but promised ourselves to return for a relaxing break sometime soon.
