Atmosphere Location Restaurant Service
Beautiful old hotel in grape/olive orchard Tour of the olive factory onsite Good restaurant
Wifi did not work in room for 2 days, finally moved to other room and it worked. No laundry service No spa or massage service Far from anything else
Wonderful accommodation amongst olive grove and truly great dinner from a young and talented chef. Dinner alone is worth the trip.
Hard to locate even with GPS. Almost impossible except for a very kind local who guided us.
Everything! It is a little oasis and the staff is extremely professional and attentive. I wish we had booked more than one night.
Hard to locate, but have we had GPS there would have been no problems.
Five star accomodation Lovely setting Beautiful grounds Superb breakfast We were upgraded to a suite which was even more spacious! We had a fantastic evening meal and were allowed their daytime fixed price menu which was even better value
Lot of biting insects
rooms, the grounds, attentive staff
no dvd player as promised in room, difficult to find even with sat nav
Got lost tring to find the hotel!!!
Staff is very friendly. Rooms are spacious and the grounds are beautiful. The food in the restaurant is fresh and location to eat is great.
Swimmingpool, small and not to appealling.
Our garden suite was enormous and was truly 5 star
The evening meal was a disaster my steak was so tough I had to send it back My wife had squid with black rice it was far too heavy and rich, she was not well afterwards In fairnessy steak was deducted from the bill Lack of choice and expensive
From the moment that we entered the long drive, that winded it's' way through the Olive Groves and Vineyards, we knew that we were arriving somewhere special. We were greeted very warmly and offered a choice of complimentary drinks, before being escorted to our suite on the top floor - Arbequina (named after one of the types of olives grown on the estate, others are named after grape varieties grown there). The proportions were HUGE, the wrap around balcony with panoramic views, the lounge/bedroom and the bathroom/shower area. This was luxury on a grand scale, modern and tastefully done. Electric blinds, sunbeds, tea & coffee making facilities, fridge with free water, this suite had it all - including our favourite 'Bulgari White Tea' toiletries. We booked a table at the on site restaurant both nights, and were impressed with being escorted there each night, instead of being left to go yourself. You should really try the food here; it is fantastic, reasonably priced and the Staff are excellent. We did not have time to try the pool or the sun loungers, but they looked good. We went on the complimentary Vineyard & Olive Grove Tour run from the on-site shop, which was excellent and informative and ended with tasting of both oils and wines. We were very sorry to leave, but promised ourselves to return for a relaxing break sometime soon.
Coffee was hit & miss at breakfast, varying immensely from cup to cup, even though the waiter said that it was always the same, from the same machine.
The rooms were spacious, the staff were excellent and extremely helpful, the surroundings both inside and outside were tasteful.
It was a difficult place to find. We spent a bit of time going to dead end places before we rang up to get directions.
Very Hard to find need to update the instructions and GPS
Wonderful hotel, beautiful surroundings, nicely decorated, fantastic food and wine!
The sunbeds at the pool are not very comfortable. During lunch and dinner the staff comes across very rushed.
Beautiful hotel, very relaxing
Quality of accommodation The grounds Comfortable bed Helpful staff
great style, generous sized rooms, great shower, goo mattress and choice of pillows. restaurant very good.
finding it without gps would be tough
The whole ambience was very relaxing. The restaurant was excellent with great food and wine.
The swimming pool was very badly kept .. Staff didn't speak good English .. So communication was difficult.. The beds were not very comfortable.
This is a well appointed hotel, however we went out of season and felt it was too isolated and lacking in atmosphere
The restaurant is overly expensive and the wifi did not work. Staff seemed distracted due to the very low occupancy of the hotel. We would not return.
everything was excellent as usual ,restaurant was outstanding, hospitality great, they can´t do enough for you.
they don´t accept Amex
Small inn in 100 hectares Olive grove. Old buildings with character. Good bedding, showers and breakfast, large standard rooms. Great potential but not run by pros. Good upscale breakfast.
Poor directions to find it, very remote so dinner choice limited to own pretentious restaurant. They were out of 2/4 meat choices at opening. No service before 8:30 pm, my husband took the menu at 40e, and I a la carte. They mis- billed us for his more expensive first course, a la carte which was part of his menu. Only 6 extra e, but bad way to do business. Dinning room was extremely quiet with only 2 couples (now we know why). Food was very pretentious, very small appetizers, heavy entrees and no vegetables. 2 over-attentive staff for 2 tables pouring wine every 2 seconds. At reception, one of the ladies did not really speak English or French. The way from the parking is not paved so you have to drag your cases in gravel. Pool was not maintained.no hot-tub. Bar is in reception, so receptionist get us drinks while shouting directions to phone as if we were not there. They have no lemon on hand, nor ice, so she has to run to the kitchen across the yard while talking and talking.... The whole place is too deserted to feel comfortable. One should know that there was not tub, only a shower which we liked but at that price might be a surprise.
