Medplaya Aparthotel Esmeraldas  

We stayed at the Esmeraldas in a family room as four adults and we found the room was very good and clean, maybe a little dated. One night we had very noisey neighbours about 4.30 am but apart from that night we found that the Esmeraldas was really a good hotel to stay in. Staff were very helpfull and friendly. The food was excellant, breakfasts were brilliant, loads of choice and evening dinner was the best choice, with so many choices to choose from. We thought the food was as good as a four star hotel. A very relaxed atmospere all round and we would definately go there again.

Could do with some sunbed cushions, pool was a tad smaller than we thought it would be from the photo on the internet.

Pool and rather close to the beach

Kitchen facilities. TV-facilities. Too hard beds.

There is a good choice for you if the seaview is not very important. Not great hotel, but kitchen and bathroom are convenient, there is big balcony where you can take breakfast or dinner. Also there is a restaurant opening at 8 A.M. Staff was not very hospitable, but tried to help if necessary. Hotel's parking is expensive but we always could find a place near (Lope Mateo street). There is just several minutes from the beach, also there are two supermarkets near. Heard some party with animation one night from the hall but didn't take part in it.

Location - far from noisy tourist's promenades, cafes and bars, but in the same time close to the beach, park, bus station and grocery stores.

Weak door and poor soundproofing in general. Absence of bedside-tables and night-lamps. Only liquid soap in the bathroom (no shampoo, no solid soap), inconvenient fixed shower.

Excellent staff. Always eager to assist and friendly.

The Hotel has very good location for my opinion (for family stay with small kid). It is located practically in residental area. You are living like a common citizen. Ghildren's playground is situated by neer. The nearest streets are very calm. We were very pleased by the food on breakfast and supper and the atmosphere of the restaurant. Also kitchen in the room is very convenient.

Att det var rent, städning var dag med handduksbyte. Bemötandet.

Killen i receptionen ville inte hjälpa oss med taxibeställningen för att det var "fel taxibolag" det kändes sniket och småaktigt.

Plassering av balkong. Så soloppgangen og solnedgangen, hadde utsikt til basseng med grøntanlegg og litt av byen.

Heisene var ekstremt små! Bare flaks at barnevogna (Quinni M. 3 hjul) fikk plass inne I heisen, og det var kun fordi håndtaket på vogna kunne slås helt ned. Måtte ta av stellebag for å få plass, og kun en person fikk plass I tillegg til vogn (hvis man presset seg inn sidelengs og lente seg over vogna).Sengene var forferdelige. Gamle madrasser med ødelagte fjærer. Badene var ikke så bra. Kranen I dusjen var ødelagt og det var dårlig utlufting/ ingen vifte. Dårlig plass på badet mht stell av spebarn. Ikke noe utstyr for å vaske opp på kjøkkenet. Måtte kjøpe kluter, oppvaskbørste og såpe selv. Ganske gammelt og slitt kjøkken. Dårlig planløsning på stue og ekstremt liten tv. Litt trist sted å oppholde seg etter at barn har lagt seg... Men balkongen reddet kveldene for der var det koselig å sitte (iallfall for 2, fler hadde nok blitt litt trangt)! Ps: vi hadde rom vendt mot bassenget.

Personnel sympa

Vieux batiment - chambre vétuste - buffet moins que moyen. Insonorisation des chambres.

Chambre correcte, propre personnel aimable surtout à la restauration piscine propre mais un peu petite bon rapport qualité/prix petit déjeuner correct vraiment un deux étoiles.

La restauration, entrée trop basique et plat répétitif , on ne sait pas trop ce que l'on mange, pas assez d'information sur les plats présentés. Dessert inexistant. Dans l'ensemble pas très bon, je ne recommande pas cet hôtel en demi-pension mais seulement en apart'hotel.
