Excellent location and good size family room.
Very close to main train station atocha. Big building with huge name sign on top. Easy to find it once you are out from train station. Check-in and check out was fast. Room big enough for me. Not traveling with any luggage. Small bath tub. Overall everything is OK. I didn't have much time to compare it with other hotels at time of booking. Price and location both matched my requirements so booked at first sight.
Inside building especially lifts and alleys are dark and very old style. If you have some kind of mania then may feel scared. People in Europe may like vintage style but I am from modern city Hong Kong. No complaints though.
Excellent location for getting to and from the Atocha train station. It is directly across the street, and this was quite convenient.
Mainly that the walls were paper thin. I literally could hear every word said in the room next door. The breakfast room attendant was also unfriendly and unhelpful, but perhaps she just was having a bad day.
great location nice staff
It location and the staff
Most of the time there was no WiFi available. The central heather was setup to high.
If you want to be near the gallery or park then this is a great location, very close to metro. Clean but getting dated
Great location opposite Main railway station.Free wifi.Good value for money and fridge in room.
Decor a bit old fashioned.
Location is excellent Price is good for that area and hotel size Nice bathroom in the room
Rooms are a bit basic but comfortable enough
Location is perfect, in front of Atocha train station. Nice and clean room.
Old buliding but the hotel is very well located
Amazing location, great balcony and view from the balcony
just a few steps to the Modern Art Museum and 10 min to the Prado
Near the station, a lot of restaurants close to the hotel
The staff at the reception was very rude. We had almost to apologize to disturb him (from watching silly youtube clips) when checking out and paying the bill. He was very annoyed when we wanted to pay by credit card.
I could see the well-lit sign from the train station. Subway was located nearby, but almost all tourist attractions were easily walkable.
Some noisy young people were in the room next door to ours the second night.
the location across the Madrid Atocha metro and regional train station and the museums particularly Reina Sofia just beside the hotel. Easy check in and check out and allowed early check in. Free internet too Didn't try the breakfast though Our bed is comfortable and good heater during winter with AC ready too for summer Very clean
the furniture is outdated as well as the elevator is tiny and old
Location: 30 seconds walk from Atocha Metro station--a line that connects you in 2-3 stops to central Madrid (Sol and Gran Via). You can easily have your meals around the hotel. Staff: are extremely helpful: Raul and Laba were excellent, and others as well. I guess it's a good value for money, this hotel.
We were unlucky with WIFI in our room 536.
The location, can't be beat if you're traveling to or from Atocha station. Super friendly and helpful staff. Close to a variety of places to eat.
Rooms facing the main road will be VERY noisy. Prepare some earplugs. We were on the 3rd floor and could barely sleep due to traffic, sirens, horns honking, etc.
Perfect spot to rest in the middle of Madrid, connected to every mayor attraction.
They were not able to prepare and print out my bill in the morning for longer than 15 minutes, although I was the only guest there. When I complained that I will miss my flight, the receptionist told me " It is your problem". This behaviour is unacceptable!
The location is just perfect for the Art Triangle, restaurants and bars and Atocha train station. The room was comfortable and the bathroom clean though dated. The staff were lovely and spoke perfect English. The lobby was beautiful and it was a beautiful old building. I would recommend for short to medium length stays.
We struggled to turn off or even down the heating so our room was uncomfortably warm. This could just be that we don't have radiators in Australia as it just doesn't get cold enough for us to need them! It may be time for a renovation but that would probably push the price up which is a steal if booked through booking.com for such an amazing location.
Near train station, easy access, frendly personel
Takes sometime (about 5 minutes) until the hot water came out
The bed wasn't comfortable.
Surprisingly quiet for such a large hotel at this location.
