Perfect central location, a short walk away from Prado & Reina Sofia museums, airport shuttle bus and Atocha station. Lots of cafes around. Excellent staff, Alejandro is a valuable asset to the hotel. Rooms are tiny but clean and nice.
Aircon was not powerful enough
Well located and friendly staff. They made easier my plans fir visits and dining.
A bit confusing to find the name of hotel during day time. At night, you can see the lighted sign far away.
Pricing and location. Pricing is hard to beat, but you very much get what you pay for. Location is also excellent. You're within walking distance of the Atocha train and metro stations, airport bus, right next door to Reina Sofia museum, etc.
Room size, cleanliness. The bathroom had a moldy smell that I think came from the shower curtain - it's a plastic curtain that has probably not been replaced in a long time. Also, the bed was tiny. I'm not hugely tall - about 6ft or 181 cms - but my feet were kind of hanging outside the bed.
Good price, and located right across from the rail station.
Requested a room facing the patio, but was given a room facing the street. Extremely noisy...not recommended.
Situated immediately next to the Atocha railway station (5 min.walking), from where you can easily get to the airport, too. Quite old building, but confortable rooms as a transit point between 2 trips.
location, just a few steps from Atocha, quite room, strong wifi, nice staff, quick lift
old decor, very expensive breakfast
The Location was Great, the staff were very friendly, every thing was in walking distance and the train station was across the road which meant that you could get to anywhere in the City on the Metro.
The room was a bit plan & simple. No Coffee or Tea Making Facilities in the room.
Dated, tired, low budget, both wifi and power on and off in the room, Sorry to say ut this is a 1.5 star hotel. Much better options within two blocks.
Location, friendly staff, aircon was working.
Room was small.
Across road from Atocha Station. Perfect for travellers arriving by air (airport bus stop) or train. Hotel is better than it looks on web. Bargain!
Beautifull building, excellent location... Everything was ok
the location since I was on my way to a school in Salamanca. The location is great close to museums and in walking distance from most places of interesst.
a very dark room to a backyard, where the wall was filled with the outdoor parts of aircondition, making the wall tremble and quite noisy due to that
The location was great to get around in and staff was very friendly and helpful.
Al most everything.
Centrally located, inexpensive,
Basic amenities, wi-Fi was erratic
Excellent location. Grt value for money. Staff v friendly. ...
The coffee and tea at breakfast.... Otherwise breakfast ok
Proximity to Atocha train Station, shops and restaurants
Staff. Location. Services. Cleanliness
The young, day staff was excellent, friendly, and helpful. The rooms facing the Reina Sofia are quiet in the evening and have a small balcony. The location is excellent for the Atocha station, airport express bus, and metro lines. It is close to the Prado, Thyssen, and Reina museums as well as the Retiro. It is only about a 20 minute walk to the Puerto del Sol and Plaza Mayor, and 15 minute walk to the Gran Villa. The room had a refrigerator.
The evening staff was responsive but rather stoic and grumpy. The bed was comfortable but maybe a bit stiff for some (I slept well.) Complimentary coffee in the morning would be a nice touch.
in front of the railway station Atocha 200 minutes walk to the Playa Major
very noizy from outside and inside Choose a room from the rear or inside the hotel
This place was in an okay location and the outside is much nicer than the inside. It had a weird stuffy smell and the window shutters were chained together...?... No idea why but getting fresh air into the room was sooo hard as a result. The room itself was nothing special and felt like a prison cell - no sunlight. I am a no frills traveler and stayed at a 2nd hotel in Madrid for the same, if not slightly cheaper price, and loved it so this was not a bias review.
The hotel is just located at the opposite side of a little plaza which near the Atocha station. Great location.
The location was very convenient for everything we wanted to do. The breakfast room was lovely and we had all we wanted.
Close to Atocha station and scenery in Madrid. Walking distance every where
Closed to the Main train station.
Room facing the street and noisy.
