It was in a very good location near to restaurants beach marina and in the old square of the town. However the rooms were not good for storage space and although we upgraded to a better room the balcony furniture was very battered and it was only average for the price etc. The main drawback was the noise at night for the area attracted all types of heavy drinkers and the noise was very loud - at best until 2.30 am and on the Saturday night all night, even at 6 am. For this reason we would not stay there again. I appreciate that Alicante has to provide a balance but there was no control over the very rowdy late night drinkers. Also the hotel not having a bar or lounge facilities could be a disadvantage if the weather was poor and although there were three cafe/restaurants outside the hotel this could be a problem in poor weather. Just the noise and the lack of hotel facilities.

The hotel was in a very good position overlooking the main square and in very close proximity to both the beach and the marina.

Ideally located being close to the beach, marina, shopping, historic buildings, bars & restaurants. Good choice of buffet breakfast to set you up for the day and plenty of space in the room. Friendly, helpful staff.

The Eurostars Mediterranea Plaza is situated in a fantastic location for exploring the city, eating out, or visiting the beach and marina. Easy access to the train system for the whole of the Alicante and Benidorm coasts is a 2 minute walk away. Our room had a small balcony that overlooked the main city hall square. The hotel is clean, comfortable and more than I expected for the price that we paid.

Unique location in the old town centre yet only 3 minutes walk to the beach and surrounded by tapas restaurants and bars. Room quality is good also and prices reasonable.

The hotel is a short walk (7 minutes) to the beach. Really really close. This is the best feature of the hotel. The rooms were okay, the breakfast good, but it pays to stay close to the water. The beds weren't too comfortable and the hotel staff was not too friendly or helpful.

The two ladies who greeted us at reception were really lovely although the night porter was most abrupt/rude. Although the room was lovely and large we had to open the window as there was no Air Conditioning so we were woken several times by late night revellers. The bed was large, although quite hard and uncomfortable. We did not try breakfast, preferring to go out and sample breakfast elsewhere. That said, the hotel was reasonably priced (we had triple room) and the location was excellent and we would consider staying there again in the future although I'm not sure whether we'd want to stay in the height of summer with no AC.

I have used this hotel on many occasions and have never been disappointed with the standards or service provided by the staff. The location is ideal for access to the many bars and restaurants at the port and also close to the beach and main centre shopping areas. It would be hard to find anything wrong with this hotel, the only downside would be the cost of using hotel parking at 16 Euros per day, but this is generally the norm with Spanish hotels that offer parking facilities. The good point is that you can use the car park at the beach, barely 5 minutes walk from the hotel and costs less than 3 Euros per day, you just have to change the parking ticket after lunch at 2 pm.

Perfect location close to everything you expect to see in Alicante. Very friendly and efficient staff. Free Wi-Fi in the room. A hotel whithout lobby can hardly be in four star category. Doubble room with only one (!) chair. No separate towels for the bidet. We had a small room overlooking the nice plaza - I guess that the rooms facing the small street must be dull and depressing. The rather plain breakfast becomes monotonous after three days - we stayed nine! Generally - not more than 3 stars!

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was excellent, as were the views from the terrace. The quality of breakfast was very good and there was a good selection of items. The only problem with the hotel was the "gym". It is just a couple of pieces of equipment. We specifically chose this hotel because it advertised itself as having a gym and we were very disappointed.
