Medplaya Rio Park  

been going to the rio 31 years i think that say's it all.

Turned up to be told our rooms that were reserved 3 months prier to staying had been given to someone else. Would never stay here or recommend this hotel to anyone.

I thought it was excellent value for money, the staff were lovely, the rooms were clean and adequate. There was a good selection of food and the pool area was really nice. I will be staying there again.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like.

The Hotel is great value for money with lots going on and in a great location but the thing that concerned me was that many people in the hotel as well as myself had heard of not only passers by but people who was staying at the Hotel or one of the Hotels near by had been attacked or mugged by robbers on motor bykes and mopeds and also prostitutes working close by in the walkways between the Hotels that not only puts people off coming to you again but also brings the area down. I think the police should be aware of this and maybe some more lights and cameras installed that can be watched by the staff on the desk at any time which can then be advertised by yourselves to let your customers know that there safety is your first priority which is very important. I have had Hotels of my own and I have also worked security for many years for other establishments in the past so i feel this is very important. Apart from this I think your Hotel is one of the best we have stayed in whilst in Benidorm and with living in Spain for 15 years now we visit Benidorm regular and was impressed with the value for money. Excellent breakfast. Full range.

Too many grossly obese tattoed British people.

Not in a bad location. Lots of facilities including entertainment but we did not stay in the hotel during an evening. Price of drinks was reasonable compared to other bars. Lots of choice with food and everything was hot. Dining room was never crowded during our stay. Reception very helpful.

Nothing we did not like but our room - especially the bathroom was rather tired looking and could do with a refurbish but for the price we paid,we were happy with everything.

Friendly atmosphere,good food,good service and outstanding value.

The fact is we stayed there for Christmas two years ago and loved every minute. The only downside is that the buffet food is only warm not hot and the Chistmas dinner did not have roast potatoes or stuffing, the turkey roll was disgusting in taste with very little turkey and too much ( I think some sort of stuffing) with a sauce that was that tasted like!!!!!!!!!! Well.....horrible. The down side is that the meal was the same as two years ago, why? The hotel and staff are great and we would love to come back, even though you have lost a star, but I would not recommend it for its Chrismas Dinner. Sorry

The rio park was located in a good position for all ages 5 min walk from the busy night life and a 15 min walk to the old town.the hotel was clean and I was very impressed with all the facilities.the food was very good and in my opinion it had an excellent variety.i would not hesitate to go back.

The staff were very friendly, and the location is very good as it's location is within walking distance to most of the shops bars etc... in Benidorm.

We have stayed at the Rio Park on a few other occasions, but found that on this occasion we only recieved bed and breakfast for a price which was very inflated, normally we have half board for sometimes less than what we paid this time. We did eat in the hotel the first night and paid 8 euros, which was very reasonable, but were very dissapointed that there was no meat[except chicken] or cold meat for a salad.

Spacious pool area plus the good amount of sitting areas in and around the Hotel.
