Melia Benidorm    

love the atmosphere at Benidorm, my first visit. We went to see the show at the Palace, which was such good value for money. Melia hotel extremely nice and very good value for money. would love to revisit. Beaches are a credit to your council.

I did not like to see the group of young men and women who seemed to be permanently drunk this I found very intimidating. Their dress was totally unappropriate and the language very bad when there are young children about. Benidorm is exceptionally clean shop keepers are all extremely helpful, Please keep the mobility scooters to separate lanes... nearly got run over several times, or give the drivers a test ...... Apart from the above. Benidorm is what it is.

Nice clean hotel buyt I only stayed one night and didn´t use any of the facilities or the restaurant so cannot comment further. I stayed here oncew before over a year ago and was very happy with everything then.

There was nothing I didn´t like but only short stay.

Pool area, breakfast

We were there for the elvis festival. Staff were great but ridiculous to say people couldn't take their drinks into the floorshow. It was resolved in the end

Huge reception area, nice ambience as you walk in, but would help to have a sign as to where the reception desk is. Lots of facilities, indoor and outdoor pool, nice breakfast, lovely grounds, light and airy rooms.

The fact that it was our 46th wedding anniversary and we had booked a double bed. Instead of telling us they had non available as all taken (even though we had booked two months ahead) they lied and said we would have to pay an additional £25 to upgrade to a double bed.

Gala evening was quite good,very attentive staff, good atmosphere,but food could have been better,not value for money.stayed last three years at Flamingo Oasis...they know how to put a great gala evening on!

The dining room was dark and dismal,poor furnishings..no table clothes, just dirty looking place mats, that were just turned over for next guest to use,not very higenic at all, food not up to scratch for 4 star hotel, had far better at the Flamingo Oasis next door, at no where near the all inclusive cost of the melia, was not very impressed,not good value for money!

The staff were very friendly. I loved the design of the hotel. It looked very chic.

Nice hotel with good location and facilities

We have stayed at the Melia Benidorm several times and althought the hotel is generally very nice, I must say that I never cease to be amazed at the length of time it takes to check in at this hotel. It took the receptionist approximately 15 minutes minimum to check in each couple in our party. This has happened every time we have stayed at the Melia. Surely a computerised check in system should be able to speed up check ins. When we left a bus load of people had arrived. I bet some of them are still waiting to check in now a day later! Come on Melia. Get your finger out or loose customers. Me for one.

I found the reception staff great. Food Good. BEds a bit hard. Room clean. Quite. Gardens beautiful.

The grounds of the hotel outside pool area are beautiful and have a most relaxing setting. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the reception area is very impressive. The bedroom and bathroom were stylishly appointed and were a good size and the linen and bathroom towels supplied were clean. The dining area was spacious and there was plenty of choice of food. The 'Show' cooking was of a high standard.

The photos of the hotel dining room on Booking.com show white tablecloths and napkins. Instead of this, tables were just set out with place mats which was disappointing, as I had booked this hotel for a special birthday celebration! I did not like the way guests were allowed to place towels on the sunbeds around the pool area for hours and not use the sunbeds. Many hotels nowadays operate a system whereby staff remove towels from the sunbeds if the sunbeds are not in use after 15 minutes. I think it's time the Hotel Melia photos were updated as flat screen TV's are now in the rooms and these are not shown in the photos either.

Our balcony light did not work, we reported it, a guy came to mend it, but that night it still did not work

i found in the inet opinion that kids animation in benidorm is the best in melia, now i now that it is far-far-away from the truth - even in 2 or 3star hotels my friend with their children were staing were games and discos or else for kids, and in melia animation gave a list of paper with pencils for my daugter and told us that it is nothing else for children at september. i would never comme again with my children to melia and i would strongly recomended not to come there to my friends with children. otherwise i think that for adults melia gets everything for good vacation.

They need to review the policy on the sunbeds around the pool, towels where on the sunbeds, whilst people then went for breakfast or out for the morning, the trees in the grounds block the sun, so limits the amount of beds in the sun. Hence this problem I cannot comment on the pool or entertainment as we had to go to the beach everyday.

I loved the pool,the jacuzzi and indoor pool.loved the views from my room.

I absolutely hated the food,I was not the only one as every single person I spoke to said the same,to put it in pictures I would say that my dog eats better food than the food that is served at this buffet,neither breakfast or dinner,it was disgusting and I really was looking forward to the food.for A 4 star I cant understand how the quality of the food can be so poor.

good service,very clean, brilliant swimming pool about a 15 minute walk to the main square of nightlife. would definately stay here again

Beds were hard bar closes at 1.00am

The location and being 4 star accomadation l expected it to be good. On the surface this seemed ideal but looking closer it was dissapointing.

The quality of the food was very poor and extremely expensive, the dinner was buffet service and when we went back to get the next course the table had been cleared and reset. Lt was very expensive only catered for all inclusive and full board clients.. Breakfast was a free for all.
