Absolut luksushotel med fantastisk beliggenhed. Vi valgte at betale ekstra for værelse med udsigt og vi fik et helt fantastisk værelse med en helt enestående udsigt. Dyrt men alle pengene værd.

Relaxation in comfortable surroundings

The variety of snacks at the bar could be more comprehensive as not everyone likes a full meal in the middle of the day

The staff was very kind and nice. Also the pool area was charming.

The restaurant in the 2nd floor (on the right) was completely miserable. First, as a starter there was asparagus, which was canned (late April!!). The main course, the tenderloin was burnt. The service was poor, we had to wait for the wine to be poured, long after the meat was served.The wine glasses were of wrong size and shape for red wine. Later we got our brandy only after we had finished our coffee.

The hotel has excellent food.

Location near to old Spanish village,not too commercialised,comfortable hotel reasonable tarif.Late breakfast with good selection.

Having to pay for use of indoor pool and sauna etc - wasn't informed in advance. Gym was outdated - the equipment resembled a 90's gymnasium

Friendliness of the staff, good service!

The hotel it was very good,empty this time of year so hard to say if it would be better.yes if busy the restaurants would have been open and you would have choice.

Two restaurants only one was closed,so just the one we were told two menus but it was a meal of the day and was not priced on the menus and it worked out expensive. We did complain.but the food was good. I think it was because it was very not busy.

we only stayed one night but reception was very welcoming sheila was very helpful !! the hotel was good rooms lovely and comfy

the only thing i didnt like was the fact that there was not a kettle and coffee and tea in room this goes a long way and we are use to that in uk and we feel its a nice gesture and felt the price of coffee in room service was a bit high

The staff,friendly and efficient,spacious and comfortable rooms,excellent pool areas.The hotel is elegant but comfortable,we shall definitely be returning soon.

We found nothing to dislike

The location for us was good - we wanted to visit friends & places nearby - We had stayed here several times before

We thought the standards had dropped - the carpet runners in the corridor were very dirty. The tables for breakfast were not always laid with cutlery & condiments - upon asking for a fork I was shown to where they were stored - however I would have expected to have a fork brought to me

The luxury room, the beautiful gardens, the pool area, the general feel of luxury everywhere . It was also an advantage going in September as the pool area always had lots of seating in the shade as well as the sun. Our room was always clean and bedding and towels changed frequently.

The only critisim was on arriving we were told where the restaurant was and given our room etc, but nothing about the train which is only ten minutes away if that. We had done our homework regarding the area and knew about the train, which we used everyday. Can only presume the hotel thinks everyone comes in a car.

The staff from the Management to the waiters, cleaners, pool attendant, reception were always smiling, extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The facilites were excellent, the breakfasts were everything you could think of. The restaurants gave a wide choice of meals from a la carte to buffet.At night the hotel was quiet and generally the relaxed atmostphere made it a memorable and pleasurable stay and good value for money. Would go back again like we did this year.

Very comfortable, clean hotel with friendly helpful staff.

Our room was very comfortable, with a nice seating area and balcony and clean bathroom with large shower. Buffet breakfast was great and keeps you going for the day! Nice pool facilities and the hotel is close to the beach!

To get to Altea centre, possibly to go to a restaurant or some shop, you do need a car or transport of some sort, unless you're ready for a longish walk. Of course, the hotel has its own restaurants... Wifi internet access is at a charge. No idea how much it is but personally, I consider internet access a basic service this day and age - much like the bed or bathroom.

Staff and rooms were excellent.

Where do we start? Booked the alacarte restaurant for two nights. First night good, Rack of Lamb perfect, nice wine. Second night arrived to be told we had not booked - argument ensued - finally admitted and the Rack of Lamb was terrible, completely overcooked and the wine from the list was not available. Sack the Chef! Prices very high - supermarket Pate for 18 euros with supermarket mini-toast. Unforgiveable. Shallow pool was infested with black algae. Deep pool hazy, check Ph and Chlorine levels. Blow up toys, beachballs and diving allowed against the published rules. Beds booked from 0800 around the pool. After dinner went for a quiet drink, so we thought! Onle two venues are open, the Cocktail Bar and its Patio. Karaoke was outside and Football on tv was inside - I suggest the Manager is also sacked. A lovely hotel spoilt by incompetence and stupidity.

We loved our stay at SH Villa Gadea, our junior suite was spacious and comfortable, the pool area was fantastic and our two daughters spent the whole stay in the pool. The food in the pool side restaurant was of a very high standard and we all enjoyed our lunch and would definately eat there again. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We would definately stay at the SH Villa Gadea again and would be happy to recommend it to our friends.
