Very good,
Score from 838 reviews
“Great location situated between the beach and the marina. Ideally placed for visiting the old town and castle areas of the city. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. No noise problems and public car parking underneath the hotel building. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was extensive and of high quality.”

Location was excellent The 4 star rating is overrated and the representation of the room on the booking page is grossly misleading

Location very convenient to beach, city centre, and rail station. Breakfast excellent. More coffee making facilities would help. No information in room ,or elsewhere, regarding leisure facilities in hotel. Reception staff mostly unfriendly. No garden in hotel to relax and enjoy views.

Unrivalled position in town, with sea view from the room. It's out on a promontory so you are not bothered by noise from the town. But you are 3 mins walk from the Promenade and the Old Town so everything is on hand. Hotel itself is super clean, modern and typical 4 star.Recommended.

Location ideal and plenty of space for residents. Bus stop to airport very convenient as was the beach, marina and all the lovely amenities of Alicante Not much but surprised there were no tissues supplied in the bathroom which was otherwise very well equipped. Also, housekeeping seemed to start early, particularly for those on holidays and the noise of vacuuming and talking was a bit of a disturbance - maybe only on floor 5?

I like being on The Level - it is nice to feel you are part of a small hotel with the installations of big one. The views over the sea are great and the staff warm and friendly.

The location is just wonderful! We had a room that overlooked the sea and it was so lovely. It was also easy to walk to old town and all the restaurants. We ate at the hotel's restaurant one night but were not impressed. Service was great though. Breakfast every morning was very nice. The biggest disappointment at the hotel was the indoor pool. You had to pay 10 euros per person per day to get in. So that was another 40 euros for everyday of stay. The pool was small so we skipped it. Also they advertise a Kids Club which is not true, they don't have one. This was another reason why we had booked this particular hotel and not the Spa Maris next door.

From the moment we entered the hotel we were treated as special guests. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.. all this plus a fantastic location and superb breakfast makes us want to go back. A typical British thing but no coffee/tea making facilities!

Fantastic location between marina and beach. Also airport bus stops at the hotel and costs only 2.70euros. A short walk takes you into the centre for shops and restaurants. It is a large hotel but service is helpful, efficient yet not obtrusive. All rooms seem to have a balcony and would be very pleasant in warmer times. One of the beds had not had the sheets changed but no fewer than 3 maids came to do the job.Can not suggest taking the breakfast at a ridiculous 21 euros

We have stayed at the Melia Alicante before and found it a very nice hotel, reception staff extremely helpful and very friendly. Was disappointed that there was no car parking facility at the hotel, this worked out quite expensive for the couple of days we were there.

The location was great. Overlooking the beach or harbour depending on room choice and a short walk to the centre of the city. It seems to be aimed at the business traveller with prices (bar and restaurant) to match. However, you don't need to eat or drink there as the city's bars and restaurants are a short walk away. We were supposedly upgraded for free but the room was pretty average so I don't know what we would have got without the upgrade. Couple of minor issues were the room safe was shut on arrival so not useable and the doorhandle to the balcony fell off when I tried to close it last thing at night. Both issues were sorted quickly by a friendly reception.
