The hotel was wonderful and you can't beat the location. Definitely try and get a room with a view of the cathedral, it's probably the best view you'll ever have from a hotel room. The breakfast was quite good by Spanish standards (they don't seem big on breakfast) and the dining area has great big windows overlooking the cathedral which makes for a wonderful place to start the day. Highly recommended.

Great location, lovely view over the cathedral in Burgos. I have stayed here before and love the interior and the history of the place. Very good breakfast but expensive at 10 euro.

The location is great and the room we had a wonderful view of the Cathedral and Plaza in front. Our car was safely parked in the hotels underground car park and the hotel staff were on hand to help me park the car. In keeping with most hotels in Spain, the pillows were not very comfortable. Some hotels offer a choice. I think in future we will take a couple of our pillows.

We needed a hotel in Porto reasonable close to the "old city". This wonderful "Castle", is typical of the Portugese architecture of the beginning of the century. It is a beautiful old house, with wonderful gardens, and the tiled exterior, and incredible antique furnishings and fittings really have the "Wow" factor. The rooms are very comfortable, the main castle also has rooms and there are rooms that open onto the garden. Inside the castle the breakfast room, and guest lounge are really something. The staff are very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome even our pooch. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk down to the "old city", Ribeira next to the friver and there are many wonderful sights to see there.(Take a river cruise!!). Walking back up the hill after a big day can be a bit slower, but really no problem, there are plenty of wonderful shops to explore as well. There is parking on site and many very good local restaurants nearby. We left our car at the hotel and did everything on foot, and in a city the size of Porto, that is wonderful. A very good and well run property and oozes charm and atmosphere.

Situated a just few metres from the Cathedral and a two minute walk to all parts of the old town we found this hotel to be perfect in every way. Very clean and very warm with a good shower room and lashings of hot water. Breakfast was good and the attendant was very helpful. Our bedroom window overlooked the Cathedral which was very romantic.

It was dog-friendly, well signposted and easy to find, with secure parking. Our room was warm and comfortable. The hotel was so central that it was a delight to walk through the streets/see the cathedral,museums of Burgos. The reception staff were very helpful. It was a shame that there was no bar service at the hotel the night we were there- the little bar area was so pleasant. However the nice lady agreed to make us a cup of tea which we really appreciated.

The location was unbeatable - overlooking the Cathedral. The restaurant was very good and the accomodations were excellent. Getting into and out of the parking garage was a challenge. It was confusing to find both when we arrived and when we left. Thank goodness the staff helped!

The hotel was central with fantastic view of the cathedral so close that I glad they don't ring the bells anymore! Car park was close by so we didn't have to lug cases miles. All in all a fantastic hotel. Nothing negative as we only stayed 1night. Wifi didn't reach to our room but that's all!
