tiny rooms, plastic shower door, dark hallways
there wasn·t anything we didn·t like about our stay and have recommended this hotel to our friends.
Sound-proof and clean rooms, good location.
There are some stairs before you get to the elevator. For older and disabled people this can be a problem.
Excellent city location just at Placa de Ana.
Hotel room Safe cost 1€ per close/opening. Room with view of inneryard had strange water rinning noise whole night.
Location a d staff
Poor rooms, small tv, bad insulation, too expensive
Location of this hotel is excellent Staff are very helpful and friendly Hotel was clean
Breakfast very basic No soundproofing between rooms so exceptionally noisy - no sleep Room very small Basic room (but clean) Wifi hopeless - had to sit on the stairs outside room if I wanted to get online
Excellent location, very helpful staff, adequate room.
The wifi signal can be very weak in some rooms. Make sure you get a room with a strong signal if you intend to work during your stay.
the only good fact about that hotel is it's location very close to center
this hotel can be hardly define as hotel no lubby. poor elevator very old. tinny rooms people are sent to the next bulding to share breakfast. our rooms had a view to a central inner yard which is full with junk wreck and a like. very possible that mouse are there too
Very close to the Prado and other museums, an abundance of restaurants and tapas bars, very lively, music everywhere.
There was only one electrical socket in the living area and it was blocked by a wooden support of the nightstand.
Stuff was so kind Location is exellent Breakfast is enough what we need to eat in the morning
They give us too small and dark room from the beginning It was not nice of them Cause on website it was showed the different one Any way next day they change this room to another one
Walls are so Thin that You Can hear Everything What People are doing in the Next room even when People snoaring at night
Excellent location, overlooking the delightful Plaza Santa Ana. Very good value considering closeness to centre.
Bit of a trek with cases from Sol metro station, it's closer to Anton Martin. No lift/escalator at latter, but good bus links with Atocha next to station.
the hotel is very close to all major sightseeing. short walk to the main train station made it very easy for our holiday. the staff is very kind and helpful!!! very good breakfast in downstairs restaurant with pleasant decor!!! over all a great value!!! would absolutely recommend to stay to my friends and everyone else. if i ever go back to Madrid, I'll stay at Miau!
there isn't anything i would dislike
It is located just in Plaza Santa Ana with variety of tapas and bars to choose from. Walking distance to metro station.
Can't think of any
Great location and friendly staff.
clean uncluttered rooms friendly English-speaking staff 24-hr reception restaurant provision for meals excellent value for money excellent location close to many attractions
only the occasional thoughtless guest putting on TV at 1 a.m. ! (not the Hotel's fault).
Cozy, friendly, close to everything. Quiet. Clean.
Some noise from the placa Santa Ana but not too bad.
Location is very good right at Plaza Santa Ana. It's near to La Puerta del Sol Square and Plaza Mayor.
Poor room service and unprofessional front desk clerk. We arrived late at nigh for check-in after a long trip from Galicia. A male clerk at the front wasn't welcoming at all. He seemed annoyed with the fact that we were doing a late check-in and even pointed it out to us. He then asked our 13-year old son to sign the contract after requesting his passport and entering his information in the hotel computer. We were amazed by this absurdity, but allowed our son to sign the paper, not before joking around with him being considered an adult. I guess the front desk clerk realized he as making a huge mistake after seeing our reaction. He threw out the paper signed by our son without any apologies and handed me another paper asking me to sign it. We were given a small room on the first floor for the three of us. The bathroom didn't look very clean. The towels were carelessly placed on the rack and we got only 2 tiny soaps for three people staying two nights. Room was in need of renovation. Elevator was too small fitting only one person and a bag at a time. Thankfully we were on the first floor, so we managed to take our baggage up and down in two rounds.
Room was small but clean. Had a balcony overlooking Plaza Santa Ana. TV with BBC news channel. B'fast was surprisingly good lots of choice, hot &cold buffet. Staff were welcoming, friendly & helpful. No noise from square at night good double glazing.
Walls were paper thin, TV and voices could be heard from other rooms. Could smell smoke from smoking guests in my room.
rude staff (especially at breakfast), old room and furniture, very noisy (you can here noise from the street and your neighbors). very poor breakfast.
I was in Madrid for three days with my 26 year old daughter. The hotel was exactly what we wanted. simple, traditional, excellent air conditioning in the room which over looked the beautiful and lively Plaza de Santa Ana. The staff were helpful and friendly and we were in the heart of old Madrid. It was excellent value for money too.
Nothing. It was perfect for our needs.
Hotel Services Location
The location was great! Close to all things but not outrageously noisy. Staff was very accommodating. Price was very good for central part of city. Lots of hot water and windows opened which I personally prefer over air conditioning at night.
Hotel was a bit run down but not too bad. Air stopped working after only a few hours but when I requested a fan I was given one and it was enough to keep room cool. Attendant at front desk isn't always there so you sometimes had to ring the buzzer, but again, not that big of deal. It was fine for one or two nights while you're out visiting the sights but it's not a place designed to "hang out" in. Bed was just "ok".
staff and location
size of elevator for two or more people
