The hotel was located in a beautiful area, within a short walking distance to many shops and a variety of restaurants. The staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel was very well maintained. It was very peaceful and there were excellent views looking down to Fuengirola and the sea. You could feel very relaxed by the swimming pool and pool bar. Also downstairs there was a hairdressing service, jacuzzi, massage, and spa, which helped you to unwind. The food was very enjoyable with a good variety to choose from. Found it difficult not to have any tea or coffee making facilities in the room, or a mini fridge.

Quiet, elegant atmosphere away from the madding crowd of the seaside towns on the Costa Del Sol yet close enough to them should you want to visit them. The lack of cushions on the white plastic sunbeds.

Beautiful location and gorgeous pool area. Clean, airy room with nice bathroom. Peaceful, relaxing, central and luxurious. Loved Mijas and would go back there in an instant and stay at this hotel again. Big issue - doesn't say trh mijas outside hotel at the turn-off but that is what its called on booking.com - just says hotel mijas so we drove round on tiny one way streets for an hour trying to find the place having driven past it as soon as we got into town!! Room was a bit tired (peeling paint etc.) but clean and airy. Some of the staff not very helpful - partly as understaffed with only one person ever on reception to answer phones and handle queries of guests / check-ins and outs. Underground car-park is expensive.

The location of the hotel is excellent with stunning views from Mijas pueblo down to the coast. Pool area is very good with a shaded bar serving good food. Just the ticket for a relaxing wekend break. Will definately return. Parking charges high at 10 euros per day. Room decor a bit tired. Buffet breakfast could provide more choice.

The position of the hotel is amazing and the pool area has breathtaking views down to the coastline. It is very peaceful. We have stayed here for the last four years but this will be our last visit as the standard has unfortunately dropped. The food was not good and having paid for evening meals we had to eat out on more than one occasion. Also no covers on the sunbeds any more which was most uncomfortable. There is a lack of staff also when the hotel is full and one evening we waited 20 minutes to be served in the bar. This is a 4 star hotel and that is unacceptable.

The pool area and pool bar are the highlight of this hotel. Very nice views and atmosphere from this area. Comfortable during the day with all amenities to hand. Nice hot meals and cool drinks at lunch time. Staff helpful and friendly around the pool side. On arrival the female receptionist talked on the telephone for 20 minutes whilst leaving us standing at the desk. We had had a long day travelling and were in need of a drink. Also we were aware that if she talked for much longer we would miss our evening meal as the restaurant closed at 21:45. We stayed for 1 week and found breakfast was good but evening meals bland and barely warm! Having stayed at the hotel Roc Lago Rojo at La Carihuela Beach,Torremolinos only the month before we expected the meals to be on par I.E. huge choice and lovely and hot!!! The village and area was beautiful and tapas bars and restaurants very good.

Ideal position either to relax by the pool, visit local beaches, or go and enjoy the panoramic views from the many vantage points in the town. Staff very friendly and efficient. I understand that there are no family rooms big enough to sleep more than 3 people, and even then a put-u-up bed is a very tight squeeze.

The hotel is clean, comfortable and relaxing. It is situated in a central position in the mountains providing plentiful opportunities to visit various surrounding places including both beaches and nearby cities using easy, cheap, quick and regular public transport. The staff are helpful, willing and polite at all times even if arriving late at night. The rooms are a little dated but clean and airy however the sea view helps to compensates this.

we booked trh mijas for a different holiday away from the beach and found it to be stunning and very enjoyable. did not like the bar as there was not enough seating outside. Also the waiters are a bit too quick clearing the tables as after having our starter we came back with next course to find everything cleared away including the bottles of water and sunglasses. this happened a number of times.

Location Public Areas I stayed for 38e per night for two which is good value but the breakfast was not good. No Wi-Fi in the Bedrooms Lack of good Tv reception Not Enough English tv Channels The Breakfast is of a very poor standard but what do you expect for the price. They need to provide a better breakfast and charge more. I stayed for 38e per night for two which is good value but the breakfast was not good.

We have stayed at this hotel on two occasions now and the location never disappoints. The pool/outside snack bar area is great for adults and children alike but facilities are limited. The rooms are very clean and can not be faulted for the hotel star standard. We were in the newer extension on this occasion and had a fabulous terrace area. This allowed us to sit out in an evening whilst our daughter was asleep and enjoy the view and peaceful location. The hotel is situated above Fuengirola and therefore is away from the large metropolis but large resorts are easy to travel to via public transport.Ideal! Do not bother eating at the hotel in an evening. The food is poor to say the least and there is plenty of choice in the village to eat and drink if you so wish. The air conditioning in our room on this occasion was adequate but last year we were in the original part of the hotel and the air conditioning was very poor;especially in August when the temperature was in the mid 30's!Our daughter is 6 and if you are expecting large play areas then this hotel is not for you but kids can get spoilt!

The hotel was lacking in facilities, when THE waiter was getting the evening buffet ready there was no bar service, impossible to even get a coffee at 6:30pm and since there were no coffee making facilities in the room we had to leave the hotel to get something to drink. This was not so easy since my colleague was on crutches, whilst only 5 minutes walk to the town centre it was too far for him. I would not rate the hotel 4 star due to the lack of facilities and the fact that the decor is tired. Having said that the view from the dining room was impressive down to the sea.
