clean towels toilet roll building looks nice
took our bed covers and sheets when we went out , got back and was expected to sleep with nothing? asked for 2 cups, seemed unmanagable at first, as did showing us to our room upon arrival, room was booked for 2 and we had to push to beds together which kept sliding apart, had to put bedsheets on floor to walk on it as it was freezing, it was up to 23 degrees outside and inside it was about 4 felt like it was winter until we opened a window or went outside/ , no soap ,no duvets or clean bedding, cold, no drink/food facilities such as kettle.
Room was clean and staff where friendly
Bedrooms at night in January where beyond freezing. I ended up with 6 blankets and still cold.
No Wifi in the rooms. There is only very poor wifi at the first floor. Dirty place. Staff doesn't speak English
Staff and location
Old tatty bedding not enough blankets and they were tatty. Needs even a basic reform drill holes not filled well lights and shades broken curtains falling of rails. We chose cos cheap and did not expect quality but cleanliness and decent bedding and towels was expected
Only good thing is that it's about a 5 minute walk to La Linea Bus station.
Wi-fi is located only in the lobby. You will not get any reception in your room.
Location In La Linea. 5 mins to Gib. Quiet. Helpful staff.
Window blinds not open. No remote TV. No English channels. Wifi only in lounge. More warm blankets got pretty cold in the night.
Lovely view of the town hall gardens and its New Year's Eve lighting. Reception staff very friendly and helpful.
During our stay New Year's Eve, there wasn't any heating in the bedroom or any air con for the summer months. The bedrooms were large but needed some type of heating.
In desperate need of refurbishment
exellent possition ,
room was very cold .no heating in the room.
Location to Gibraltar was prime reason for choice but price really helped. For the cost you could get no better. Nice night life just around the corner. Try the Irish bar. Will book again when we return in March.
Loved the location, the comfortable beds, the cleanliness and the 24hr reception and for 45 euro it served its basic purpose
Lack of Tea and Coffee making facilities. Room just needed a little updating.
Situated as described 10 minutes from border and surrounded by restaurants and bars cleaned every day
Booked a twin/dbl was asked if we wanted a dbl but found out they are the ones they use for single occupancy as my partner had stayed there previously no tea/coffee making facilities and only 1bath towel but 2hand towels
Close to Gibraltar border.
Very tired decor, curtIngs hanging off rail. Bitten to death by mosquitos Smelt musty in wardrobes
The location was great and it was a ok hotel, nice getting use to it.
The wifi was poor, it wasn't 100% clean at times
Location - convenient to get to bars and cafes, and also to the airport (gibraltar). Good value for money overall.
Reception staff seemed quite hostile towards me and i never really understood why. The exception was the main manager who was friendly. No air-conditioning or breakfast but i knew that before booking
This hotel is very basic however the staff are helpful and the rooms are basic but clean and towels are changed everyday. A good budget hotel in my opinion.
close proximity to border of Gibralter
Very noisy even when the window was closed traffic on street continuous through most of the night locals could be heard talking and shouting most nights at 3 am so sleeping difficult.no air con so dread to think what it would be like in the height of summer room dusty floor needed a wash feet would get dirty after shower if you didn't put shoes on. door to room not that secure all reflects in price but I would not recommend would not stay there again
it is very poor hotel, very old. The room aren't bed's light; no confort; very small bathroom without confort and very old. I never want be there again.
Location: La linea is well worth visiting in addition to Gibraltar (in fact, La Linea seems to wake up just as Gibraltar goes to bed). This hotel is in a central spot, 10 minutes walk from the Gibraltar border and around the corner from La Linea's many bars and tapas restaurants.
Cleanliness: The room was filthy. There was used dental floss on the floor, white stains on the bed covers, and lots of dust. In addition, the tap/shower water was yellow (may have been rust) and had an odd smell. We were there for one night before we flew home, so wasn't a disaster for us. But would have been very disappointed if we'd booked for longer.
The location was perfect as I had to work in Gibraltar and walk every day. On my arrival I asked for a room with a sea view and was given a choice by the receptionist, which was very kind (free of charge!!) The staff were helpful and kind. If you are looking for a short term stay and not fussed by the cleanliness-then I can recommend the hotel as it is very handy- not only walking distance to the border (about 10min walk), but also in the very centre of La Linea- so no need to walk at all :) I need to stress though that the staff at reception were very helpful and would like to praise them for their efforts to make my stay pleasant.
I am not sure what I was supposed to expect as it is the 1st time I stayed in a 1 star hotel. As I booked sort of last minute, the price for a room was quite a lot, therefore-not good value for money in regards to that. As I read the other comments-my room was not quite clean(I don't think it was cleaned at all when I occupied it as there was dust all over and had to ask for my sheets to be changed), and was initially quite gutted, but informed reception and they tried to handle it. My bath was blocked-so was not good at all as I stayed there for 2 weeks, and some facilities like bath and floor were not cleaned on daily basis. As my room was next to the stairs, there was occasional noise from people staying in other rooms and not considering the rest of the guests.
it's 10 minuntes walk from the border to Gibraltar
Room really dirty. Sand everywhere, the bathroom stink from urine
No air condition apart from that was ok
Staff at the desk were friendly and helpful. The hotel was within walking distance to the Gibraltar border.
The cleaner could not clean. It took several attemps for the bath to cleaned. We were there for six nights and it was very hot but she didn't change the sheets once. She was also very miserable. There was a bar area however this was not in use and was in the midst of being renovated but in the time we were there we saw no work being done. The wifi would only work on the first floor this meant coming every time we needed to use it.
Very old, musty, not a/c. Very noisy, windows without blinds, very uncomfortable beds, the lift did't work. Long stairs to get in. I would NOT recommend
nice rooms internet hotel like
windows did not open properly
