- Location, location, location! - Value - Staff - Balcony
the staff is very good and it'a a pleasure to stay in this hotel
central location in Sol and right next to the metro
no tea/coffee facilities or a mini fridge. Asked if we could have a double room upon check-in as we couldn't make a request at booking. Advised that we weren't able (as opposed to no rooms available) and that it was for couples only, even though we travelled as a couple. So we had 2 single beds squashed together. Rooms are small, had to climb over luggage bag to get to the small "hallway" to the bathroom.
Easy access to museums, activities and social events. Of course, hundreds of restaurants to choose from.
Located close to the tourist sites and metro
I arrived late evening and had to fly the next morning. Could appreciate the staff. Location is excellent as walking distance from everything. Nice to place it in the pedestrian area which make it quite
The receptionists were amazing, they gave me great recommendations for everything I needed, from tapas places to postcards. They were extremely helpful and went out of their way to ensure a great stay! And you just cannot beat the location, right in the city centre.
Location & staff were great.
Wifi was weak. Staff had to move me to another room, which was better. Towels were extremely rough. Felt like sandpaper.
Breakfast not really good. Bread was old and not many options. Personal at the reception really bad! Sometimes not even saying ´hello´
proximity to Metro. Quiet courtyard room.
Staff uninterested. Tiny and dated room. Bed hard, bedding old, bathroom clean but towels like sandpaper and dated color. Could hear hallway noise. Neighborhood not so good. Overpriced.
perfect location, clean, nice cosy rooms, free wifi.
staff should learn/improve their english
Good breakfast, really nice and polite staff - they even sent us our lost precious toy after our visit
the location is really good. 10 sec from the metro. the staff were mostly kind.
we came to Spain for our honeymoon and mentioned it on our reservation. yet, we got a really small room with no view to the street. when we wanted to switch, they offered us a room with a view but in additional charge (and kept to insist and claim we won't find better hotel). the room wasn't really clean, there were someone else's things in the closet. the hallway was really messy... all the hotel felt a bit old...On our last day there wasn't free space on the luggage room so we had to leave our luggage on the reception board. was a disappointment...
We liked the location and the staff was helpful and friendly! We were able to walk to almost everything we wanted to do.
Despite the good location, I would definitely not recommend this hotel: very small room ( less than 15 m2 for a triple room), very noisy we could hear our neighbors, poor comfort. Problem with heat, the room was very hot and not possible to adjust temperature .... Needless to say it's very expensive compared to what we got.
friendly staff, perfect location in down town, near metro station, breakfast ok,
nothing to tell about this
At the center of the heart of Madrid, Sol. Room was also rather big for the price we paid. We had a huge balcony as well.
No refrigerator. Lucky that it is winter and we have natural fridge in the balcony.
the location is excellent.. with shops and restaurants just a few steps away.. there is never a dull moment as it very near mercado san miguel and all the tapas restaurants.
Just the location.
All the rest. When I entered the room, the smell was that bad that I had to leave the windows open till late. I asked for a double bed and I got a twin room. Zero cleanliness, hair on the tiles of the bathroom, stains on the bed sheets and on the towels...never again!
I chose a room with a terrace so that I had the option to have some private time with some space and air if it all got too much, it was just right and way above the street so that I could enjoy the sounds of the city.
Price & location. Shame no bar area.
- location is great - very friendly staff - close to few metro stations
- sometimes you may have impression that walls in rooms are too thin - wifi may be better
