Hotel Cordial Mogán Playa is a large complex built in the style of a Canarian village. In tropical gardens, it features 2 outdoor swimming pool, spa and rooms with balconies.
Score from 504 reviews Wonderful
Set beside Puerto Rico Marina in Gran Canaria, this modern apartment-style hotel provides views of the Atlantic Ocean from its outdoor swimming pool. All rooms have satellite TV and a private balcony....
Score from 849 reviews Excellent
Mini restraunt on the beach.
The number of lifts and stairs to get to the bedroom.
Very nice balcony with the view over the sea. Perfect place to see the sunset. The food was better than expected for that was an all inclusive place. The lower pool was good and heated. The rooms clean and well decorated.
The table wine was diluted with water. The sparkling wine was nothing to write home about either. No gym and no free internet.
View and food
Breakfast was good and the views were great
parking was impossible and its not suitable for elderly persons had my mam (82)with me nearly killed her to get to her room on arrival even tho we requested a room with ease of access took 2 days to sort it out
Lovely hotel with very friendly staff who were always happy to help. Fantastic food and you never want for anything. Lovely pools and a good view. Only a short shuttle bus ride to Puerto Mogan or the beach. Very enjoyable. Would return.
The cleanliness of the room and bed might have been a little fresher
We booked this as all inclusive despite some of the other reviews giving the impression that the food was poor. We found the food to be excellent, a varied and more importantly fresh every time. This included the beach bar which we found a great feature. The staff were really pleasant, welcoming and attentive throughout the whole complex Always polite and courteous.
Our only real criticism of this place is that it was stated that that dinner should be a more formal occasion with appropriate dress but it seemed as though anything was allowed. We made the effort as did the staff and Maitre De.
Great rooms- we stayed in a 2 bed 2 bath connecting room. The pool was great, but sometimes cold. Very clean although the little ants were a nusaince. Very generous with the pouring of alcohol (especially the tequila). Acrobatic show was good (magician not so much). The weather even in November was between 22-28 degrees C. And ladies the friendly animación Jesu was also very cute.
Wifi is not free and even if purchasing it is only available in the reception. Food is good, but a wider choice for vegetarians would be nice.
Location very good
Animation team very poor
Big rooms with air con, huge bed, sea views, nice view and you can hear the sea at night. Bath and a shower, wáter was always lovely and hot powerful shower. There was 2 main pools and a pool bar lots of sunbeds. The beach also had a bar plus slightly different choice of food at the beach. Nice White sofás to sit on and different seating áreas. Helpful friendly staff. The place was kept immaculate.
This is the first all inclusive I have done. For me the meals always felt rushed and you lose the dining experience. The food was pretty much the same every day although lots of choice, I think the food ranges should be changed to give more variation. The adult pool we did not use as it was too far from the toilets. The lovely whie sofás on the first level also would benefit from a toilet there but more importantly would benefit from some self service drinks. The drink choices were ok but not brill. The lager was good but the wine was not drinkable for us and the spirits were mainly liquers.
Everything about the location and people for me it ticked all the boxes never gone back to anywhere but we love Puerto de Mogan.
just wish people were not selfish to leave towels on beds then go to beech, hotel should make a point of taking towels off beds if not occupied after breakfast .
Staff, very friendly and helpful, solved any problem one had , hotel itself and views from all areas of hotel, never having to wait for a table in dining room even though it was very busy ,
Having to get 4 different lifts from pool area to bedroom, ( though the way hotel was constructed I can understand it was the only way to get to the rooms, "my my what a view". Afraid entertainment was not up to much, road up to hotel had no lighting at night, impossible to walk on footpath as there were some open holes in the middle of it where street lights were to be put in, so we could not walk down to centre of resort at night which we would have liked to do after dinner
Looking over Puerto Mogan this hotel is perfectly placed. Rooms are spacious and services good. Food is good selection.
The bed was slightly hard for us and the entertainment was average.
food hotel staff
location. too much travelling to get to room.
Quality of room furnishings Good bed Restaurant and food service Reception service Entertainment Shuttle bus provision to beach Beach Club service
Room backed onto lift shaft - noisy interrupted sleep Swimming pools and bars - require better service provision and regular cleaning of seating areas Glass in lifts and on terraces cleaned more regularly
Pool excellant.food very good.staff very helpful overall.
No complimentary wifi.safe.fridge.did'nt like that people had left towels on lou
The staff were generally helpful, polite, smart and efficient. Good view over Taurito and across to Puerto Mogan Marina. Family Suites good, spacious and close to pools and restaurant.
In October the sun doesn't reach the pools until after 1200. Pool areas very crowded. With only one repetitive buffet restaurant and no a la carte option this hotel is not recommended for adults only. This in my opinion falls a long way short of 4 Star.
Me and my girlfriend wanted a relaxing week away but we are both in our early twenties so wanted the option of late nights too. The hotel was perfect and not too quiet so we were kept entertained. We went to the busier Puerto rico 2 nights too. Lovely food and very helpful staff would definitely recommend.
Location was good but not great. If you wanted to go to Mogan or even down to the beach you needed to get a taxi, we walked it a couple times to the beach but coming back up the hill would be abit much especially in that heat.
400+rooms max 30 car spaces nightmare to park car.Police issue tickets I think its a private road??
excellent views, comfortable room, pool bar and beach bar were good
Worst reception service I have ever come across - although it did improve after we complained-staff increased from 1 to 2. Entertainment was dire-on the last evening - advertised was the "three tenors" who we had seen before-was changed without any warning to female singing group -who were not very good!! food was average and repetitive. no bars outside the hotel you could escape to!!
View Cleanliness Food Beach club facilities
Paying for an extremely poor wifi connection. Terrible pillows No fresh fruit juices in morning or least none that we could see. Struggled to find free sun beds unless up first thing
For the price this is a great hotel, rooms are basic, but that is reflected in price. We only had breakfast and that was really good. Did not use the bar and can't comment on the entertainment as we went into Peurto Mogan every night, which is a 9 Euro taxi ride.
We had a hire car, and parking at the hotel is very limited. I had to park about 1km away one evening. Most nights it was ok, but that was by luck!
The rooms have amazing views over everything in Taurito and across to the marina in Mogán. Sunsets are fantastic from the bar terrace. The food selection was great from breakfast through to dinner. The staff were wonderful and friendly day and night and the cleanliness was superb. Our favorite spot was sunning ourselves at the adult only pool. The beach bar is also fantastic (the pizzas are v good! :-)
We would like to have had more of a variety in music played at poolside. The bar terrace is too small for the number of guests and there's a fight for chairs. There is no alfresco dining at this hotel, a real shame as we love doing this when on holiday.
Views were beautiful, food ok, pools good.
Walk up the the hotel was a steep hill with no lighting covered in potholes. Dangerous. Had to rely on taxi mostly which made our holiday a lot more expensive.
Beautiful location with stunning views. Food good and plentiful. Pool excellent, staff very helpful. Thanks to all staff for a great break. Will definitely return.
