Gardens and setting, General style of buildings. No chair or working table in room. Poor level of lighting. Described as about 5km from centre of Ronda. Correct if explained that it was as the crow flies, but was in fact over 10 km by road.

The style and the location. The staff were lovely, the honesty bar so easy. Gardens are stunning and haven for bird life, motto mention the frogs that love to sing at night. Great place. The dinner was expensive and small, we only ate there once. But there are plenty of eateries in Ronda.

the hotel it self, with its views, good staff, the lounge area etc, would stop there again. Just a nice hotel to stay in even though the room was a little damp The food not as good as it should be, small portions. If they improved the food quality and portions I think this hotel would be one of the best hotels in Ronda area. I would stop there again, but would eat out

You love the place or you don't. You love it when you are looking for a quite place in the middle of the olive trees where there is no real activity or noise. The views over the valley are stunning, the garden is beautifull and the athmosphere is... relaxed. Breakfast is not cheap but you get something in return! There is a honesty bar with a wide selection where you take the drinks yourselve and note down what you consume. Getting there is easy when you follow the instructions they sent you upfront. Yes, the last kilometer is off the beaten track but that adds to the charm. Sufficient parking on site. Thinking hard to find something negative...

The staff all had good English, French and several other languages. The hotel itself was quite a long way from the main road 3k. But worth the drive up the very small and road and track to get there. The outdoor restaurant was wonderful, sitting out while the sun went down and still feeling nice and warm. We will, I am sure return to enjoy this wonderful place again.

Great location in the countryside and good signage thankfully to get there ( the gps gave up ).multi lingual staff, nice room, very clean. Seats relatively comfortable. Absolutely superb breakfast looking out over the mist covered hills. All the food was homemade and tasted like it Liked the honor system for beer and drinks Pool not filled and therefore unusable ( had been a selling point or us) Outdoor furniture is uncomfortable Dogs barking at 0500 to 0700 incessantly nearby

A beautiful old hacienda set amid vineyards and orchards overlooking the Sierra de la Grazelmena. Strolling through the grounds beside waist high irrigation channels, beneath tall fruit trees and picking sun- kissed red strawberries from the kitchen plot is bliss. There is a beautiful swimming pool, and in the guest lounge a self service bar with fresh cake and decent coffee. In the morning we awoke to the gentle sound of animal bells and watched from our bedroom window as hundreds of goats decended the hill, kicking up a cloud of dust as the herdsman (on a mobile phone!) brought them to water troughs just outside the hotel car park. No breakfast menu in the dining room, and very little enthusiasm from the dining staff as to the availability of a cooked breakfast.

Paradise in the mountains a short drive from Ronda. Quiet and stunningly beautiful hotel and gardens, not suitable for noise-makers but an ideal place to relax off the beaten track. Breakfast is a bit expensive

Molino del Arco is an old converted farmhouse set in beautiful, tranquil surroundings - it is an easy 10 - 15 minute drive into the centre of Ronda. The setting is remote and well off the beaten track, but we found it very easy to find as we'd contacted the hotel in advance and they provided accurate & easy-to-follow instructions There are cobbled courtyards and a lovely garden area with a quiet pool set into the lawn. The breakfast room has fantastic view over the courtyard and surrounding countryside. An excellent selection was served at breakfast (buffet style) with freshly cooked breakfast made to order. Drinks were available all day/evening from an 'honesty' bar with a wide selection of drinks available. Our clean and comfortable room was a good size with a great Arabic style walk-in shower. We found all the staff to be very polite and helpful throughout our stay. I would happily recommend this to other travellers in search of some peace and tranquillity. Constructive criticism - The dinner menu was very average and could be improved. After eating at Molino del Arco on our first night we then chose to drive into Ronda for the rest of our evening meals where there are a variety of good restaurants. The room we had would benefit from some re-decoration as the wallpaper was looking tired & bubbled in places. I would have liked to have a mirror in the bedroom area - the only mirror was in the bathroom. These are just small points and should not put anyone off staying here - we had a very happy stay.

This hotel was truly magical in every way... A must see The beautiful gardens, the character rooms, the feel of being in a true Spanish countryside... All fantastic, better than any 5 star hotel Getting there is tricky, almost impossible at night time.... The map through bookings.com wont point to the actual location...You must call them or follow signs that are hard to see when heading that direction..

beautiful landscapes and historical building makes a romantic and charming feeling. Two swimming pools are excelently made for loving people to enjoy themselves there. I didn't like the attitude from the lady which was in the reception, because at the start we offered a double room, but we were three people, so the reception lady would not agree with that and asked to pay more. We arrived at about 9 pm in the evening-all places were closed-the restaurant and the swimming pool. Also she didn't explained what are our possibilities, for example-about the bar, about the music and so on. When i went on the breakfeast, i was asked by the question from which i get confused: what i am doing here. i think that if hotel has 4 stars, there must be another way to access costumers. Have a nice day!
