Hotel Medium Monegal    

Perfect location right at the top of La Rambla. Easy access to City Bus Tours and Metro. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was exception and plenty of it!

A little noisy at night (traffic etc) but we expected that because of the location. We were so tired after out sightseeing trips it really didn't disturb our sleep.

Strong and persistent smell of cigarettes in the room! ! !

The hotel is in the center of happening, on the corner of La Rambla and placa Catalunya. Aaerobus, that brings you to the airport is 3 min away. Metro station also jut across the streat. Begining station of turist busses is also near the hotel. Hotel is very clean, the rooms are being cleaned every day. Internet signal is optimal. All members of the staff are pleasant and willing to help.

The Desk staff were excellent!!!! The location was perfect for the city centre, shop's, night life, metro (tube train), airport connections & visting sights. The room was clean & well kept daily.

The beds were very hard & not very comfortable. There always seemed to be music playing into my room from somewhere early in the mornings, wasnt sure if it was the chamber maids playing it (the linen room was right next to mine) or as it sounded sometimes as if it was being played directly into all the rooms in the mornings. (I could never hear other rooms T.v's for example) I would stay here again although not more than 4/5 days solely down to the uncomfortableness of the beds.

Two young girls in reception are very very very friendly.

It's a two stars hotel, don't expect 5 stars facilities

I liked mostly the location as hotel is situated at the start of the Ramblas, and just across Plaza Catalunya.

Would have preferred a room with a window looking either on the Rambla or the Plaza. But considering the amount of money paid, it was a good deal all round. The buffet breakfast is also good.

Location was perfect! Couldn't ask for a better spot. The staff was really helpful, I landed in an early flight and arrived to the hotel at 1000 (check in at 1400) and they were kind enough to find me a room, that I wouldn't have to wait. The room was quiet and decent.

The hotel is not so pretty, the hallways doesn't look like a hotel, the rooms are a bit dated with the design.and have tile floor and not carpet or wood as you expect from a hotel.

Friendly, helpful staff - comfortable beds and a substantial breakfast. Wonderful for being at the Centre of everything : shopping, restaurants, markets, historical buildings etc, and right by every form of transport necessary to make our visit to, around and exit from Barcelona so easy..

As a City Centre, Budget friendly hotel there was absolutely nothing to dislike about the Hotel Medium Monegal

Friendliness, smiley receptionists, different staff too. Requested extra pillows took 5 mins and pillows arrived crisp clean with sweeties too. Requested a view ace view overlooking the busy street we were happy, maybe a little noisy for some, we like the hustle bustle.

Staircase was grotty, but hey hoo, you can use the lift! How long do we spend on a staircase?

This is a value-for money city centre hotel in a fantastic position near the Ramblas and Catalunya Square, easily reached from the airport via the Aerobus at minimal cost. Have been before and will stay again!
