|Hostal La Marina is a charming guest house by Ibiza’s port, just yards from the sea. It offers rooms with full heating and air conditioning and private bathrooms.|
The entire experience of spending Christmas in this shabby, dirty hotel, will remain with me for a long time. I left a day early and spent €20 re-booking my boat ticket to escape the place!
Very nice and helpful staff
Outside is charming, inside completely old and old fashioned
The room was very small more like a cupboard, I am 6ft 2 and could barely fit On the last day of my stay I was moved to a larger room
Old fashioned atmosphere
The location couldn't be better for the Formentera ferries. We flew in late from Bristol so needed to stay until the ferries started next morning. Our room had a small balcony with a view over the street. Clean, simple, good value.
The reception clerk was quite grumpy and uncommunicative (we speak reasonable tourist Spanish so it wasn't a language issue). Not a very warm welcome.
Location location location!
The rooms are in serious need of updating! Just a lick of paint wood do the trick!! Very very basic, cheap shower curtain and bathroom was basic. Very dated! The carpets in the stairways and lobby where thread bare, stained and worn out. The double bed was basic as was the mattress. All in all a very dated hotel in serious need of updating. I paid 90 euro per night & I would have valued it at no more than 50 euro per night! However, supply & demand!! Come on management,it's time to pull your fingers out and get this hotel updated to the 21st century!!
Location was perfect and the hotel building from the outside was gorgeous.
Hotel could do with a revamp. Old and grime inside, we only stayed one night so we had everything we needed but I would not like to be staying the week as the room is very basic.
I just one night stay for Formentera island. Center of center in Ibiza town!
Fantastic location by the harbour, and next to a lovely square, where tables from the hotel café looked out upon the trees and people strolling in the open space. Yes, the hotel is old (the first in Ibiza Town) but that gives it bags old world charm. It's a lovely landmark
Not much of a view from my window (but that gave me an extra incentive to get out and explore the town, and the lack of view was reflected in the room price, so I really wasn't bothered).
carpet in the isle of room level!
small dark room
Good location in Ibiza Town
Tiny rooms with no daylight able to come through windows. No wifi in rooms, only downstairs in reception area. Breakfast not included, even though there is a restaurant connected to the venue. Far too high of a price for such poor facilities.
Great location, friendly staff, basic but comfortable. Hot showers, good water pressure.
Rooms a bit dated and hotel quite old.
Our second room was far superior to the first. The first room felt like a storage room and was not worth the money we were paying. Second room was completely different with a 2 balconies! Nice old building - could do with updating but clean and comfortable. Staff were not very welcoming or particularly hospitable but check in was fine and the move happened with a push!
The first room we received was a storage room and the staff were a little cold. Overall not good value for money.
it was a last minute decision to come to Ibiza for quick 2 day stint to visit a particular club. So was very happy to discover there was space at the Montesol in mid-August. Bearing the lateness of our booking, the price was still fair and we didn't get ripped off. Both rooms had good balconies and good views - one across the harbour. Sure, it gets busy and noisy in the evening but that goes with the territory at this spot. Just depends what you're going for in the first place i suppose
poor service, no wifi, overpriced
The location is great and the staff very friendly
It needs a total refurbishment. It looks a bit too used now.
Everything is ok. rooms are clean , stuff pleasant , no very good that no wi fi in the rooms. By the way i recommend
Location very good right bang in the centre of Ibiza town
The location, air conditioning.
The hotel was dirty, my room was not clean, I had no windows so no natural light( awful) the shower leaked everywhere so like a swimming pool in the bathroom, not enough hangers, 1 tiny shelf in bathroom, literally no room to move, staff not helpful, corridors were filthy, very dated, needs a revamp! The list could go on
Clean, friends and great location.
Bit far from main clubs and expensive.. But what in Ibiza isn't!
Needed a hair drier and drinking water available
Easy access to the harbour and city centre highlights. Can walk to most sights with ease from here.
Third floor room with balcony that overlooked a busy street corner. Looks good in a photgraph but dont be deceived. The road noise outisde was unearable and went on until 4am in the morning. Dont book a room here if you value a good nights sleep.
Dirty common areas Extremely small and dirty room Rude and careless staff
