The hotel is perfectly situation in the center of Madrid close to the Prado museum and about 15 minutes away from Gran via. The conection with airport is great - 5 minutes away from railroad station Atocha, where shutter bus from Airport stops. The hotel staff was always helpful and friendly, and the room was very cosy. Moreover there is a splendid cafe downstairs that offers menu del dia for just 9.50 EUR on working days and 12.5 EUR on Sat/Sun. Good choice for budget travellers, who do not demand a 5 star comfort and service. There was no fridge or minibar in the hotel rooms.

The location of Hotel Mora is excellent. As a tourist new to Madrid, I was glad it was close to the Airport 'Yellow' bus and the train station. Great restaurants nearby as well as an excellent one connected with the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to other travelers. I wish there were more clear directions to get to the hotel. We exited the 'yellow' bus too early and had a long walk that was unnecessary. It would have been better when we called for help that the desk person tell us to get back on yellow bus and take it to the Atocha train station rather than walking from Place Cebelis (more than a kilometer away).

We loved the location, short walk from Atocha train station and across from the Prado. We loved the staff, particularly Guillermo, who was courteous, kind, friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel at home immediately. He went beyond the call of duty with helpful suggestions about everything we asked and assistance when we had some travel booking difficulties. The little cafeteria was lovely and handy. The main lobby was lovely and welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They are small but we were busy touring Madrid before we caught a flight back to Canada the next day and really did not wish to spend much time in the room so it was perfect for us.

We traveled for 5 weeks in Spain and Portugal and stayed at the Hotel Mora 3 separate times for a total of 6 nights. The staff are very nice and genuinely try to be helpful and accommodating. The rooms aren't large, and all three of ours opened onto a blank wall at the back of the hotel. But they are clean and quite adequate. The beds are comfortable. The price was very reasonable. But the best thing about the Hotel Mora is its location!! It's very close to the Prado, Reina Sofia, Retiro Park, Plaza Mayor, as well as very close to a main subway station and the Atocha train station. After a couple of terribly expensive cab rides, we started using the subways. And there's the 'yellow bus' from the Bajaras airport to the Atocha Station - 40 minutes and only 2 euros! It's scheduled to arrive and depart every 15 minutes during the day. A must! We highly recommend the Hotel Mora, the subway and the airport- Atocha bus!

Very close to Atocha station so it was easy to go around. I didn't need to take taxi or bus to get the hotel with a big luggage from Atocha station. There was a oil heater so it was very comfortable in winter. The single room was little bit small and there was no space to open my luggage.

The room was very quiet and clean. The location is fantastic across from the Prado Museum. There are many great restaurants within walking distance. The room might be a bit small if you are going to be spending a lot of time there.

For 2*, it offers good value. The location near the Prado museum, botanical gardens, the lovely Retiro park, the excellent Calle Moratrin bar area, and walking distance to Atocha railway station are big pluses. Breakfast was not included and the breakfast I had there was poor compared to those I had in Prague, Antwerp, Alicante & Amsterdam all on this trip.

Location was perfect, staff were fine and nextdoor cafe was very convenient and reasonably priced. Everything was fine EXCEPT.....and this is really important....there was an overpowering and totally unacceptable smell of sewers in the first of the rooms we were shown. We also found the same smell in the basement toilet. You really have to sort this out. Radiators have air in them and therefore make a lot of gurgling noises. If the air is taken out, then the water circulates without a noise. We did let some of the air out, but it should really be done when the system is not being pumped around. Just turn it off and get a guy to go round all the radiators releasing the air.

Taxis are always outside. It's a nice hotel, in a safe building. Close to all the important museums of Madrid, close to the metro, and to Atocha. This time my room was a little small. The bathroom was tiny.

The location was great, esp if you get a room with a terrace opening to the park in front of the hotel.... The good thing was even though it was 5-7 min walk to the center abd happenings, it was in a quiet place itself.... Close to metro, bus stop, burger king and starbucks! The staff, esp. The lady we checked in with was so angry all the time and seemed as if she was unwillingly forced to be there!

The location of this hotel is perfect for the Atoche Station as well as the Prado CaixaForum and Reina Sofia Museums. Truly a great place to access local tapas bars and people watch. The rooms are very clean and tended to daily. There is a restaurant located on the premises with very simple but tasty and inexpensive breakfast selections. The rooms are quite small. The reception desk staff were a bit hit and miss. Mostly the problem was the day-time staff. One woman was extremely and consistently rude, and another guy was on the phone with what were personal calls while we waited close to 10 minutes for him to simply acknowledge us standing there. (This happened more than twice, and we were there for 5 days.) The evening staff were the absolute opposite; friendly, professional and very informative. They helped us get dinner reservations and made sure we had extra pillows. Overall, if you are planning on staying more than 3 nights, upgrade to a better hotel. It will be worth the money.

The location near Atocha station (10 minutes walk) and Prado Musuem was great for exploring the city. It was also easy to take the Express Bus back to the airport in the morning. The room was much smaller than I expected (I mean I don't need a big room but this room is seriously very small). The shower is the tiniest I have ever seen for a hotel. It requires some serious navigation skills when you are showering.....

We booked this hotel based on a recommendation of a Spanish friend. The location is excellent, if you don't mind it's located at a busy street. Museums like del Prado are all very nearby on walking distance. City centre is also an easy walk, but of course you can also make use of the excellent public transport (metro and bus). The room is modest but modern and clean. There is no breakfast included, but you can have cheap breakfast in any of the many bars located nearby. Staff could be a bit more friendly. Without any questions or checks I got the key to the luggage room. I wonder what happens if someone asks for the key who is not a hotel guest.
