Historic, beautiful hotel with wonderful location and staff
Historical hotel with excellent location and staff
Location, comfort, price.
Location is good being close to plaza Neuva.
Poor sound insulation in room; no window to the outside; poor tv reception; lack of a receptionist for hotel so that you arrive to an empty (and often dark) reception area (very unwelcoming feel); no help with luggage even though there are many steps up to the front hall; front door is locked in the evening and it may take fairly long time for night clerk to respond to door bell.
The historic building, lovely room with a balcony onto a very interesting street, cool courtyard to sit and have lunch or a drink. Fantastic location for seeing Granada.
The only thing we had trouble with was the shower. It has an old brass showerhead and despite best efforts water went absolutely everywhere. And the street is noisy all night long, but that is the price you pay for a central location in the middle of things.
Staff was helpfull and competant
Parking rules when coming by car ,it's a complicated lcoation for drivers. Hotel is far away from main entrance of Alhambra although it's very close to the site.
Can not reach hotel by car (not mentioned). Rooms on the frontside can be very noisy. Poor shower. Wifi doesn't always work
Beautiful building traditionally decorated with a romantic feel. The location was excellent for exploring Granada.
Breakfast was poor but not expensive.
The location in Granada was perfect, and the staff was very friendly. Extreme value for money
Very difficult to find a parking place - especially if the visit is your first in Granada
Great location, close to Alhambra and restaurants. The historic and traditional interior was incredible. Service good. Quiet at night! Food and drink superb
Our room didn't have an outside window but this wasn't a problem
A lovely hotel, full of character in a perfect location. Ideal for a short stay. The beds were very comfortable. Very clean, staff helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend to others, and stay again ourselves. Our room overlooked the courtyard, so very quiet, but perhaps a room overlooking the street would have been nice.
Breakfast room was a disappointment as it felt characterless and crowded.
Room size and view were excellent.
Not a big deal but the seal on the plug for the tub wouldn't seal properly so we couldn't keep the tub full enough for a spa.
Staff were EXCELLENT, particularly the young Italian lady. A beautiful interior and very pleasant place to stay for few nights. LOVED IT
Breakfast - sorry but not worthy of the name and the parking, but this is a problem throughout this part of Granada. Do not let these comments put you off this wonderful hotel.
I haven't ever been to a better hotel. Everything there was just perfect. I can't tell what I liked most. It is located in 5 minutes from Alhambra and the cathedral. It is very nice and comfortable. I really loved the patio and the fontain.
The staff was very helpful. We arrived without tickets to the Alhambra and the staff quickly helped us take care of it. Also gave us plenty of suggestions on things to do and places to eat. The room was very spacious and the hotel's building is interesting. Very centrally located too, can walk to all the places of interest or easily find a taxi.
That the hotel doesn't have an elevator. Though the staff helped us carry our luggages, it may be more of a problem for older guests/people with heavier luggages.
Beautiful hotel. We were in room 302 that overlooked the street with a window balcony. Loved it. Staff was very helpful. Great location in the city. Call ahead if you are driving as you can't park at the property.
Street was a little loud, but don't let that keep you away from this great hotel.
Location, location, location!
Full of character and great location.
wifi not great really dusty
What a character hotel! We were soooo impressed with the hotel decor, the room, the jacuzzi bath and the open courtyard. Room 305 which our friends had was just amazing, with a four poster bed, a corridor with seating area, a corner jacuzzi bath and beautifully decorated. Can highly recommend
Parking is an issue. We were lucky that we found parking further up the street at no extra cost. But we are still unsure whether the cameras to stop through traffic were working or not. Only time will tell.
Beautiful building, friendly staff, great service and amazing location
Very beautiful authentic old building. Nice, helpful staff Perfect location
Because it`s a very old house, the walls between the rooms are not very sound-proof... so if the neighbors are loud, you`ll hear it. For us, it was not a problem at all.
Lorena. Her attention and sweetness. Excellent location. Very comfortable.
No english television. Not much of a alhambra view, as promised.
Location, view and staff, can't be better
Beautiful room most abundant bathroom basket of amenities, love the tiled, colorful bathroom floor, bathrobes, bidet, large wardrobe, balcony looking over the courtyard, great staff, candy on concierge desk, close to taxi's and Hammam.
This old hotel has many steps. We struggled to carry our suitcases up the first set of steps. Once mentioned to the concierge, they made sure to do it for us, both ways. Our room, #301, was upstairs 1 flight, but alongside the central enclosed courtyard that hosted a cafe till midnight. Even with closing all the blinds and curtains to block out the hotel courtyard's lights, the noise from the cafe and then from outside was disturbing. If one goes to sleep after midnight, this may not be such an issue. No safe deposit box in the room though there was one at the concierge desk.
