Hotel very clean and modern, staff excellent with good English. Adjacent restaurant, good base for surrounding cities, free parking adjacent to hotel.
This is an excellent base if you want to explore the local area. The rooms are very comfortable & relaxing - the facilities are very good and the staff friendly and helpful. It was our 2nd visit and we hope to return again. Highly recommended.
Very well run with excellent staff and closeness to Gorbeia National Park, Vittoria and other, further but accesible locations such as the Rioja area. Secure parking. Several bars and restaurants close by.
Nothing worth mentioning.
Extremely helpful, we were in a hurry early morning and they set up breakfast just for us.
Not sure where the no parking came from? We were offered secure parking free which is a bonus. We had been in this village prior to booking so we had seen the hotel. Owner speaks English as do at least one other family member. Family run hotel, they couldn't be nicer. Lovely free breakfast with wonderful coffee. We enjoyed our stay.
The Nagusi, which means the main one, is a very pleasant small hotel run by an extremely friendly Basque called José , who also speaks very good English. The village (or small town) of Murguia itself has about 2,500 people and is very interesting to walk around. A few meters from the hotel there are two bakeries, a café, and two small supermarkets. A drive into the surrounding area takes you to picture perfect villages surrounded by luscious green pastures. A spectacular view of the valley can be had from the chapel of Santa Maria del Oro, perched on a rocky ridge about five kilometers out of town. Vitoria is only 15 minutes away by car taking the no-toll autovia. We had one of the large rooms (a bedroom and a small dining room) on the ground floor with cooking facilities--a stove, microwave, fridge, pots and pans etc. Everything was clean and modern. There was absolutely no noise from outside. There is no private parking but in this small town parking is available almost everywhere and is safe. We were always able to park right outside the hotel. Breakfast was included in our rate and could be described as simple. I must say though that the coffee is prepared according to the wishes of each guest and was excellent.
The only negative point was the breakfast and it didn't take anything away from the high score of the hotel. It could be improved by having some fresh bread, different flavours of yogurt, some fresh fruit, and sweet rolls. The orange juice could also be fresh instead of bottled. Since fresh bread might not be available at 8.00 in the morning packaged sandwich bread could be used to make toast in a toaster.
Beautiful modern hotel close to city best shower in any hotel I have ever experienced rainfall and shower. Wonderful helpful staff!
Very modern. I liked shower best ever in my hotel experience. integrated shower bedroom may be problematic for families
We had room 3101 with a very good sleep sofa and a large bed aaaand a whirlpool hot tub!!!! The kids loved this very much. Very clean and lovely service personnel.
It's Spain alright. And that is for me the fact that you won't get a proper meal before 9PM. And if you have to leave early the next day, the the hotel breakfast starting at 8:30AM is def too late. But the breakfast is good and fresh. And there is a pub and a restaurant that looked very good from the outside but was closed until 9PM.
The best part was our host! We came by car at midnight and the hotel manager was waiting for us at the door, outside. All the hotel staff were remarkably kind, and very attentive during breakfast. Breakfast was very good, serving yogurt, fruits, toast, croissants, tomatoes, cereal, fresh orange juice, coffee and tea. We stayed in a room on the third floor with a beautiful wooden roof (exactly like the hotel's pictures on booking.com). The room had a jacuzzi, a large bathroom and a great shower. The location is very nice for a family getaway. There are several trails for trekking around the town.
It seems our vacations just flew us by... I would have stayed another week!
Very spacious family apartment. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good beds and bedding.
The bathroom (sliding) door was blocked. Room has no air conditioning or ventilator. Quite hot at the end of the day. Luckily, we could sleep with the window wide open. No noise at all at night in this little village
Nice modern rooms. Good bed.
No WiFi in room even if the hotel page stated so. Two nearby church bells rang every half hour throughout the day and night.
Rooms are clean and comfortable.
Wifi work very slovly only in reception.
Cleaness and comfort. Good breakfast with fresh made orange juice.
All was fine. Good value for money.
Hotel and staff were excellent. Rooms first class.
Not a criticism of the hotel, but the location did not offer much choice of eateries. We found the service there to be slow (it wasn't a weekend) and half the already limited menu wasn't available, so perhaps worth making sure you have your own transport.
Lovely attic room - spacious, divine bath, comfortable bed. Very friendly service.
The village is such a charming area in Araba, near to the mountains (Oro, Gorbeia Natural Park, Goiuri waterfall...). The hotel is cosy and brand new. This makes you feel in peace and very welcomed. It is located in the center of the village and is so easy to reach good restaurants such as Areso or Casa del Patrón.
Staff and Room
Location on street corner. Had to keep blinds closed. For privacy.
The staff are superb. Polite and very accommodating and friendly. The showers are the best in Europe! I go out of my way to stay at this hotel.
Very good breakfast and nice people working in the hotel.
Warm, convenient, helpful, welcoming (back), location
