Hotel Naval Sestao    

Value for money price and decent evening fixed price meal. Convenient for Brittany Ferries. excellent parking with a very secure underground garage and also free wifi.

Surroundings still look like a bomb site. Hotel a bit difficult to find and is situated in the Sestao Industrial Estate (poligono).

The whole set up. It is a first class budget Hotel. I travel in a wheelchair and there were no problems. Food and drink mid range bu hey this is a budget hotel

Proximity to Brittany Ferry Port - approx.10kms (but be careful with hotel written instructions). Basic but clean, quite & comfortable. Very helpful reception lady. Nearby stations to get to Bilbao, Portugalete etc. Well lite street parking spaces right outside hotel.

Being in the middle of a heavy industrial area.

We found it quite difficult to findour sat nav could not track it because it is so new no signs we had to ask 3/4 people for directions which in spanish was difficult

Its location. We asked for a non-smoking room which we got but it had clearly been smoked in.

everything - situated on a building site. surrounded by naval and steel works. couldn't open window as dust blowing in. nowhere comfortable to sit in public area bar/snack room always full with workmen from surrounding area who weren't friendly and made us feel uncomfortable. a long walk to the town which was also very run down. no local bars/restaurants etc

Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable bed. Had a dinner once - liked it. The cafeteria has a nice choice of sandwiches -- it was cheaper to have breakfast there than have a buffet breakfast. Close to metro station. As we came by metro, it wasn't so hard to find as many people say here - when you come out of the mero and climb the stairs, it could be seen from there.

Quite far from the city centre. The area around is not really attractive. Buffet breakfast is expensive.

For us pet friendly for our 2 dog was important and close proximity to Brittany Ferry port. Secure parking and easy access. Bar and restaurant were very good. Rooms were adequate and quiet. We would stay again at Hotel Naval Sestano and highly recommend the hotel to friends. Thanks for our comfortable stay. Linda and Philip

From the moment we arrived the staff were extremely helpful, and they actually spoke good English. The room was exceptionally large and comfortable for the price we paid. We didn't have the opportunity to eat in the dining room but it appears to be very good value.

It is rather difficult to get to. Road signs are nonexistent or confusing and the Metro (which is fantastic when you find it) is not as accessible as made out in the info.

Nice, comfortable room. Secure parking at a reasonable rate. By the time I had checked in, the restaurant had officially closed at 3.30pm but the staff there were kind enough to serve me a meal and were very pleasant and efficient about it.I Try to stay at interesting hotels, and this certainly was; it backs onto a shipbuilders and my view was of the a ship under construction and the huge cranes - not a complaint, I found the while thing interesting to watch and a bonus.

Tricky to find using satellite navigation system. It is some way from the centre of Bilbao; I had a car so not much of a problem, but a 20 Euro taxi ride for a couple I met who were there to attend a concert at the Guggenheim. Still, one knows the distance from the centre before booking, so it is a balance of price versus proximity, and the Metro (a ten minute amble away) will get you there for about 80 cents - apparently. On the subject of price: I am travelling extensively, with my small dog in tow, and book hotels on-line, often on the morning of arrival. I expect to pay a supplement for her, but this hotel tried to charge 25% of the room rate - twelve Euros. This was without the offer of a water bowl or other pet-related item. I have stayed at fifteen establishments so far and only one other was going to charge (ten Euros), but that was to cover supplying the water bowl, a bed (would need cleaning after the stay) and toys, however, they waived it when they realised I had brought the equipment. My point is that Booking.com/the hotel should ensure the supplement amount is clearly stated, not just a cover-all 'supplement might apply' which leaves one at the mercy of the hotel. When I asked how the hotel arrived at the figure of 12 Euros, they could not supply an answer. Getting nowhere with the polite but clueless young man on reception, I asked to see the manager, to be told he was 'in a meeting' - yes, he would be, wouldn't he? I stood my ground and and eventually the manager appeared and agreed to a six Euros supplement, though it was a very poor exercise in customer relations and soured what had been up till then a pleasant stay. To balance that, the check-in staff were very polite and helpful. The front of the hotel faces a huge, unattractive buildings wasteland, so it will not be winning any awards for being beautifully set.

The price to park the car in the secure area should be free, we stayed at the hotel last year and did not have to pay for secure parking,

Unfortunately, I liked nothing about the hotel. One big disappointment.

1. Very hard to find this hotel (lack of this location in gps). I wasted few hours to find this hotel. 2. The hotel is located in the shipyard. There was rubble and garbage around. 3. During breakfast moldy (and after the expiration date) muffins were given. 4. Hotel rooms adjacent to the hostel for the workers.

Disposición de enchufes un poco rara y también cosas lógicas de hoteles que no había como minibar y una papelera..
